You are spot on about how men's styles don't change as quickly as women's. That is something we can definitely learn from! I loved this video so much. Some of the fabrics in the menswear are just so gorgeous. I guess when you can keep your clothes for years or decades, you can invest in beautiful fabrics and tailoring.
Yes she was spot on, I too love this video. I just recently thrifter a teens suit which fits really well and looks fab. Will definitely be hunting for more.
This is by far the most original and best styling video from you for ages, Alyssa! Splendid colour play with neutrals and brights, so easy on the eye. Bravissima!
This was eye opening Alyssa. Couldn't agree more about how mens fashion doesn't 'judge' as harshly when it comes to cut and silhouette. We could certainly take a leaf from their fashion book! I loved these outfits you were inspired to create, simply stunning! Thank you so much for the inspiration to explore my current wardrobe in so many new ways.
Terrific video, Alyssa! You have never looked more powerful or beautiful or playful- all while delivering great ideas and advice for everyone, including us women over 50. You have the best content on UA-cam. Brava!!
Ever since the Preppy Movement hit me in the early 80's as a preteen, I've always adored the types of looks you'd put together in this video--like Preppie with a hint of new, boho, vibrant colors, and unique accessories. At 57, I am really loving the current trends and availability of updated classics for reasonable prices at high street stores like H&M and Zara.
The reason around your rant is real because and I second it. I am 62 and I am not going to think about limiting my options by what designers are trying to dictate about what in or out. I was lucky to thrift a black pair of loafers and a tan pair both was from the men's rack. I been picking up some interesting socks to wear with them. I never thought about wearing a denim chambray shirt under a blazer what a lost opportunity for a great look now I see. Enjoyed video and thanks for providing some great inspirations. Hope all is well and blessings to you and all in this new year.
If it's God's will, I'll be 60 in August. One of the greatest benefits of "aging gracefully" is kicking the opinions of THEY to the curb and each day taking a healthy dose of not giving a....well, you know!😂😅😊❤
You look great in every outfit! It’s nice to see those black and white flats (and you have the bag as well) that you already had when I found you. Now that’s slow fashion to me!
I so much like your videos! Today I got directly inspired by one of your outfits which I wear today: beige wide leg trousers, fitted black cardigan and a blazer 😊 Thank you!
I really enjoyed this. Particularly the idea of a balanced silhouette. I get tge idea of pairing baggy and tight. But actually don't want to wear either. A video on balanced silhouettes for women would be very welcome.
Thank you for the inspiration. I recently discovered that my husband's gorgeous charcoal wool flannel suit from the 1980's (which has not fit him for decades) fit's me perfectly! I just need to take the pants in a bit at the waist - not a problem, because I let the waist out for him years ago. It's very classic and looks current, whereas my 1980's suits would have needed some serious shoulder pad removal. I think I will start with the jacket and jeans, and add one of my scarves at the neck. Another brilliant video, thank you again.
You're right about outfits that show thought and consideration; I always feel fantastic when I properly style a look. Your tan pants and jacket ensemble with the black top was exquisite.
Wow!!! I loved how u used men’s style and incorporated into feminine/ masculine for women. This is by far my favorite video. I will watch it again and use things in my closet. Thank u😘
This isn’t so much about the video, which I totally agree with you and love your content. However, I just received two of your belts from Brave Leather and wow! They are beautiful and worth every penny! I will continue to add to my belts with Brave. Excellent quality!!!❤
Classic menswear ❤. I love the pops of colour. Since I've started knitting wool socks, I look forward to cooler weather just to show their colours and textures.
Thanks so much for introducing me to Pitti Uomo fashion, Alyssa! Currently glued to Pinterest now studying all the looks 🤤 GREAT OUTFITS, as always! I particularly enjoy it when you bust out the scarf! I have been wearing mine a lot, too. They add such cool touch to any outfit.
I was there! I usually go every season, so I've been many times (for work). Pitti style is very specific and doesn't change much from season to season. It is not really representative of what is being shown in the fair itself. It is always great to be there, love the atmosphere.
Alyssa I loved this video. One of your best. And your references are always so interesting. I had never heard of Pitto Uomo before. I loved seeing all the mens streetwear styles. I loved all the looks you created, but especially the denim shirt under the camel blazer with the white trousers. Absolutely devine!
I love all the mood board looks and what you came up with from your closet. Many of the looks remind me of the artist Mark Maggiori. It just goes to show how having great classic pieces (and a few unique ones) can create infinite variety!
Great video as usual. We are experiencing a four day snow event in Nova Scotia, so enjoying a coffee and watching this has made my day. I love the colour of your sweater! It makes you glow❣️
I am so impressed! Your style is generally very feminine, so I was wondering how this would play out. I love the images your shared from Pitti Uomo. Colour me inspired.
This came at just the right time! Been feeling a bit lost as I'm 62 now and have put on some weight. Still difficult to see styles on slimmer people and imagine how it will look on me. I've almost felt I've lost what my style is ☹️ This reminded me that a shaped denim jacket was a staple in my wardrobe, worn with everything. Have always worn loafers and shirts with the top button done up.....must be a security thing 😆 Thank you for reminding me of how I love to dress ❤
This was soooo informative. I’m about to travel to Europe from Florida where I live. I got inspiration on what to pack so as to dress in layers. I will watch this video again! Thank you!
I love these looks, definitely a hit. I love the brown/tanned combos, as you said these all look intentional and styled but also luxurious. I am looking to bring some tan colour back into my closet
Loved ALL the looks. Really leaning towards the menswear right now because of you. My outerwear game needs a little work. Looking forward to some thrifting for a peacoat and good long coat.

I loved this video so much I'm going to watch it again. Beautiful menswear looks and your interpretation of the menswear! I loved me some Annie Hall-inspired dressing back in the day. Can't wait to revive a few looks!
I am very happy about your comment about wanting to appear effortless with our style. I personnally always hated this concept. I don’t understand why I would spend all this time and EFFORT to be stylish and it should look I haven’t put any effort into it !? I want to look like I have put effort into it ! Appear to not have seems very dishonest to me … 😅
This was, start to finish, a cool idea. The light chambray denim shirt with the brown blazer and cream pants was my personal fave. Overall, though, I would never have thought to do this and it's such a clever way to reimagine.
I like how you have several colour sets: a cashmere soft beige coat, jacket, boots and suit; a cordoba? (reddish-brown) leather loafers, watch band, belt and probably purse: black set of sweaters, boots, shoes, etc. and white shirt, pants, shoes, etc. Baby blue and soft pink also seem to be colours you gravitate to. Are most of your metals gold? So several key plain colour sets which mix and match delightfully. I think these colour sets gives your wardrobe that easy elegance we are all looking for. I love the outfits you create!
Ooh, I love this. I am often inspired by menswear and masculine styles. I love the tailoring, layering and mixing up of styles and textures - this is right up my street!
I have been shopping the men’s department for 2 years now. I love wearing a men’s jacket or t-shirt and mixing that masculine element with feminine or men’s over sized with slimmer fit.
Wow, Alyssa. Every look , a winner. What a coincidence that only last night, I was looking at some such looks in menswear on Pinterest! I've always liked menswear as an inspiration for women's wear in my closet. The hoodies under a tailored blazer is one of my favorite looks. I also own a few men's silk scarves with the paysley prints and so on. Last year I thrifted a man's pair of navy pin stripped trousers and a man's d.b. blazer in a pin stripe navy. Together, they almost look like they were meant to go together. ❤️ love it.
Thx to you and Audrey, I started down the road to thrifting around 5 years ago. Some of my greatest finds have been men's shirts and blazers. Chef's 💋. Love your channel ❤😊
I still love skinny jeans - especially high rise and cropped above the ankle. :) Just waiting for this Ottawa winter to pass to wear them with strappy flat sandals :) But I do love winter fashion also.
Awesome video, loved the inspiration!!! Some of the best pieces I’ve thrifted are from the men’s racks. Just got the most gorgeous 🤩 blueish green vintage cashmere v neck sweater. Men’s clothing typically uses better quality fabrics and better fabrication.
Loved that! My favourite was the black jeans, wide Brave belt, denim jacket. I also loved seeing all those menswear looks…..except for the kerchief/ball cap😂
Great, great, great video, Alyssa! A couple thoughts before I go have a conversation with my closet... I think the loose top and loose bottom formula, rather than the either/or formula, enhanses a more solid male body better than a cuvier female body. But... Sometimes we just want to change it up. And, the good thing is... Designers/Brands can't choose to change trends frequently, if we, the consumer, won't go along with it. Have a great week, Everyone!

I'm so glad you liked it Leah!

@@kimjohnson8471 yes I do! lol
@@JosephineJames-x7b BAM! Enough said!
Yes! My "dressier" shoes are all men's wear! Also I get my colorful socks from the men's section !
You look great in every outfit! It’s nice to see those black and white flats (and you have the bag as well) that you already had when I found you. Now that’s slow fashion to me!
I agree😊

Well done Alyssa and keep going
Excellent as always. I’m doing a no buy February. The encouragement to create instead of shopping is very timely!!
I really enjoyed this. Particularly the idea of a balanced silhouette. I get tge idea of pairing baggy and tight. But actually don't want to wear either. A video on balanced silhouettes for women would be very welcome.
The cream pants, jean shirt, neutral blazer outfit is phenomenal

There were so many fun Ideas and concepts, I loved the denim shirt under the blazer!!!! Off for a walk with my dogs to mull of some fashion ideas :)
I love the look Levi’s shirt + Classic blazer! Amazing! Love your videos!
Great looks, Alyssa and I especially adore those cream trousers, they are so versatile and looked great with everything you put with them.

All of the outfits were so good on you! Men’s wear really looks good on you. With feminine touches, really balancing the looks. Thanks!

Finalmente sono tornati i tuoi bellissimi foulards!❤
I absolutely loved this video, Alyssa. Menswear inspired looks are some of my favorites. Every outfit felt like something I would wear. 🤩
Great video with inspiring insights. Got to say my favourite outfits were the ones where you added your styling words ‘undone’ & ‘sexy’ ❤

I LOVE these photos! They are so inspiring.

Some really great looks. Thank you.
Loved them all👍
Great looks! Every item looked new again 👍🏻.
I love these! They are gorgeous outfits and you are so creative 😍 I need the weather to cool down in QLD Australia 🙏😁

The last one was my favorite. Great work
Just added two things to my wish list. Wide legs trousers and a men’s wear inspired blazer. Loved the looks!
Thank you for sharing ❤ I love every single outfit 😊 I got some styling ideas that I will put in practice!
Absolutely loved them all!! So my style.
This was so inspiring and informative!! Now I'm obsessed with Pitti Uomo streetstyle! Thank you:)
Love this!!❤
Love the men's outfits on the men, and love the outfits the men's outfits that you created from your closet! 🎉❤
Super cute looks!!!
I love adding some masculine vibe to my looks, I feel more comfortable and sexier. Great video, really inspiring
I still love skinny jeans - especially high rise and cropped above the ankle. :) Just waiting for this Ottawa winter to pass to wear them with strappy flat sandals :) But I do love winter fashion also.
Love the color on you so much!
Love these looks. You always have fabulous belts which are getting so difficult to find. Would love some suggestions. Thanks
Peeeerfect timing, I’m getting ready to go to Italy in March!

Love your videos! So helpful.
Loved these layered looks!
Good to see you smiling following some personal upheaval.
It's a hit 🎉
I mean, let's face it. Looking good takes effort. If by "effortless," you mean unfussy, I'm with you. Otherwise, make an effort. Xoxo 💕
You are a pro at layering ❤😊
Such a great video!!
Every outfit a win!
It's an excellent video and the advice is good to take.
Qualité et service au top. Je recommande
