1st job guys. Hit the like for me if you enjoy the video. It helps more than you know.
So I had these pebble just sitting there and thought it was best to use them for something. I'm happy with how the scape turned out after making a few changes that you will see in the video.

I like it sparse like that now that the background is off, I’m thinking of it with a couple weeks growth. I love the way it looks, a lot of the tanks look great the day you do them and then a week or two later the plants fill in and it’s just a big ball of Green. I think I like it with a lot of the background showing and not a lot of plants like right after you took the stuff off and repainted the wall I really liked the depth of it.

I saw a cool trick for when ADA or similar aqua soil spills over into the sand, you can use a magnet to pick it up. I saw another video where some guy had a magnet on the end of a stick and he would just pick up the little balls of aqua soil out of the sand with the magnet and shake it and it would fall right off, apparently there’s a little bit of iron in them and for the OCD people who like to keep them separate I thought that was a pretty good tip. Lol.

  • @luisribeiro4267

    Brother, I love your work!
The end result is just a beautiful lush green jungle for you guppies! Congrats.
You’ve come a long way in a short period of time, I would say.
Keep it up, you deserve the attention and the success!!!
Now, for some friendly constructive criticism, if I may:
    LESS IS MORE
    1. you stuck so many different species of plants, it looks like you’re just running through the plants catalog ant trying them out, all in the same playground; I mean, you should learn all about as many different species as you can, but perhaps grouping them up in different tanks rather then juggling them all together in a cramped area; you’ve got enough plants there to feed a small village 😳😄😁😋🤣👍🏻
    2. the pebbles are beautiful (and the pebbles wrapped in moss just shows your growing craftsmanship) but again, too many pebbles; don’t stack them up, otherwise you end up with a Great-wall of China look... it doesn’t feel natural; loose some, it will improve the looks, I assure you
    3. keeping it simple is deceivingly tricky, and achieving a Nature like look is the key of success; check out this river-like pebbled scape and appreciate the diversity of plants, still getting an homogenous final looks in terms of textures and leaf-forms that go well together and balance the entire composition
    ua-cam.com/video/pMyzCUBYUNY/v-deo.html & ua-cam.com/video/oHtACMTK0oY/v-deo.html
Yes, you should completely ignore me and just go on with what pleases your soul
But as time goes by, I personally tend to be attracted by the simplest of designs ... who said grasping ART was easy? 😉🙏🏼💪🏼👌🏼
Stay strong brother, have fun! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🇵🇹

Couple of question I have is when it comes to your substrate and hardscape primarily the wood. Do you pre-soak the wood and/or boil it? And the substrate do you pre-wash?
I'm finding if and when I do new tanks and or clean ones up the wood will either make the water somewhat tea colored and the substrate seems to make the water foggy. Not sure if it's just how it is with you or b/c you work with larger tanks maybe you don't have that problem?

    • @MDFishTanks
      @MDFishTanks  4 роки тому +2
