      I use type to type-C on my phone and will be the same with tablet. The dongle also works if you have type-C to usb-A adapter.

    Weird question. If you remove the battery, does the controller still work if connected with the cable?

      Not sure. I think it should not work. Some controller will not work too, like it's okay to have a dead battery, but no battery will stop everything.

    Are they prone to stick drift? I am planning to pick one up to get the best out of the box expierence on Linux (Not via steam input but by default)

      Yup. This is not hall sensor. It also don't have any calibration system. Literally just plug and play. Skip if you're looking for a hall sensor. controller.

      ​@@milkkolaj welp... The only Hall sensor controller from 8BitDo is $70. I think the difference between this controller and 2.4G is how much customization and convenient you can have.
      Mapping the back buttons to stick click already can significantly extend the life expectancy of the joystick.
      If you can afford another $20, go for it.

    Hello buddy once again. Do you ever recommend getting this if I already have an 8bitdo Pro 2? I could get it for about $31 dollars.
    The D-PAD is a big concern to me, which would like to know if can get something even better. Either by 8bitdo or other more quality controllers.
    I mostly play retro gaming by emulation. I mostly look to have precise d-pad input without other wrong entries.
    Thank you once again for your wise videos. Really like them so much. You deserve so much more audience because this great knowledge.

      I think both feels as a same DPad. I suggest save a bit and go for $40 $50 tier.

      @@kaiserdostuff Any recommendation from your side bud? Mostly about the d-pad like I said, to not get wrong inputs between directional keys like the NES-snes controllers used to avoid.

      @@naam4769 i'll go with Flydigi Direwolf or T4 Kaleid for DPad. Both is good but very different style and different construction. However, I don't play enough classic or using DPad as main input, so take this with grain of salt.

      @@kaiserdostuff There's available for $37 to get T4 Kaleid. But also considering the fact I got 8Bitdo Pro 2 for $40,25 ,do you think is even worth to get the T4?
      I mean for the d-pad or Hall sensors.

    It's perfect for our children's first control. Cheap, simple and sturdy. Green for boys and purple for girls.

      Why not purple for the boys and green for the girls? Your kids should learn about options, otherwise your son will never be a Star cook and your daughter not an engineer constructing motorcycles.
