RIP 8666. I loved those SD-50’s.
This is the video that got me into trains 10 years ago and have been so involved with them locally ever since.
Wow, thanks for watching again!
Hi CSX
@@BaltimoreAndOhioRR *acts like CSX **#8666** horn*
Same here BTW my first train vid
@@BaltimoreAndOhioRR 8129 has been fixed for all these years
13 years ago... Time flies really fast throughout the years!
Yes it does! 🕰
CSX 8666 TO THE RESCUE!!!!!!
😊😊😊😊 Yeah Woo
I remember this video by heart. B&O RR Thank you, Man

It’s Great That They saved CSX 8129
After many years I get to hear 8666’s horn again. Even though it sounds different now, it’s still great
1st century fox is the only place to go
i
hm
im surprised people still watch this video

I can't get enough of that 2nd Gen K5LA on that SD50. But It's a shame it's scrapped. The Number 1 bell was facing foward while the rest is facing backwards. No wonder why you hear the dominance in the Number 1 bell.
3:55 sounds like a subway train
Engine 8666 has an awesome sounding K5LA! Awesome catch!
Aq92w
I just love how the k1 bell is the only forward bell on it. You don't see that every day
Great catch!!!
I've been wanting to watch this one for a while. It kept getting recommended. Good video.
thx for watching!
No my childhood, RIP 8666 and pray that 434 will be re-built and thank god 8129 is still running.
GREAT K5LA and catch there Dave!
That railroad crossing is like OH COME ON ALREADY xD
lol xD
Railroad Crossing: HURRY UP! I NEED TO LOWER THE GATES FOR THE CARS TO STOP YOU SLOW CSX AUTORACK!
Relay case: Seriously? It’s his job!
The fact that this man still hearts comments on older videos is just incredible
Thx!
Lol
🧡
Cool catch!
I love your channels.I'm very lucky.I saved your videos.Cause i'm very lucky that the owner of youtube didn't dislike it
yes! thx! 💚
I actually saw 8666 in Holland Michigan on q327
Nice catch
like another guy said, this got me into trains like 11 years ago
*Nice That Railroad Is 40 Years Old*
i love csx and bnsf.
Great video
I like train videos on UA-cam 👍
Nice Video of the Autorack Train BaltimoreAndOhioRR VERY COOL MAN
this was awesome I'm checking this spot out for a railfan trip .
Awesome video!!
Nice my friend. Well done.
I really like the reflection in those puddles.
Thanks 👍
Great video, 3 giant loco are working together, 10's of piston and cylinders, by loco-trol lovely system.
Yes they are!
Great action at this crossing
9:16 that sound means the tracks are clear from 8666 894 434 and 8129
Awesome video! Now in the post Hunter Harrison times, they would’ve made the SD50 lead the autorack solo and struggle with it instead of adding the engine from the other train because it “wastes time” and is “inefficient.”
Bessemer & Lake Erie 902 that’s why the sd50’s failed
Still reliable Id given a sd40-2 motor
locomotives 8666 and 434 are the heroes!
I miss seeing autorack trains on my district
Who knew 8666 was a SD50-2?
Perfect horn...echo...
👏👏👏
Oh heck yeah it's freaking awesome!!
Oh heck yeah. It's very on point👌

Increíble me encanto 👍🏻
8666 Is the best train ever and I like the siren.
either or it depends on the engine. if its like 8666 is a lever if its 434 then its a button. my dad used to work for the B&O on the toledo subdivision for years till he retired.
Sadly, the 8666 has been scrapped. The 434 might get rebuilt eventually, and the 8129 is still in operational service. This is quite a video I always like to watch back on.
Thanks for looking again! 👍👋
I hate when they scrap trains😡😡😡😡
@@crystalboutte9880 bruh calm down. Just take a chill pill. You’ve gone way to overboard about locomotives being scrapped. Just accept it like a normal person next time.
@@smackingjack425awesome3no
But what about 894?
I see CSX 8666 go threw Indianapolis today! I thought of this video!
wow. imagine the strength required to throw a whole city!
Great video!
Thanks!
Great video 😊
Thanks! 😊
Love That K5LA 😍
Nice video.
The conductor seemed to be camera shy. But that was a great K5LA horn show.
The first and third engines look cool
Not big fan of CSX, But I'm a fan of your videos! Nice Catch
I am a big fan of csx trains
When you fail to give the locomotives the care and maintenance they need, YHIS IS WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO THE LOCOMOTIVES. THIS IS WHY CSX HAS HUNDREDS OF DIESEL'S STOERD! SOME OF THEM WILL NOT RUN AGAIN. MOST IF CSX DIESEL LOCOMOTIVES HAVE BEEN IN STORAGE LINES FOR DECADES!ALL BECAUSE OF THE LACK OF MAINTENANCE!AFTER WHILE, CSX WON'T HAVE NO LOCOMOTIVES TO PULL NOTHING! THEY MUST OPEN UP THE MAINTENANCE SHOPS AND GET THESE LOCOMOTIVES BACK OUT ON THE ROAD!
You have to keep in mind that these engines are older engines, such as the hundreds of C40-8Ws and the 3 AC6000s in storage, those are retired. Yes, CSX is reactivating some C40-8Ws, including a standard cab dash 8. CSX ain’t running out of locomotives to run. A SD40-2 can’t pull a huge autorack train by itself so it needs a AC44 and a SD50. Keep your research man, half of the storage lines are either deadlines or locomotives waiting to be reactivated.
@@Eastkentuckysirensandtrains this is very true this guy dont know nun

Awesome Video
Thanks for the visit 😄
At least it's still lead by an EMD SD40-2 but it's sad that they put the AC44CW on there D: but hey it has 2 SD40-2s now. But if it was only 8666 that rescued it that would be awesome!
+Rail Gamer Productions The lead unit is an SD50, not a SD40-2. And judging by the slow speed of the train with three units up front, it needed both the SD50 and the AC44. Dead engines are kinda heavy....
Dude, i posted that in october, I was dumb back then! c:
894 should Lead
So great video 👍👍
Thank you 👍
Balti this is my favorite video from You
Thx!
That’s my favorite train numbers csx 8666
also another great video
I found your 'musical engines' vid interesting & was wondering if you were gonna show the autorack train moving, which this vid does; thank you.
But of more interesting note, did you notice all the different names on the rolling stock? I recognized most of them, even surprised by a few (CN & CP to mention just 2), but there were a few I didn't. There were a couple of the same kind that I couldn't read; almost looked like the Santa Fe cross, but it was green & white.
Great vids.
Wow cool dude
I Love Csx

This version is cooler than the others (The CSX 8666 horn ofcourse)
CSX EMD SD50-2 8666 and CSX GE AC4400CW 434 to the rescue!
AMAZING CATCH BRO! THIS IS BRILLIANT! AWESOME SD50 LEADER! 2 BIG THUMBS UP! FANTASTIC VIDEO! BY THE WAY IS THE AUTO RACK EMPTY OR FULL?
👍👍
empty
@@BaltimoreAndOhioRR ok.
That screeching sound sounds like my subway in nyc when it turns
So what was wrong with 8129
its the sequel of the musical train horns video!
yes it is!
I kinda like all railcars and freight trains
I’m surprised a single SD40-2 could lead such a big autorack train! But how did 8129 break down?
that was actually a SD50 leading
@@ejdsndnj yeah I know, I was talking about how a single SD40-2 lead the autorack train and broke down.
@@officialrailfanomar My God man, it didn't! SD50-2 & SD40-2 were leading; 40-2 failed and then they added AC4400CW from the tank train!!!!!
@@hadesdescent6664 Calm down dude
No *dings* when the gate went up? Interesting.
Some crossings dont do that.

*Home,* the nations 1st railroad..... the Old Main Line
Idk why they made 8129 carry that whole auto rack train
Ok answered my own question haha, were they pulling 8129 as dead weight? Sweet horn again lol
