- Seekins Precision Barrel overview, we look inside and out. This is an upper echelon barrel in price and should prove to be an accurate barrel. We will mount it and do a thorough range test in the near future to really see how this guy performs

Awesome barrel. Also it's my birthday today 😄👍👍
^ send this man a birthday barrel 😅
I believe seekins uses 5R rifling in all their barrels, this would explain why the lands and grooves look less defined. 5R has a trapezoidal shape to the lands rather than the 90 degree profile found on many barrels
Always good information!
I love these reviews. Can you do one on Blackout Defense Barrels?
Good stuff
I’m curious to see how it shoots. I don’t think I’d worry about the tooling marks. Some barrels are hand lapped to get rid of the tooling marks and some claim that it makes the barrel more accurate. Now how much more accurate that’s the big question.
KB I believe you scoped this barrel a few years ago up against a PSA, BA, Proof and maybe an FN barrel as this Seekins has very distinct rifiling. Very curious to see how it shoots up against the X2 and the Proof.
The throat is a little offset/non-concentric but don't worry too much over it. I have a Criterion that has the same and it prints half-inch 5rd groups regularly. The borescope can tell you some but the target is what matters. Barrels are really proven by how they perform, not how they look.
KB32, when are you going to do a review on a Lothar Walther barrel?
Gas port is the best looking part of the barrel. It sure doesn't look like it was lapped.
It don't look like a $400 barrel on the inside .
I came across this barrel in 300BO 10.5" on sale at Sportsman's warehouse for $246.92. Is that a good deal? I wasn't planning on building a 10.5" 300BO since I already have a 8.5" pistol....LOL
I miss the beard, brother 😁
Seekins manufactures nice things. Not value-priced, but industry leading things are usually not.
👏👏👏
KB32 have you ever had a shilen barrel for an AR-15?
