- Trespasser: Jurassic Park is a 1998 survival game that deserves a remaster. This was and still is a very influential game but because it was released unfinished it became a controversial title that failed to meet expectations. STILL with the news of JP: Survival now getting a trailer this old 90’s title could be resurrected and bring in a lot of attention to the Jurassic World brand. Set after The Lost World and coming out before JP3, this game was inspirational to Half Life 2 and would even be perfect for VR like Aftermath was!

A finished remastered of tresspasser would be cool and with a fan base on this game already established it would be something Jurassic Park fans will definitely buy.
Trespasser did something which a lot of Jurassic Park games never did for years. How a concept like this has gone untouched is baffling. A Jurassic Park horror survival seems so simple to do!
Plus referencing other dinosaurs like Cyclops and a Novel Carnosaurus maybe, with a mix of Jurassic Park 3 Raptors would be incredible!
Trespasser was very unfinished (good example is the unfinished Dinosaur Emotion system), so seeing not only an HD Remake of the game but also a remake that includes these scrapped concepts and fixes a lot of the broken systems would be VERY cool.
It would have to be remade. The code for Trespasser is far too old to try remastering.
An updated version of Trespasser with movie accurate dinos and sounds would be awesome. Just keep it Lost World Jurassic Park themed.
A remaster of Trespasser would be AMAZING! I have commented before in the lets play, Trespasser was a game I played over and over as a kid. The bugs and quirks gave it character and I would love to see it rebuilt with improved graphics, physics, etc. I really hope this leads to something amazing in a few years!
Trespasser really was a game ahead of its time. The first game to use ragdoll physics, and the Hammond speeches are like early audio logs we see often in games today. I think it deserves to finally become the game it originally intended to be. But even if not a full remake, a remaster with some AI and QoL updates and including cut content would be good too.
I personally think _Trespasser: Jurassic Park_ needs to be overhauled, a full finished version, including with AI, a better walking system, better animations for the dinosaurs…keep the heart Tattoo as health, and all this other stuff. Maybe a whole remake?

Worth noting, that the dinosaur movement is generated with their AI using inverse kinematics, so if the AI is messy (buggy), so is the movement it generates.
I feel like the 2005 King Kong game was a spiritual successor of sorts with how it went with the no hud and limited weapons selection. I wonder how a remaster would be done? 🤔

I also strongly believe that the arcade games seriously needs to be ported to modern consoles & PC since those games deserve to be played again and not on a expensive machine and/or MAME that isn't always easy to get working. this would include both the Sega arcade games, Konami's JPIII, and Raw Thrills Jurassic Park from 2014.

@@paolopasaol9700 I for the life of me can’t understand why they’ve never attempted to release these games even on older consoles like the Sega Saturn. JP1 esp needs to be ported properly since outside of MAME, the only way to play it is the arcade machine itself which is not only rare but an expensive machine due to the amusement park ride type mechanics.

A Trespasser Remake would be great! A game studio that found the source code of the game sounds like a step in the right direction. This along side with upcoming releases like Jurassic Park Survival and the Fan Game by Krenautican, JP Operations, now titled Cretaceous Kingdom is a fantastic sign that we might be coming into a new era of Jurassic Games and content! Let us hope Universal delivers so fans can be very happy!

Huge fan of your videos i watched the video with the raptor getting out of the freezer i think the raptor got the door open with a emergency lock release if you look while tim is running out of the freezer there is a white knob in inside of the freezer door and the white knob would be the emergency lock release unlocking the door then some raptors help the big one out of the freezer
This game has sound recordings of Richard Attenborough narrating parts of the island and are closest thing in the Jurassic Park universe to really capturing that essence the first movie really had. It would be CRIMINAL not to use these in any other property let alone a remaster for the game.
I still have my original copy of Tresspasser sitting in my video game collection. A modern remake, yes please sign me up and take my money.

What survival could be just that
I'd love to see them make like a finished version of the game, keep what's there and just add and fix things; but a remaster/remake would be very welcome too.
Just imagine if we got a remastered version of Trespasser and it turns out to do really well, and maybe the game could even have brief events where it ties in with the Lost World Jurassic Park movie, but the main girl character is simply a passerby to these events and doesn’t get to actually participate in it and observes from a distance, like for example the girl character is walking along a stream in the woods and then you hear Dieter Stark’s screams as he’s getting attacked by Compies, but by the time you arrive to where you heard his screams you see the compies feasting on his dead body but then you throw something to scare them away and then you can collect anything he might’ve been carrying in his pockets, imagine the potential for possible Trespasser sequels like a story based on JP3 and the beginning of Jurassic World after the events of the movie, plus you’d be able to encounter the Spino in that game because we know it didn’t die at the end of the movie as well, and the story could also follow up to how we got to Jurassic World, and then finally, a game based on dinosaurs around the modern world that takes place after Jurassic World Dominion where we could see many animals that appeared in the movie, even the possibility of there being more than one Giganotosaurus besides Zeb which may have more competent threats by comparison, since Zeb would be dead at this point after all because the game takes place after Dominion, also potential legacy animals like the Spinosaurus & JP trilogy Velociraptors that didn’t get to appear in the movie, and also the possibility of animals that have never appeared in the movies or the series in general. It could be a great trilogy that could fill in the gaps that the movies don’t really explore which also feeling new in a sense.

I would like to find and play Trespasser again. Also, I believe Trespasser would fit well for VR, if we follow the concept of the arm.
What we also need is a remaster/remake of Peter Jackson's King Kong game.
It still to early to hope and suggest this.
But if JP survival because a success , they should take klayton an idea of a return to JP trilogy and make a game trilogy . That would be extremely awesome.
After Jurassic Park Survival, the best path to take it´s a Lost World game
It would be awesome to have small to medium dinosaurs be able to go in and out of the buildings like they wanted in the original game, Just imagine having a Raptor or Dilophosaurus follow you into one of them and you had to figure out a way to get out stealthily while you're being stalked/hunted

The concept of Trespasser is something that i think of one of the greatest pieces of JP History. To see it come in a finished version, completely fixed and maybe reworked in some aspects would be an absolute treat.
And i would love a playthrough from you if it should come, the greatest JP UA-camr and the most rememberable JP game is just too good of a combination.

I just retired, and just beat Trespasser AGAIN! In over 50 years of life, I have beat this game about 20 times. It is one of the most IMMERSIVE and best RPG games I have played. Resident Evil 4 is another favorite. Trespasser is old graphics and some, awkard controls. But to the Jurassic Park fan - you get to walk around in the park after evacuation battle dinosaurs all the way to the top of the highest mountain on the island. BEYOND EPIC! I challenge someone to re make this - mostly the same with MODERN graphics. I can't find anything today where the game is EPIC while you are stuck in Jurassic Park. FANTASTIC game!
I think Trespasser would have been a bigger game in its time if it had also come out on the consoles at the time. I never got to play it because my family didn't own a gaming PC, or even a regular one. Not many people owned home computers back then like nowadays. By the time I was old enough to buy my own PC the game was super old and outdated.

As long as it keeps a "What's going to pop out at me next?" or "What's making that stomping sound?" sort of terror, while also keeping some puzzles, I'll be fine. Those two combined simultaneously would definitely scare me. For example: You're trying to figure a way to progress, stacking some crates or something, then you hear a chirping nearby. You think, "Hey, that might just be a bird or something," but you look, and it's a Compy or Dilo or something. Imagine a full-grown Dilo, twenty odd feet long, just looking at you. Watching. Waiting. Analyzing. Sizing you up as prey. Absolutely terrifying.
They also should have certain dinosaurs go after each other. Raptors vs Triceratops, or Rex vs Stegosaurus, or Rex vs Brachiosaurus/Mamenchisaurus, just as a few examples.
The simplicity. Love it. Turn brightness down max for perfect shading! Play unpatched vanilla version for max intensity (can't jump away;-)
Um. I don't know if we should flog a dead horse especially with survival coming. Trespasser had some great elements, but it was filled with issues. I'm happy to leave it in my (happy) memories.

This is an awesome idea! Would love to see Trespasser reborn into the game it should have been. They should add those really cool mod levels also. I think there was one with the Spinosaurus that was in a dark area.

Maybe in your next videos, you might want to unveil the reasons behind the restrictions of firearms in the "current" Jurassic park videogame franchises, it has been discussed also on reddit, but no one has the answers... 1. book version of the carntaurus at a village area
2. like the man said, an egg hatchery area like in JP3, with a raptor jumpscare and everything
3. maybe more book based stuff, for example, finding a raptor den inside a cavern system near the volcano.

I grew up in the '90s like all the melenials did, I was a Dino nerd who read up 'en studied all about them for the fun of it. I even watched blockbusters & dinosaur documentaries, & collected dinosaur toys; it was just a fun time being a jurassic park fan, but somehow I actually missed this game. This is something that I would have played when I was a kid, be that "IF" I had one of them old school boxy looking computers from back then. Would love to see trespasser get remastered & if it came out for the switch Nintendo 'en all the other videogame consuls we have today, I would still wanna play it upon its release. But they gotta fix all them quirks with the moving animitronics this game had, do something about the weird dates for trespasser [I mean fix it], finish with editing the missions that were left unfinished prior to its origional release, & I would actually like to see some of the scenes from the lost world novel to be somehow incorporated into this game; like the camoflauging Carnotaurus scene from night. I think that would be the most awesome jurassic park experience ever, but I'll have to hold my breath 'till after jurassic park survival comes out. Who knows, maybe that game will even surpass the legendary trespasser...🤔hmm.
I'd love a full-on remake of Trespasser. Right from the ground up and with extra content that couldn't make it in, like more dinos and that raptor leaping mech (I know it's put back in thru mods, but it'd still be cool to see proper).

Absolutely. It basically felt like a game limited by the input devices of the time. It feels like a proto vr title but done only on a flat screen with keyboard and mouse controls.

I want a remake of this and before you complain, I really think Jurassic World Aftermath is incredibly underrated and if you play the game you will see why they needed the graphics and overall the game isn’t really “family friendly” you don’t even notice when your playing.
I have a plan to play it in the future and from what I’ve seen it actually looks pretty good. I think the art style might have held it back from getting more people to play it though. At least that’s what I’m heard

Oh boy.. You let your excitement get the best of you lol. I'm a fan of Trespasser.. I played back in the day and I loved it for what it was even with all it's shortcomings. If a remaster comes out, I will buy day 1. Pre order even. But there is no way this would be a massive success that would bring any significant of money to Universal. It's a very niche game with bad reputation that would make neglectable earnings at best. Secondly.. it would not be an easy task as you say. This game would need a lot of work to bring it up to acceptable modern standards. The arm controls with the mouse would need to be translated to controllers in order to work on consoles and even that wouldn't be enough for new audiences. Some redesigned would be required and a hybrid controller scheme would be necessary in order to make the gameplay more functional with way to change between free hand motion and locked traditional fps gunplay on the fly or something to make the game more function.
Restoring missing levels? Sure.. if the data is there and all it's needed is to polish unfinish map, then that would be possible. New dinos? No way. DLC? Not a chance. Bringing more of the actors to record additional lines? Way over budget.
Take 10 steps back, mate. lol.. .we will be luck if we get a remaster 1:1 at all. Still, it will be for preservation purposes and to appeal to the cult following. No matter what, the game will still have average to low score reviews and younger fans will not like it at all.
Back in the day, the game has it's innovative mechanics and incredibly advanced physics as it's main hook. Even if you didn't like the game itself, you were still impressed by it's tech. Today, there is nothing going for it other than nostalgia.
I think this game would be better off as a fully exclusive VR title. What it was trying to accomplish only became possible and fully realized in VR.

You know what would be as cool as a remaster of Trespasser? A Sequel to Warpath: Jurassic Park and the roster is made up of iconic dinosaur hybrids from Chaos Effect, Jurassic World Alive, an other JP/JW properties. I dunno about you, but i would be more than eager to support such a game.
Honestly maybe the makers of subnautica could do an amazing job, they did an amazing job on the first subnautica and the feel of terror because of creatures!
If this does get remade, I super hope they keep it to just the protagonist. No romance, no partners, just raw horror and survival that is an entire island ruled by countless dinosaurs. Heck, add mystery. It was fun to read documents and piece things together. Don't drag it down with other humans, I mean this is the perfect reason to BE alone, just like in the original Trespasser.

Yes, JURASSIC PARK TRESPASSER deserves to he remastered in both picture and sound, like they do with movies from the Criterion Collection.
Trespasser was a fun but broken game. I would love a remake. I was hoping they would have done it with the Wii seeing how the Wii mote would have been perfect for the one hand you control in the game
I beat the game back in the day, and despite the clunky controls it had so much good going for it. The voiceovers and narrations were perfect, as well as sound effects. Best part was you felt immersed like you were actually there, and the quiet walking around parts helped build the tension for when you’d run into yet another predator. Please remake for the Switch and I will gladly buy it! 🙏🙏🙏

another classic Jurassic Park game that strongly deserves to be re-released & remastered by Nightdive Studios, are both the DOS & Amiga versions of Jurassic Park.
I only know about Tresspassser from this channel. I'd totally play a remastered release of this game though. It always looked fun to me, but I don't play videogames much. Especially not old ones, I don't have the patience to sort out the issues.

This would be the best remastered game ever. Maybe they can include the Spinosaurus from JP III as a mini boss but as juvenile or a sub adult. Hopefully they can actually remaster Trespasser fully completed.

If Trespasser gets a remaster it needs to have a VR Port. The arms would probably work really well with the VR controllers.
for it to be truly good, the source code would mostly be irrelevant now other than as a reference. it should totally be made from the ground up rather than a source code asset upgrade! there's so much potential there for current-era code and animation making it as revolutionary as it was back in the day, with advances in ai scripts making the dinos unpredictable and scary as possible. it'd be amazing.
I'd reslly like for there to be a game where it's like a stealth operation taking place on one of the islands. It wouldn't have to be canon, but i think dinosaurs in that setting could be incredibly fun and give a new perspective to the animals

Tresspasser VR would be cool. The game needs to retain its janky controls, and making it VR would make it very similar to the original.

I remember how hyped I was for this game. Unfortunately it released in a completely broken state. This one needs the full Remake treatment. Who knows, maybe if Jurassic Park Survivor is a hit they might follow it up with a Remake of Trespasser.

I'm actually thinking, "yeah, over there you can find the wrecked jeep with the guns and ammo, over there is the plank that won't stay leaning up against the wall because they forgot to program friction into the physics engine". If Saber interactive acquires the rights then Trespasser remake could work as a thematic seauel to Survival. I'm hoping the franchise doesn't go extinct. The last two movies weren't that great but there's so much potential here.
Can you do a video about the classic games they didnt add to the collection? In particular the sega master system. And unless theyre gonna make a lost world collection, the sega lost world games are still lost to time. Maybe its not to late 🤷♂️
Trespasser deserves a functional, current gen remake! Even as a buggy, incomplete game, it was awesome!

Besides Trespasser getting a possible finished and updated remaster (probably the mechanics would be more similar to Half-Life Alyx to an extent), one Jurassic Park game I'd like to see is one that takes place in the book canon. I'm not even going to go into a lot of detail because I know many have read the OG book, but many awesome and tense moments such as the Raptors outsmarting Ellie and Muldoon (and killing Wu) and Muldoon and Gennaro tracking the main Tyrannosaur were just some moments in the book I want to see in video game format.
