I always use Superlative Arms gas blocks. As you probably know by now, they are not the same as the rest. They are the only type where the adjustment screw will not seize up.
@@hairydogstail well to clarify, they do not seize up when used on the bleed off setting but they will on the restrictive setting just like any other type. So in restrictive mode you have to turn it and keep it clean regularly.
@@alouiciousjackson5812 Yes they do, it took me over a good part of an hour to take it apart to clean. Superlative adj gas blocks need less maintenance than most but they do need maintainable or they will seize up like mine did...
I have a seekins precision 1st gen rifle. I changed out ccx the muzzle devise for a venom charging handle to ambitious as I'm a lefty. And the trigger was good but I swapped it out for a velocity 1 stage straight trigger. And it's a fuckin nail driver! And fast!
After 5,000 rounds my SAI bolt carrier group already had issues. The bolt holes where the firing pin comes out was expanded and almost cracking and had marring on the carrier too. Should've saved the money and bought another BCM
Thanks Video. Late to the party. So Cal neighbor. Q: How you like that Seekins NX 15 lower ? Do you think it will have any issues mating to a Faxon 5500 complete Upper? I currently have a seekins SBA 15 lower (in Dros) but looking to do this build proper, (this NX 15 is lighter and cooler) if that means spending an extra $250 I will. Any thoughts or insights would be greatly appreciated.
My goodness. You'll be able to carry that thing anywhere and won't even know you have it... until you put bullets in it. :) But what a great build. It would be cool to hear your reaction to firing it someday.
hahahaa yea Ill have to get it out to the range soon, its a pain in the ass to get out there and fight for a place to shoot but I will in due time. thanks for watching dude, hope all is well after irma !
Oh I can imagine the hassle. We only got some wind and rain, nothing more. Thanks bud. I'll be in LA Sunday but headed North to see my Dad. I wish I could stop by but no time on this trip. You hear from Ramro?
not to much anymore, he has a new life and is busy but im sure if i called him he would be glad to hear from me... too bad about the LA trip... you know who to call if your in town though !

Yes they do. Mine seized up and was a bitch to take apart and clean out. I prefer SLR adj gas blocks. Much easier to take apart and maintain..

Right on, Very timely. I have a lower just itching to be dolled up. Want to go light as well. Thanks for the vid and ideas.
thanks man, and its great to see ya buddy ! we need a camping trip soon!!!
If you want a lightweight build, don't use a drop in trigger! Use a Hiperfire EDT Sharpshooter trigger.
What does "10 - 24 hour periods" mean?
Its the BS language Sacramento uses to define exactly "10 days" to the second.
Oh I love my state !
Nice build, good luck
