The adaptive behavior means the ai controlling the dinosaurs is going to learn and you won't be able to keep using the same tricks to avoid and escape them, similar to the Xenomorph in Alien: Isolation.
I hope that they used this system or in a similar way, bc that's gives u the sensation that not every gameplay is gonna be always exactly each time. And I hope that u can had the chance to do open world with a lineal structure. A mix between Generation Zero and Last of us , with a part of alien insolation. That's gonna be a very good mix I think but we had to wait to see the result. I'M EXCITING
You go to where Muldoon's body should be, you find a dead raptor. Out from the bushes steps Muldoon, face all cut up and stitched poorly, but still alive.
Nah, we know there were only 3 raptors in the park at that point, 1 was in the shed with the electronics that needed to be reactivated, the other 2 went after Muldoon. Then later on they attacked the group, 1 got locked in the freezer, 1 kept following the kids, and one came in from outside, both of those 2 got killed by the T-rex.
Can't wait for this game!! Looks super promising and it's nice to go back to the 90's era of Jurassic again!! It definitely is taking a lot of inspiration from Alien Isolation which is exactly what fans have been asking for!!

I doubt it will be like isolation, alien movies and franchise were for more mature audience than JP ever was. But im fine with it as long as they do it with good taste. Isolation was too intense for me anyways, enjoying is not the word describing how i felt playing it lol. And cant agree more that i love they actually went back to the OG 90's JP!

Maya Joshi was in JURASSIC PARK, during the scene where Grant and the others see the cryogenics lab from the theater area, and if you look closely, you can see a woman with the same ponytail like Joshi put away some embryos in the cryo chamber.
I just looked at that but you see earlier in that sequence that same person when mr dna is talking about extracting the dna from the mosquitos. And she unfortunately doesn’t resemble her at all she a lot older looking and doesn’t have glasses

The raptor in the freezer PROBABLY got out using the push-to-unlock emergency feature that is built into all freezer doors like the one in JP. They have a push button on the inside normally about 3 - 4 inches in diameter that when pushed unlocks the door from the inside. That way workers dont get trapped.
tresspasser doesn't need a remaster, it needs to be completely remade from the ground up and everything that was missing from the original is put into the game and they should definitely reuse the john hammond diary recordings, as long as the actor's family and estate says its ok
LOVE the fact that they did so much with the dilo - the kitchen scene, the shadow appearing in the visitor centre, the peeking out from behind the tree. Anything showcasing the dilo has me hooked, doesn't get enough love. Will definitely be getting this game.
Freezers and walk-in fridges usually have a mechanism link a push-button latch release that activates the latch from the inside. If the raptors can figure out a doorknob then a button shouldn't be an issue.
I think the first book explained that the raptors figured out how to use doorknobs by watching their handlers open and close doors frequently. Learning something new with no frame of reference might be quite a bit trickier, although definitely not impossible.
I am not that worried about the concerns of “virtue signaling” or whatever people are concerned about for two reasons: 1. A British/Indian scientist absolutely would probably be employed in the park in the 90’s. 2. Because this game seems to be putting more focus on action-adventure and Joshi might be the only person on the island, they likely won’t hamper it with a forced political message. As long as she’s written well and feels grounded, properly showcasing the fear and tension of being outmatched, I’m okay with it.
It would be cool if BioSyn soldiers went to the island to retrieve the canister and I think them being hostile to you could work in a “no witnesses” kind of way

7:50 She's an employee so it's possible she would know the T-Rex is distracted by flares. Not to mention, as shown in the movies, the dilophosaurus is not easily distracted (like when Nedry throws the stick). I'm hoping the AI works in a way that really makes the dinosaurs feel like unique individuals
The T. rex and the flare could be from a later point in the game’s story, where Maya has survived enough dinosaur encounters to feel ready to take Rexie on. Maya starting out in the Visitor’s Center makes sense if she was waylaid there, or nearby and prevented from making contact. It’s the base of operations and the location on the island other survivors are more likely to go to, and indeed did. Jurassic Park: The Game also used the Visitor’s Center as the main opening location for an encounter with the T. rex before sending the protagonists out into the Park and other facilities on the island proper.
10:46 I hope they have metriacanthosaurs or herrerasaurs as the surprising threats because they were cannon because they were on ingen’s list, but not actually shown on screen. That would also explain why we see big slash marks at the beginning of the trailer. But that’s just my theory.

Jurassic Park had a multi-national and multi- cultural cast in the 90s. The character of Maya Joshi, by then sounds of it, is British Indian. In a company like InGen that is owned by a Scottish person, it's not a massive stretch that he would have hired staff from Britain, like he hired Muldoon. British Indians are the biggest 'immigrant' group in Britain, and they tend to be very successful. So it's not unrealistic that a British Indian scientist would be hired for Jurassic Park. Your comments are unfair, ignorant and borderline racist. And FWIW I grew up in the 90s in the UK. And her character makes perfect sense.

You mentioned that the character is scared of the dilophosaurus, but doesn’t seem to mind the T. Rex. Maybe they could add some backstory to that, like her friend or some worker was blinded by one and she’s seen what it can do. That would be really cool, bringing some stuff from even Michael Crichton back for some darker ideas.
It felt pretty weird on the trailer. It seems to me they just wanted to end the trailer ending up as "badass" or empowering for some reason, which was pretty weird.

I want to quickly say this, but JP Operations is still being made. It won’t use the Jurassic Park IP and they will rebrand it to “Cretaceous Kingdom”, but it’s still being made. I recommend checking the developer’s video on JP Survival for more information.
Nice Video Details of the Jurassic Park Survival Game and what we know so far and I pretty much agree with everything you said and Life Definitely Finds A Way with this and it cannot get more exciting than I thought. Great Work Klayton and as always, Take It Easy and Life Finds A Way.
In terms of weapons I hope we can get maybe a spas 12 or a revolver but we’re limited to how much we use it because ammo is so scarce. We’d have to be very selective on how we use it and that could work really really well in this game.
Or like Alien: Isolation where the gun and flamethrower only work to deter the Xenomorph, not actually kill it. That being said, it might not work cos a velociraptor and dilophosaurus should be killable with bullets technically.
As someone who grew up with Jurassic Park and didn't enjoy at all Jurassic World, I'm amazed by this trailer. The fact they are returning to 1993 makes me excited as I'm not since 2001.

I really hope she has a UK Indian accent and utilize a lot of her science backgrounds in gameplay such as having access to certain areas or knowledge that could help you cross an area because you know what threats might linger. Definitely always wanted a dinosaur Isolation style game ever since I played it and with Jurassic Park being grounded in horror with the books more than movie it would be nice if it's at least a Pegi-18 or M rating not so much for violence but for true ability to create tension and fear with design elements
I have a theory between her reactions from the Dilos to the Rex. Perhaps she gains more confidence throughout the game and the Dilos are early on while that Rex encounter is much later. That would mean she goes through some level of character development as she survives more and more situations and frankly, that would be awesome.
I was sort of thinking that she might've had some bad experience with the Dilos. After all, they 'discovered' that they were poisonous at JP, so maybe she or a coworker was injured by one. I mean, realistically, it's all just to amp up the suspense of the trailer, but if there's a story element to it, awesome.

We don’t see anything work against dilophosaurus. They didn’t chase the stick Nedry threw in the film, they didn’t chase the flashlight in this trailer so it’s not like she had too many options other than to run from it. Just my $.02
I just hope that the game include more dinosaurs than the one in the movies, like the Telltale Game, maybe Pteranodons, Stegosaurus, Baryonyx or Compsognathus

Honestly it would have been so awesome to see a similar game set in site b. Like a couple of employees getting left behind during the evacuation of the island and having to find a way to radio for help.

Trevor survived alone just fine in JP3. And the Camp Creataus kids also survive amongst the dinos with essentially no problems. Literally it is canon that you can stand next to predators if you are next to a watering hole. So she shouldn't have too much trouble surviving.

I'm SO happy this game was announced. It's basically just what I was hoping for a new JP game in terms of gameplay! Actually had an idea that would have an either separate or a fractured story that took place on Sorna as well as Nublar. My idea would have you play a Biosyn agent (or maybe a different similar organization, the games are prime real-estate for world building like that), hunting for Ingen trade secrets when shit inevitably goes wrong. A mix of stealth action and survival adventure... Either way, super hyped for JP: Survival here!
I’m really excited for this especially because movies can only show so much while following the story but in a game the possibility to see and explore more is opened and being in first person the fear and adrenaline will only be multiplied
I hope Survival doesn't contradict the TellTale game too much. It'd be nice to have both games as sound material for speculation. Also, I totally think the suprise threat will be mercs hired by BioSyn. I see stealth moments going on here, maybe leading dinosaurs towards the mercs, maybe getting a gun from the mercs to defend ourselves.
I am hoping for a scary thriller action adventure game. One aspect I really want is the infrastructure of JP. I wanna see more buildings. And structures of the park. But it does seem like this game trailer shows that a lot of effort and detail was put into it. Fingers crossed

Well yeah, but Dr. Grant still showed fear when he had to go against Rexy. Even with fear in eyes, he still did what needed to be done to save the kids. The trailer could've at least made Maya show fear in her eyes too. Maybe show her trying to control her breathing after running from the Dilo, collapsing from being tired/anxious, and now having to deal with Rexy in the rain. A brave face from her just doesn't fit here. Owen Grady, yeah I can see that happening.
The flare thing doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me considering that Dr. Grant did it in hopes that it would work so it was kind of a theoretical test so it doesn’t make sense that she already knows what to do
I would absolutely love a jurassic park/world game in the mold of something like the game Grounded meets camp cretaceous season 2. Basically a traditional survival game but placed in the aftermath of jurassic park or jurassic world, sounds like a blast.
I don’t think you’ll be allowed to kill dinosaurs in this game since Isla Nublar doesn’t have a lot a dinosaurs because the Park wasn’t open yet and they just got release and are just starting to breed.

On the subject of if this game will have horror elements to it, there has already been a game that is first person, and features dinosaurs, and is labelled as an action-adventure and its the Peter Jackson's King Kong video game from 2005. That game is not labelled as a horror in any way, but the levels in it where you play as Jack execute its horror elements in such an amazing way that it kinda feels like false advertising. The atmosphere is eerie and gets under your skin, supplies are scarce and need to be used with care, and enemies are ruthless and bloodthirsty. I still remember playing that game when I was around 9 or 10 years old and encountering a big raptor for the first time. Terrified I was. So horror in JP Survival can be done despite not being labeled a horror at all, King Kong proves it.
I really hope that in a near future they're going to make a Jurasic game like Dead by daylight or that stuff using all the dinosaur from the franchise, I initially thought that this game was supposed to be like that and that the female character was just used as a marketing tool but instead no, we got a horror game, kinda nice

Most of the stuff in the trailer are just key moments from the movies, the flare is from JP/JW when Alan/Claire want the T-Rex to chase him/her. The flashlight is from the T-Rex escape scene from the OG movie ect.
Right it literally looks like they just used the game engine to edit over shots from the movie, I think even "Pre-rendered engine footage" is a stretch 😂

Not to mention, as shown in the movies, the dilophosaurus is not easily distracted (like when Nedry throws the stick). I'm hoping the AI works in a way that really makes the dinosaurs feel like unique individuals
They did say that each dinosaur will have distinct and adaptive behaviors.
This really does sound like Alien: Isolation, but it's jurassic park.
The T. rex and the flare could be from a later point in the game’s story, where Maya has survived enough dinosaur encounters to feel ready to take Rexie on.
Maya starting out in the Visitor’s Center makes sense if she was waylaid there, or nearby and prevented from making contact. It’s the base of operations and the location on the island other survivors are more likely to go to, and indeed did. Jurassic Park: The Game also used the Visitor’s Center as the main opening location for an encounter with the T. rex before sending the protagonists out into the Park and other facilities on the island proper.
This game looks interesting. Hopefully it won't end up being rushed to market without being finished completely. (It has happened a lot recently.)

In Jurassic Park, they had Muldoon who is English, Hammond is Scottish, Henry Wu is American Chinese, John Arnold is African American. Jurassic Park had a multi-national and multi- cultural cast in the 90s.
The character of Maya Joshi, by then sounds of it, is British Indian.
In a company like InGen that is owned by a Scottish person, it's not a massive stretch that he would have hired staff from Britain, like he hired Muldoon.
British Indians are the biggest 'immigrant' group in Britain, and they tend to be very successful. So it's not unrealistic that a British Indian scientist would be hired for Jurassic Park.

You mentioned that the character is scared of the dilophosaurus, but doesn’t seem to mind the T. Rex. Maybe they could add some backstory to that, like her friend or some worker was blinded by one and she’s seen what it can do. That would be really cool, bringing some stuff from even Michael Crichton back for some darker ideas.

I want to quickly say this, but JP Operations is still being made. It won’t use the Jurassic Park IP and they will rebrand it to “Cretaceous Kingdom”, but it’s still being made. I recommend checking the developer’s video on JP Survival for more information.

In terms of weapons I hope we can get maybe a spas 12 or a revolver but we’re limited to how much we use it because ammo is so scarce. We’d have to be very selective on how we use it and that could work really really well in this game.
Or like Alien: Isolation where the gun and flamethrower only work to deter the Xenomorph, not actually kill it. That being said, it might not work cos a velociraptor and dilophosaurus should be killable with bullets technically.
As someone who grew up with Jurassic Park and didn't enjoy at all Jurassic World, I'm amazed by this trailer. The fact they are returning to 1993 makes me excited as I'm not since 2001.

I really hope she has a UK Indian accent and utilize a lot of her science backgrounds in gameplay such as having access to certain areas or knowledge that could help you cross an area because you know what threats might linger. Definitely always wanted a dinosaur Isolation style game ever since I played it and with Jurassic Park being grounded in horror with the books more than movie it would be nice if it's at least a Pegi-18 or M rating not so much for violence but for true ability to create tension and fear with design elements
I have a theory between her reactions from the Dilos to the Rex. Perhaps she gains more confidence throughout the game and the Dilos are early on while that Rex encounter is much later. That would mean she goes through some level of character development as she survives more and more situations and frankly, that would be awesome.

I was sort of thinking that she might've had some bad experience with the Dilos. After all, they 'discovered' that they were poisonous at JP, so maybe she or a coworker was injured by one. I mean, realistically, it's all just to amp up the suspense of the trailer, but if there's a story element to it, awesome.

We don’t see anything work against dilophosaurus. They didn’t chase the stick Nedry threw in the film, they didn’t chase the flashlight in this trailer so it’s not like she had too many options other than to run from it. Just my $.02
I just hope that the game include more dinosaurs than the one in the movies, like the Telltale Game, maybe Pteranodons, Stegosaurus, Baryonyx or Compsognathus

Honestly it would have been so awesome to see a similar game set in site b. Like a couple of employees getting left behind during the evacuation of the island and having to find a way to radio for help.

Trevor survived alone just fine in JP3. And the Camp Creataus kids also survive amongst the dinos with essentially no problems. Literally it is canon that you can stand next to predators if you are next to a watering hole.

Actually had an idea that would have an either separate or a fractured story that took place on Sorna as well as Nublar.
My idea would have you play a Biosyn agent (or maybe a different similar organization, the games are prime real-estate for world building like that), hunting for Ingen trade secrets when shit inevitably goes wrong. A mix of stealth action and survival adventure...
Either way, super hyped for JP: Survival here!
I’m really excited for this especially because movies can only show so much while following the story but in a game the possibility to see and explore more is opened and being in first person the fear and adrenaline will only be multiplied
I hope Survival doesn't contradict the TellTale game too much. It'd be nice to have both games as sound material for speculation.
Also, I totally think the suprise threat will be mercs hired by BioSyn. I see stealth moments going on here, maybe leading dinosaurs towards the mercs, maybe getting a gun from the mercs to defend ourselves.

Well yeah, but Dr. Grant still showed fear when he had to go against Rexy. Even with fear in eyes, he still did what needed to be done to save the kids. The trailer could've at least made Maya show fear in her eyes too. Maybe show her trying to control her breathing after running from the Dilo, collapsing from being tired/anxious, and now having to deal with Rexy in the rain. A brave face from her just doesn't fit here. Owen Grady, yeah I can see that happening.

I don’t think you’ll be allowed to kill dinosaurs in this game since Isla Nublar doesn’t have a lot a dinosaurs because the Park wasn’t open yet and they just got release and are just starting to breed.
All of the Dinos were female. They were put on the island specifically to NOT breed.

On the subject of if this game will have horror elements to it, there has already been a game that is first person, and features dinosaurs, and is labelled as an action-adventure and its the Peter Jackson's King Kong video game from 2005.
That game is not labelled as a horror in any way, but the levels in it where you play as Jack execute its horror elements in such an amazing way that it kinda feels like false advertising. The atmosphere is eerie and gets under your skin, supplies are scarce and need to be used with care, and enemies are ruthless and bloodthirsty.
I still remember playing that game when I was around 9 or 10 years old and encountering a big raptor for the first time. Terrified I was.
So horror in JP Survival can be done despite not being labeled a horror at all, King Kong proves it.
I really hope that in a near future they're going to make a Jurasic game like Dead by daylight or that stuff using all the dinosaur from the franchise, I initially thought that this game was supposed to be like that and that the female character was just used as a marketing tool but instead no, we got a horror game, kinda nice

Most of the stuff in the trailer are just key moments from the movies, the flare is from JP/JW when Alan/Claire want the T-Rex to chase him/her. The flashlight is from the T-Rex escape scene from the OG movie ect.
Right it literally looks like they just used the game engine to edit over shots from the movie, I think even "Pre-rendered engine footage" is a stretch 😂
