The voice of the narrator is much better in the second part than in the first one,
That’s why Siphilis was rife!😂
OMG!!! I love Versailles, this video is awesome! 😍
Nobles had to live in the palace so that the king could keep an eye on them-he was afraid from rebellion.
Much different! The court had extravagant amusements day and night. Balls weren't the only festivities. Operas, ballets, and fireworks were part of life day and night. The King kept his court in dependent subjection by requiring an extravagant lifestyle that ruined them so they would be dependent on his caprices.
I think life in Versailles is a non ending party !!
Basically, a more fun version of our British high society and Royalty!
Listen. A real person and not a robot
Engaging! I like the part with gambling 🤑😄
The idea that one would be faithful to their spouse was laughable in Versilles. -- What a rotten joke!
yes, we watched Versailles series and there were lots and lots of gambling and sex. i dont know if it was true with the real life but watching this vid, i think they were true, indeed
Marriages were arranged as to be most beneficial to the family. Rarely did spouses love each other but Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette not only respected each other they did care for one another. Louis XIV was married and had so many mistresses who bore him many children who several of them ended up marrying into noble families. Lots of inbreeding there.
Ce n’est pas Disney partout dans le monde!
At first blush, people like hefner for mansion took notice. A guilded cage - where the illusion surpassed the reality.
Church & Gambling? How did they keep it together?
Interesting subject-matter is sorta ruined by the awkward cadence of the robot, I mean, narrator.
Better than the first part.
I'd hate it.
Talk about stress in silks and satin.
I'm sorry I cannot take this valuable bit of history seriously since these people didn't wash Lol.😬. My mind cannot get pass the awful smell of everybody which is so ironic because they looked so beautiful in paintings
So.. they weren't so keen on Facebook then? They should have been, it's the perfect time waster.
Boring mass
Awful narration.
I would bring Love to Versailles as there was obviously no love there at all. Only stupid games
