    THANK you for this video. I loved that there was no music and there wasn't a rush to it. Oftentimes in past yoga classes I wanted to stay in the poses longer but that wasn't the focus of the class. This class was perfect! I also wanted to come out of many poses but your guidance helped me to stay in to benefit the opening of the spleen and stomach meridians.

    Thank you for this practice this morning Aprille. What stood out to me was lunge pose. I realize it is a pose I have been avoiding in my personal practice. There was an intensity in that pose from physical sensations, to an emotional intensity to an awareness of the ways that I grip and hold at this intersection of my body.       You are so very welcome! Lunge pose (Dragon Pose) is VERY intense and I find that using it more in my own practice has helped me release a lot of emotional "baggage". Fascia is so thickly interwoven in the hip area and mobilizing it can bring up so much - both physically and emotionally. I always remind people like Shrek says - "Better out than in", right?     Good Morning Aprille - and Lucy!!! I have to tell you, I went into the search for a practice of yours for hip flexors and this came up so thought I try it anyway. Well, it sure stretched my hip flexors (really well - that lunge pose is something!!) along with so many other wonderful postures. It is heaven and I thank you. Another plus is I slept so good. Many, many heartfelt thanks and gratitude to you. And your voice is pure calm and heaven. Also, the wonderful people and great state of Texas are in our prayers. I know it shouldn't affect you too much where you are but am asking for relief and blessings for the gulf area. All my best and thank you.

      Good Morning Denise! Any of the Spleen/Stomach meridian practices will stretch the hip flexors as the meridians run down the front side of the body through the hips flexors and over the top of the upper leg and inside the leg from there down. Dragon pose is definitely a hard pose but one I return to time and again because it is so effective! A teacher of mine once said it is the hard poses that do the most for us - I think she is right! Glad you enjoyed it and slept well.
      Thank you for your thoughts and prayers for the gulf coast - I was just in Galveston in May and was in a beach house that was repaired after Ike made landfall. The area has recovered but you can still see many signs of the disaster. They are in my thoughts and prayers down there and I hope this hurricane fizzles out some before it hits land later today.

I felt a great stretch throughout the body&it relaxes me everytime i receive practice it🙏...love and light to u💜❤💛💜❤💛...the lunge&cats catching its tail were really difficult for me sometime ago but now i feel comfortable doing them both physically &emotionally...

    Where did you learn the giraffe and cat pulling its tail? Both were a tad difficult to enter- but once in them correctly; I just melted into wonderment and ease- stress gone.
