My 600-lb Life is an American reality television series that has aired on the TLC television network since 2012. Each episode follows a year in the life of morbidly obese individuals, who usually begin the episode weighing at least 600 pounds (270 kg), and documents their attempts to reduce their weight to a healthy level. Update episodes, called "Where Are They Now?", feature one or more previous patients, picking up a year or more after their original episodes aired.
Patients are placed under the care of Iranian-American Houston surgeon Younan Nowzaradan (often referred to as simply "Dr. Now"), who first has them attempt losing weight on their own by following a strict diet, and then depending on the patient's progress may offer gastric bypass surgery or sleeve gastrectomy to further assist in weight loss.
Sometimes I feel like when they say this is their last chance I get the feeling they actually believe that they’ll have the surgery and wake up thin and can eat as much as they want.
I agree with you. The surgery is not the magical solution
AGREED, the enablers are the problem because they can’t say NO. These jumbos need brain surgery not a magic surgery for weight loss.
I do too.. your mind needs to be there. I know so many people that have had a terrible time with the surgery
Absolutely!!!
Exactly!!
There's one common factor: they're incapable of providing for or obtaining their own food. This means people around them are supplying them with inordinate amounts of it and without those people, they would lose weight rapidly.
I wonder how they can afford groceries! To maintain that weight, your intake would be 30,000 calories per day! Food stamps maybe??
It‘s co-addiction.
@@Patricia-kh3bg Programs like food stamps is really common. They can qualify for "disability" because they can't take care of themselves and the family members can be paid by the state for taking care of them.
@@deniellechapman6911 I wonder just how much they get monthly. I’m sure the amount is limited and not enough to maintain their current weight. Maybe using disability checks as income for food, especially if the person lives with a relative and doesn’t have to pay rent.
I've often wondered why no one's gone the route of just making the appropriate food for the person needing to lose weight, telling them that's all they're getting, and if they want what's not on the approved foods list they'll just have to get up and get it themselves. Even if they try to sneak with ordering delivery, I think with most places you can explain the situation to have them not accept orders from that number/address.
The recurring theme from these patients seems to be "If Dr can't "help" me, I don't know what I'm going to do." It almost sounds like they're relinquishing the responsibility onto the doctor, and looking for someone to step in with a magic wand. Doesn't work like that.
So true. Many do see their obesity as an unfortunate set of circumstances beyond their control, and nothing to do with their behavior or choices.
And no surprise….it is pretty uncomfortable to face that your biggest problem is under your control, but you won’t do the work to change.
What's the big surprise? They always blame it on someone else. I don't get it. I like coffee, but I don't drink a gallon of it a day
@@erossinema8797 Agreed 100%.
Exactly!
@@BradleyonYT Very well put. We are just human after all. Some of us are dealt some pretty crappy hands in life, and sometimes it takes hitting rock bottom to start doing something about it. You seem to have a fairly logical perspective, and realize this is and always will be an ongoing process. Not one of us is ever "In the clear". It takes determination and diligence. It takes will. All too often these days, people are told "It's not your fault. You're a victim." This ideology doesn't help anyone move forward.
You can tell that the husband was trying to keep her on the diet and she was like "we fought a lot and it stressed me out"
Its cuz he wants this for you more than you do.
I am a recovered addict and that's an old trick! I would start an argument (on purpose) then storm out and use and say it was cuz we were fighting 😂
Imagine him in bed with that blob and she starts farting! Immagine how the house must sting when she has a bowel movement! So who could blame him.
That's exactly what I thought
@@mikeborgmannim also a recovering addict and I know this trick well!
I think before they are approved for surgery, they should have to go to a therapist for at least 6 months.
I completely agree. I don't know how they do it in the states but I just had weight loss surgery in Canada and I had a year of nurse visits, social worker visits, psych evaluations, dietitian appointments before I got approved for surgery.
THIS! Yes!
Was it successful for you in the long run? I wish you well!
They do offer them therapy
I've seen plenty of bariatric surgery people not really change their habits and regain weight....they just figure out how to eat rich food slowly or in small amounts. It's really hard to unlearn overfeeding habits when they are driven by issues, addiction, broken pancreas, dopamine rush, etc.
It trips me out how ALL of the participants gorge on food on the way to the doctor's office!
I try to wait to eat until after my appointment-that way 1) if I’m being weighed, it’ll be a little lower than if I recently ate. And 2) in case I need to do fasting labs, I’ll already be fasting so can just get the labs done in the same visit. My appointment a few weeks ago was around 3pm and I did fasting labs after. The receptionist in the lab area was surprised and was like “we gotta you get in so you can eat a sandwich after.” I try to do IF most days and have done occasional 24 hr (or slightly longer) fasts so I can usually get past the hunger feeling. That said, I’m not strict with IF and will sometimes eat sooner if I’m feeling extra hungry.
The show likes to film them eating but not doing anything else
@@tergenden1903 They don't do anything else. And the few who do anything else are filmed doing it. ( One participant got a job and was filmed several time on the job. )
I'd say it's a last hurrah but it's probably typical eating for them or even eating less.
A sandwich. That's the recommendation from a "health care expert?" Holy Hannah no wonder people struggle when the folks who are "trying to help them" send such mixed messages.
This Show 600lb Life Inspired Me To Keep Me On Track And Live A Better Life 💪💪💪💪
I am trying not to eat right now
I wished everyone thought this way.
Same. It’s honestly eye opening. A reminder that anyone can let things go so far that they won’t recognize themselves.
yeah whenever i want a snack. i watch a few of these videos
Same!
The enablers should be taken to task. It must cost a small fortune to feed these people.
They are probably all on food stamps.
I can't imagine weighing a half of a Ton. I was close to 100 pounds overweight at one point but I decided I wanted to live and lost 85 pounds so far and it's greatly improved my heart, blood pressure and diabetes. I must have a liver transplant due to a genetic liver disease but now that I dropped weight and kept it off I am able to have one and survive the transplant. It's very hard to do but it's worth it.
For myself,
I found I was willing to be uncomfortable and to do without comfort eating in order to lose weight when I expected it to be a somewhat uncomfortable experience and embraced that process.
One step at a time.
That’s absolutely AWESOME! How did it all work out for you Jenn?
@@DebbieRenee-te2jd I'm down 86lbs only 30 more to go- I'm walking my dogs 2 miles every morning!
Everything is easier now! 😀
I am SO PROUD of you!! “86” is a HUGE VICTORY Jenn!! Great job 👏🏻
It's hard to be uncomfortable. Only way out is through.
@@JennWatson SO PROUD of you!!
So, stay at home all day, don’t drive to and from a work place, don’t have to deal with a job or a boss, everyone else in your house does the housework and continually feed you…but you’re stressed?
I'd abandon someone who treated me so shabbily
Preach, some of these people take Noah accountability for what they’ve caused
That black guy saying he just don't know what to do while feeding his face - how about not stuffing your face with sweet rolls, for a start
@@Thundralighthe can barely speak sounds like. Like is common sense bro.. he's a literal child
These ppl disgust me. There are people literally starving amongst us.
What stuns me is their ability to stand up and walk!!
Yeah, 'cause they need to get up and get the food if their partener don't want to give them food 😂
Me too!
They have to walk from the weighing room to the other room for a consultation. They do it.
The really sad cases are the ones who are a prisoner to their beds.
They definitely have an enabler in the home.
In these homes most family members are also morbidly obese. 😢
It's a huge turnoff to see these people stuff greasy or sugary in their mouths, hardly even chewing, just stuffing in more.
She needs a pizza to get her to houston? You are riding passenger in a car......your not on a bicycle 😂
Agreeing with you 100% and honestly, I don't think anyone really *needs* a pizza.
Who pays for her maintenance? Fast food in my country is an expensive one-off treat.
That's what I always wonder. Where they get so much money for takeout when they're not even working? Disability payout and food stamps?
This is America. We’d spend our last dollar if it meant we could have a triple patty with triple cheese burger, XL fries and a XL Diet Coke. Has to be Diet Coke though cause you gotta watch out for your sugar intake.
In some places it is cheaper to eat fast food than good, fresh food. There’s actually a term for this”food deserts”.
Don't you dare put down America like you did! She is not representative or typical of Americans@@AltClev37
Who pays for the surgery, twice?
So selfish. I know about addiction, I’m an alcoholic. But nobody I know will hand me a drink. I don’t know why any person would feed her food
Pray to our Lord Jesus for help..
Look around you. Huge chance your "friends"offer you drinks or laugh when you would drink water or tea.
Nasty.@@corneilcorneil The point though, is that the people who stuff them with food are supposed to be family, not just idiots at the bar.
@@ruthgiles8926 And what is your point? Why mention a bar?
I agree. Enabling is not friendship.
why do they never gorge on fruit? They're always SO HUNGRY, but never eat salads, fruits, vegetables.
Can't compare to m&ms cheesecake and doritoes taste-wise! 😂
😂😂😂
Right healthy food can be delicious if prepared correctly and fruit literally tastes better than any sugars imo they just don't want to
They are addicted to the pleasure of food, and that it puts them in a state of non-awareness which we all know. Ever been so absorbed by a great movie, or novel, or game , or hobby that you aren’t thinking about yourself or your problems….and when it’s done ..your problems and to do list all come crashing back in! That is what they are addicted to, and fate, salt and sugar achieve that much more than a perfectly ripe pear.
And they likely call food cravings “hunger” ….but they are t the same as real hunger.
Always the garbage .. The take outs .. I don't know how their mates can stand them !
My highest weight was 280, and i had a gastric bypass. Ive been hovering around 140, for 5 years now.
This show makes me want to cook a healthy meal.
Make me never wanna eat
@@richardlawson6787 understandable. It definitely puts me off junk food.
It makes me wanna binge on junk food 😂
These people make me realize I am so blessed with other addictions.
I am a size 0, I am 47, BUT I smoke. Instead of eating I prefer to feel hungry. But society points at me as "the big health problem".
I havent seen a doctor for years.
So WHAT'S THE problem here.
The propaganda when it comes to smokers I would say. Being overweight is the new normal when it comes to tv.
Scary.
This show makes me crave salad😂
"it's never fun to see a big number on the scale"
What number did you think you were going to see on the scale lol
"The idea of her being hungry just eats me up" punny lmao
I lost it when I heard that 😂
It is hard to swallow too
Oh no, her big baby might experience mild discomfort in the form of hunger.
Read a book or something if you're hungry.
came here to see this quote. lol
Paul is the kind of guy who’s going to be super clingy and super paranoid of losing HER if she loses weight.
LOL! Exactly what I thought!
Ugh
She’s only 24.Good god!
24 yrs old!!!??? You can't be serious!!
She eats while she sleeps 😑
*God
@@pamelamorrisonnPersonal choise...don't force people to believe. Oh god!
Very very sad😮
Why is being hungry for a few hours considered torturous?
How do they ever actually feel truly hungry?
I don't understand this one myself. I'm an overweight woman (obese actually at about 240 pounds and 5'8") and I try "off and on." I'm more successful when I plan meals ahead and measure and weigh all my food and ingredients; I cook almost exclusively at home.
But I am always hungry. Always! It doesn't make any sense and it is beyond frustrating, believe me. But it's a very real phenomenon for some people. I just have to resolve to ignore it, and eat my three meals "by the clock." Not supper time yet? Can't eat anything then. It's tougher than it looks but you can't just throw in the towel!
They aren‘t just hungry, they experience the stress of withdrawel. They probably haven‘t really been hungry for years.
@@LauraMacMillan-el2kc Takes me so much food to be full it's disgusting. Have to eat until I'm stuffed or I fell like I'm starving again in the next hour or two...
I'm trying to lose weight right now and I'm always hungry, I eat a meal and feel full for an hour and want to eat again (if it goes good), I'm not sure how those African tribes eat only once in some days and feel great!
Id like to know how these people who obviously dont work afford all that food they consume and why their caretakers would give them unhealthy tons of food no matter how much they scream or cry.
As a caregiver, (not of an obese person) but a caregiver for someone who can’t physically care for themself. You can’t actually keep someone from eating what they want it can be considered abuse or neglect. It’s against the law. I think it’s disgusting that if your obese you can go on disability and live off tax payers dollars.
No one pays for my groceries!! I'm no longer obese.
I have some sympathy. Living with someone who screams and cries AT you is exhausting.
@@ClownWorldRebel It isn’t considered abuse or neglect if you stick to Dr. Nows’ diet. It is sufficient to keep a person well fed and healthier. I am also a full time carer but of an invalid, not an overweight person. It’s absolutely different.
I wholeheartedly agree. It definitely isn’t more expensive to eat fresh food rather than take away. The truth is that they, or their carers, can’t be bothered. It’s so easy to call up and have unsuitable foods delivered.
"Food makes everything better" except your health 🤣
Sadly, most drug user or alcoholics can hide their addiction. Fat people can't hide. But, people with a drinking and drug problem, get looked down on too. Yes, these behaviors should all be grouped together. The need/desire/harm is the same! 🖐️💪
Been reading*
It’s not comparable to drugs and alcohol which change the composition of your brain which is why you go through withdrawal. Eating is as simple as just putting down the donuts, the rest is just excuses.
@@danielh5583 Addiction is addiction. The same chemical changes occur in any addiction. Many of these folks have mental health issues that they soothe with food.
how'd you manage to cut out the ONE thing everyone wanted to see, the NUMBER?? 4:40
Exactly
Might have been a privacy issue with that client. Safe to say, it was many hundreds of pounds.
Wait, did she say she’d already had weight loss surgery????
And who is paying the bill? We are. Remember, she’s on a limited income. Translation, government subsidized.
@@Juezma52SNAP benefits are mostly spent on junk food.
Infuriating.
I wish I could get the government to pay for my medical care, but unfortunately, I work for a living. 😂
I thought she said so.
I watch my 600 pound life when im workijg out... it really helps
600lbs 42st 12lb
⅓ US ton
>¼ Imperial ton
>272 kg >¼ tonne
Right?
Same 😂😂
It literally stopped me from eating anything bad today.
All the time!
My 82 year old mom is on 2 medications. 1 for cholesterol and 1 for thyroid. She was on a high blood pressure and metforman but she was taken off that last summer. So 9 medications when you’re 24 is crazy. I’m 57 and I’m one high blood pressure pill and started that in 2018.
It is pathetic!! I’m 50, I take 3 medications one for anxiety from PTDS, one for blood pressure and one for chronic eczema. I’m actually a little overweight myself. Not unhealthy but I can afford to lose 20 lbs.
You left out tiffany's weigh in completely.
ditto this
672 lbs
How do these people not have Type 2 Diabetes? For the life of me I cannot understand. I believe in all of the seasons, I've only seen 1 person who has it.
Obviously, you don't need to be 600 lbs or even morbidly obese to have it but you would surely think they would.
I'm pretty sure the scale read , *"GET OFF ME !!"*
@@SisuGirlgreat point, i know lots of people who are in the 200s and have type 2 diabetes. Why are the even bigger people not getting it!?
Her husband was supportive and frustrated at the same time...
Some of the voices of these people can really piss me off.
"According to my weight chart, I should be seven foot nine."
"Oh, THIS platter looks like it's enough for us!"
"No, no, no, it says 'served FROM eight to eleven'!"
"Oh...well...that's no good."
'The Nanny' was WAY ahead of this show...
what make is that car, the suspension is either fucked or amazing.
They install coil springs from a locomotive!
The passenger side tires must not last too long.
It's the addiction to food that is the problem. It's hard for them to find things to do (other than eat) because they are in the same surroundings with people who enable the addiction.
They aren't able to do anything else
It is an addiction! In my case I did have bariatric surgery and it was very successful to the tune of 190 lbs lost. However in later years I have found that I am deficient in a hormone between my stomach and my brain telling me that I am not hungry. now that we have figured that out I'm doing much much better
Their behavior is the problem. Having a predisposition to addictions is next on the list of excuses to not change their behavior.
It’s WHAT is underneath/cause that fuels the overeating. You can lose weight. But until one figures out (with therapy) what happened to cause this - no permanent weight loss will ever result/stay off. Ever.
How about a couple of heads of lettuce, a few bunches of carrots and a bushel of apples and oranges followed by a few cucumbers? Some water before the feast will help fill the emptiness.
When the dr puts them on a diet, no fruit is allowed. Protein and veggies.
That is why they'll be ravenously hungry all the time. Fruits and vegetables are as good as eating cardboard.
Protein and healthy fats ONLY. Thousands of people have lost their weight forever and kept it off that way.
Prefer Doritos and cheesecake! 😂
Or watermelon. 3-4 watermelon a day they will definitely not be this big 😢
DAMN! My highest weight was 250 pounds, and that was a result of having 3 babies in 2 years, absolutely no help from family, plus taking a medication that caused severe weight gain. A couple of years later, I got tired of being fat, and lost 120 pounds...without any surgeries or medical interventions...just eating healthy and walking everywhere. It's definitely possible, but you wouldn't know that based on how these people talk, and how they act when put on a diet! 😂
Except your highest weight is a weight they dream of getting to.
Nice work!
Believe it or not, some folks don't understand anything at all about eating healthy. They don't even understand the term.
Congratulations! It’s hard work but so worth it.
Well, it's a TV show.
Dr Now wants to print out a list of excuses and hang it on the consulting room wall.
Every time they try it on he should point to the relevant excuse and pull them up short.
He’s heard it all before……frequently.
How does one afford to eat that much, specially not working?
Government cheese
Disability and probably food stamps.
Sponging off family members.
About $300 of our tax dollars go to food stamps, cash assistance, subsidized housing and Medicaid is calculated a bit differently. Around $5000 of our tax dollars subsidizes corporations who still price gouge us when they want (inflation). Economist and former Labor Secretary Dr. Robert Reich (under Clinton and Bush II) talks about taxation myths quite a bit. Cheaper high caloric foods can be purchased in bulk, any kind of benefit comes in only once a month, and to qualify you must have a work history or someone must be working. "Reality TV" is never real in the sense of how it's filmed, everything is truncated.
@@christinebuchler2801EBT
*HOW THE HELL* do these people not understand that the more sugar you eat...the hungrier you will continue to be !! Its a neverending spiral to FAT-VILLE and they'll be MUCH more tired all day. No energy 😴 !!
It’s not that easy especally as sugar is like a drug and many people are ignorant of nutrition. Not only this but go on a KETO diet for a week I did and I witnessed how almost impossible it is to eat out and how 95% of stuff in the supermarket has some form of carb.
Now I eat fruit everyday for breakfast and I’m always full from one apple 150g red grapes and one tangerine it keeps me going from 9am-3-5pm so not all carbs are bad and it’s only a total of 250-300 calories total.
@@makeytgreatagain6256hi. Thanks for reminding me lol really.

Don’t forget sodium 🧂
Because they are not smart. You'd be surprised at how many people don't realize what you stated. At work I am surrounded by that junk which I avoid like the plague. It's poison, but for some reason many people don't see it that way.

Mr, walk away from a narcissist She is a taker not a giver. My 5’6’ frame would be massive at 600 lbs (I’m 145 lbs). . I see the problems. No goals, no motivation, no hobbies. We choose what experiences we will have. Food addiction is just one thing we can experience. She’s knows different and better. Learn to make yourself proud
She does have a hobby. Stuffing food into her mouth.
You're right.....she DOES know better. They ALL "say" I'm doing the BEST I can do, and trying MY HARDEST".......but they KNOW......they're NOT. Because two minutes later, will say, "Yea, I slipped up a little, but I shouldn't have to pay for a couple little slip ups".
THEY ALL do this. You could take one persons dialogue, and plug it in to every single one of these episodes.......because they ALL say the exact SAME things. It's amazing. .....and it does show the amount of addiction there is......and that these people are addicts.
People think that "drug addicts" are the "bad people", but "food addicts" are exactly the same thing as drug addicts......the addiction substance is just a different set of molecules and chemicals. Food IS their DRUG...and both result in the same end.
My husbands brother and sister both died young from drug and alcohol addiction. That is a terrible thing. And these folks say all the same things that drug addicts say, because the real issue isn't the drugs or food, it's inside each person.
They refuse to tell themselves NO, to the wrong things, and YES, to the better/healthier things, which IS a hard thing, but also rewarding when they finally learn to do that.
And somehow the fat acceptance movement would try to convince everyone these people are healthy and beautiful. Watching stuff like this keeps me committed to my weight loss journey
Moderation and balance is healthy in all things 😊 all else is delusion
Totally agree I think the Fat acceptance gang are totally toxic
Good for you! I wish you well.
Hard to feel sorry for people who do this to themselves.

Not true , it’s like a drug.
@KD - the mind is a powerful thing
There are more factors that the overweight deal with than food.
Exactly, it is their own eating, and how you will have a goal.
It's amazing that these huge women have boyfriends or husbands. If they were that big before the relationship started, I wonder what is going through the minds of these men.
I always wonder that too. These guys are usually normal size and even decent-looking guys. Do they have a fat fetish or are they wanting to be needed or get with a woman they'll never lose...? I always wonder too what's going on in their heads, and how they can seriously be attracted to that.
They are called " chubby chasers"...it is a sick fetish😂
Some guys have low self esteem, some enjoy being needed, and some freaky mf'ers are into it.
That's what I was wondering. What is the attraction? So problematic. All those health issues and so difficult to be with these types of women due to their immobility.
I wonder the same..

He's not an addict... alcohol to get through the day is like.. eating all day.
Eating crap on the way to see Dr Now is laughable. They don’t deserve help
And that is the case with most, if not all, of these people.
Most do it
Eating crap for 6 people*. A crappy, calorie-controled diet would still work. ( That's how my mother lost weight after years of trying and failing to stick to ''virtuous healthy foods''. )
Watching interviews with these people after the show it seems the show encourages them to eat as much as they can as often as they can while being filmed, they agree to not appear disagreeable since all they are getting is free. “Reality television”
After watching so many of these, I feel like food is a person. Lol
Poor Food, getting abused so hard by fat people.
Carbohydrates are energy. Fruits and vegetables are carbohydrates. All the extra fat on your body is stored energy = stored carbohydrates. Eat as much protein as you can, no carbs. Let your body consume the energy it already has.

Hi. Unfortunately yes. And you'd think they'd chew extra to appreciate it. So sad.
7:33
They don't eat they inhale! I feel sick watching them some have 2or 3 plates full of food can't be sympathetic they don't look like they are enjoying the food they choose!
"I'm not ready to dieee-t. ".
Do Americans not say please or thank you at drive thrus? All I hear is "I want" or "I'm going to need" then a long list of binge food....or is this just a My 600lb Life contestant thing??
We tend to be rude and entitled. Not all but most
I say Thank You. Especially at Chick-fil-a, you kinda can’t help it there.
I’m ALWAYS courteous to ppl handling my food in any capacity!
I'm pretty sure it's the editing. Most Americans will say 'please' and 'thank you' when they're going through drive throughs.
Gluttonous people are in a big hurry to stuff their faces.
It's terrible when the thing you think is helping you is the very thing that's harming you. Addiction is a curse.
Have you noticed that the enablers are also very overweight. They obviously overeat themselves and complain that if they don’t provide what the patients want they lose their temper. ….walk away
Take all the crap food out of the house and just have healthy food in the fridge .. salad .. chicken .. yogurts.. fish.. low fat spreads .. change the way you cook .. we ate normal stuff just less of it I.... did this for my husband who lost 6 stone ( 84 pounds ) in in under 12 months for hip replacement surgery and has kept the weight off for the last 6 years .
ditch the fish it belongs in the ocean 😀
I tell you what - those American drive through fast food outlets are a disaster. People just drive up, order, drive a couple of metres, pick up the food and off they go getting fatter and fatter without having to even get out of the car.
It's definitely gotten kind of out of control. Just like how food became much more processed and carb-heavy in the 80s with the US govts initiative to try to get the most calories in per dollar (to reduce hunger, although it ended up meaning corn syrup in everything and an upside down food pyramid), drive thrus have now become literally everywhere. All types of restaurants/foods now seem to have drive thrus. Just another landmine to navigate/avoid while trying to eat well/healthy in the USA.
You chose what you eat, that’s like blaming rap or rocknroll.
I can appreciate their health problems. I pray that they find relief. The US Army turned me off to breakfast in the early 1970's. The food that was prepared was not fit for human consumption. A C-ration was a luxury meal. I did a two month stint supporting the USAF and I felt like I was a guest at the Ritz. So now at 72 years old I have a coffee in the morning, fruit and cheese for lunch and have a well balanced evening meal that I prepare for me and my wife. I'm sitting solid at 5'-8" and 160 lbs. It just the way my life experience made things turn out.
OK for the umpteenth time, no one can get that heavy without at least one enabler! So if she also needs pizza while going to the doctor, there's going to be a big problem following his orders.
These women look like walking Kenmores.
So do the men. Male bodies already look disgusting whether fat or not
Hey I’m only 5’9” 175 pounds but I even call a breakfast biscuit a snack lol
Paul should leave her ASAP
I am normally 145. I am 5’8 and exercise. Since I got sick I can’t exercise so I watch what I eat. Now I am pregnant I am 170 pounds. I think I have a problem. When I see you these people. I feel better.
You shouldn't feel better but look at your own body. Its not pretty I guess.... you ARE a problem, are you going to feed your baby like that too?
More than butterflies in his stomach😅😅😅 I felt that
I think a lot of these people fail at weigh ins because 2 months is too long, they should be weighed every week so less likely to cheat on their diets.
The last guy made me cry laughing. He says he eats snacks in the car. Then he weighs in at 740 HAHA
Sorry but they are eating themselves into a early grave
If they stopped eating so much they can afford the 1000 lb scale
I'm 63, Caucasian, female, 5'4" tall and currently weigh 144 lbs.....and I can barely move...anything 138 and above, (for ME), and I feel like a beached whale. 127 to 137 is a good weight range for me. Two years ago, I food-crammed, food-jammed and food-slammed myself up to 171 lbs, not too far off from my two pregnancy weights of 183 and 196...Lord, talk about waddlin'.... How can these people even be alive, or go to the bathroom, or breathe, or shower or whatever....?!?!?!?
I don’t understand what your race has to do with this. I understand what you mean about the extra pounds, though.
I just don’t have the patience their partners and family have,i’d leave.
Dude called Takis pretzel sticks. I dont know why that got to me.
Who did Holly’s previous weight loss surgery?
DO any of these folks have space for Butterflys? hahaha
Many of us also had trauma and sexual abuse but become anorexic. Different side of the same coin. This happened to actress Sandra Dee.
Dr Now had been on TV for many years and these people know about him so why on earth do they stuff their faces like hogs with no control when they know they can get his book and follow it or just watch the show (like I'm sure they do) ? How do people who don't have jobs afford to eat like that anyway? I'm sure us hard working tax payers are paying for it and their upkeep. Some people WANT to be like this because they are lazy, if they lose weight they may have to get off welfare and get a job. They wouldn't want that, they rather have people feel sorry for them.
Don't forget if a person cannot solve their personal problems it's difficult to give up comfort eating.
But believing life improves with a healthy diet must be empowering.
We find life challenging so be kind to understand it is best to encourage
overeaters to reform with rewards of juicy fruits and a nice bite of protein. Feeling steps towards self improvement strengthens us all.
they are addicts
Finally! A humane, appropriate, and effective response. Thank you.
How do they afford all this food
They spend all their disability income on food then go after their family members for the rest.
Other people pay for it.
The most fattening food is the cheapest food. Plus she is making decisions to destroy any chance at success - at this point she’s doomed.
I know I’m going to NEED it 🤦🏼♀️
I think what will help is if the helpers say to them - now listen here! If you don't follow this diet and lose this weight then I'm out of here and you can go buy your food and cook it yourself I'm done. That would be a wakeup call for them not having anyone to do things like washing them and help them after a poo which I'm sure will be enormous portions. Or the helper should say I'm leaving for a few hours but I have to measure you first and when they ask why then say to see if they have a casket your size because the way you are doing you will need one soon. I honestly think the helpers are acting like slaves and I think it may help giving them the shock treatment. Why should anyone throw away their life for someone who most likely would not have done that for anyone else if they could and what decent person doesn't want to change so they don't have to be their servants anymore. I may sound evil but I think a lot of these people are lazy and selfish and like having people do things for them. I think of the homeless these portions could feed!
Nine times out of ten it is the "helpers" who buy and prepare the food. The fat person is unable to do the shopping, so the person who is making it possible for them to eat this way is the "helper," i.e. enabler. If they would stand their ground and refuse to buy these mountains of junk, the fat person would have no choice but to eat the healthy food they are offered, or no food at all (and at their weight, they could live off of their own body fat for months, only requirement is water). But usually the enablers have their own reasons for refusing to take a stand (and it's not because the fat person will get mad at them and yell at them-it's because they are getting SOMETHING out of the situation they they don't want to give up).
the carers get paid by the government cuz that's their job for most of them. taking care of the morbidly obese person. a family member can be paid.
You know what the best weight loss diet is? Being poor. When you have to limit your groceries and limit what you intake the weight goes down. Where are these people getting all that cash for all that food?
From the taxpayers. Cut off their food stamps and they would have to lose weight
They're probably getting disability or food stamps. Unless it's a serious medical condition I don't think any overweight people should get government assistance for that as a disability. Cut off the money and see how fast they are able to lose enough weight to get a job so they can keep buying their pizzas and Twinkies!
I think most of them get support from their families. The Food stamps can’t possibly last even a week
When I see these videos on immensely overweight people I always wonder where they get the money to buy so much food - especially fast food and takeaways. They are unable to work, some need carers and medication. Yet miraculously they manage to be supplied with food ? It's like supplying a drug addict or alcoholic with what they demand. Would that happen ?
SSDI.
@@catherineg9943That wouldn’t cover a week of what these people consume.
Responsible people who pay taxes of course. They’re fat, they deserve free money 🤮
Government takes money ( at gunpoint if needed ) from other people to fund their gluttonous lifestyle.
they are supported by the government and considered fully disabled. they get carers and some get housing. they get food stamps.
I thought her fiancée was her father!
Gluttony is one of the Seven Deadly Sins
I have lost all compassion for these people. They all say the same thing and they all lack any personal responsibility for their condition.
Hunger is not dangerous. It's normal to feel hungry. The more you get used to feeling hunger, the less it will bother you.
This is NORMAL. So get used to it.
So many of these people will say they hope they’ll be taken on as a patient on their way to their first appointment but they fail to recognize that they have already been accepted or they wouldn’t be on the show telling their story. But if they want to remain on the program all they need to do is follow the guide given to them and loose the weight. Anyway…I do hope for the best in each case.,
Not me having body dismorphia and then realizing when I watch these. Thanks mom
What I am nervous about, is seeing obese drivers on the road, it should be a LAW that they can't drive...they can't hold a steering wheel correctly, their size inhibits them from seeing around them correctly, and just many more reasons. They are dangerous on the road.
im 52 years old in 2022 i was 160 kg with height 170 cm doctors said to me u should bypass only i smoked 40 sigaretts and 900 gr sugar with tea liver fatty grade 3 to 4 liver size 220 cm hba1c was 10 wbc was 19000 and i cant walk but i start treadmill and diet very hard in start day i 50 sec walk with speed 3 km but now everyday 2 hours wit incline speed 6-12 and incline 10 now every things is normal and my weight is 70 km
These people have no idea how hard 1,200 calories a day is. They also have no concept of how many calories they are eating when they cheat. Their perceptions about food are so wrong.
Case in point, my mother in denial, who seemed to believe that if she inhaled the excess calories as fast as possible, it wouldn't count.
''I shouldn't be eaing this pie.''
Then cut it in 2 or 3 parts and save that to eat later instead of one of the other desserts?
''No then I would be eating it more often.''
...
I don't know the prices of food in other countries. But. Buying something healthy may not always be cheap, but usually there are cheap options, and this will last for a long time, for a few days, something for a couple of days. In my country going for burgers or pizza is worth buying products that are enough for more than one lunch.
“We’re on a limited income…” but you have money for fast food every single day 🤔
Its just so sad that so many people have eating disorders.
Having been overweight my entire life (not 600 pounds overweight...at my highest I was still under 250), I totally understand the difficulties with cravings and self control. What I don't get is how people ask for help, are told what to do, think they can modify (read: cheat), and are still shocked when the results are not what they wanted??
There is no one on the planet that exercise and diet won’t work for 😂😂😂
Her weight was 658lbs
