HAND MADE roof lining and fitting. Glass removal and refitting. MK1 ford fiesta.

Mrs the mechanic wanted a challenge so she got one. she HAND MADE the new roof lining and i fitted it.
I have also taken out the rear quater window glass as well as the windscreen.

It was a job I wasn't looking forward to but turned out to be better than I could have ever imagined. Mrs the mechanic did an amazing job.

Great job, nicely done. I had a dirty cig smoke stained roof header cloth when I bought my last MK1 Fiesta but since it was intact and I never had the confidence to replace it I just ended up leaving it in place and spray painting it with a can of vinyl paint and it came out looking brand new.

Good tip! I had taken mine out when the car got painted and we've been talking about making a new one but now we did it and it looks great I think 😊

To get the rear qtr glass out I just used to lie on the back seat and push it out with my feet, you just apply even pressure near the top and it just pops out, have a mate outside to catch it just in case it comes out too easily.

Back in the early 90’s, my mates would pop the rear glass out of my mk1 while the car was in motion, for ‘ventilation’. Never broke one….
