- Did you know that Dwarf is the only Non-Binary character in Stardew Valley? At least as defined by the coding. Neat! Also, I'm not even making up the alien thing. That's like... in the game. What a strange video.

A common meme or inside joke that circulates the SDV crowd is how Linus is the one taking some money from you after seeing you pass out trying to get home. However, I think it’s more reasonable to think it is Dwarf taking money. One of his dialogue scripts is him outright saying that he gets out from his spot in the normal mine caves and loot anyone in town during the night. He reinforces it by saying that he doesn’t feel bad or guilty about stealing from townsfolk as he does not understand or care about the concept of “private property”.
I've always found it pretty odd that a being who supposedly doesn't understand the concept of "private property" still understands the concept of selling items to another individual for money.

Hey I don’t want to sound mean or rude, but since the Dwarf is non-binary (and since I am too non-binary) it’s gonna be super important to me to stress that people use neutral pronouns for them until it’s proven that they have other pronouns. Non-binary representation is extremely limited, and it would mean the world to me and many other non-binary people if they were treated with their gender properly rather than just being assumed as male or female.
@@xanthemothcat In the german language, I really struggle on how to address them properly, not because I don't care but as there is no neutral word for it. It's either "Herr" - Mr. or "Frau" Mrs. but there's no word for both or neither. I think it's the same for english. So maybe it's no bad intent but the lack of fitting words.
I know of a non binary person who HATES it to be called "it" (neutral) because "it" describes an item and not a person.
If CA ever majorly updates the game again, I'd love to see Krobus and Dwarf become buddies
We're getting another update eventually, but it sounds like it'll be less sweeping than 1.5. Probably not a ton of huge changes.
@@Leapalot I would love to see more updates, hire some help if you have to, but i'd love to see some of the game fleshed out. Krobus and Dwarf for starters, Sandy romanceable please :D stuff for the community center (I mean we did all that to rebuild it, and get no use out of it) maybe some mods put into the game like UI Suite, Stardew Valley Expanded???? etc., if that's possible, just yeah.

I actually think the strange capsule may contain a growing dwarf. This is based solely on the fact that Dwarf is completely black (almost like a shadow person) under their helmet and the creature in the capsule sometimes shows up waving at the bus stop, but is completely black (like a shadow person), with no defining features. It is also only seen at night/emerges from its capsule at night, which makes sense if it can’t survive the sunlight

Dwarf can be she/they, right? Like, female fluid. I somehow forgot that the book explicitly mentions a spaceship theory and implies Jasper was a scholar, too, not just a brute adventurer.
Could be for sure! There's not enough dialogue to be certain, but I know the fortune teller event just checks to see if the character is male and prints "her" if it's not.

@@Leapalot Maybe there are no male dwarves. They could be hermaphrodites, change sex under certain circumstances, or be so advanced that they use machine tubes to reproduce, making sex in general rudimentary!
I'd like to point out that in the adventurers guild shadow people are listed as "void spirits". The name "elemental wars" sounds weird to me if it's just shadow people and dwarves involved in it. What if what happened instead was ALL the spirits fighting back against the dwarves tapping their planet for resources? That would include junimos, dust and magma sprites and other spirits we don't learn about in-game. I know it's outlandish but I thought about it and wanted to share lol

Certain monsters drop either Void Essence (the shadow guys, flying serpents, etc.) or Solar Essence (mummies, the metal heads, etc.) Perhaps the elemental wars were between the "Void" and "Solar" monsters. Krobus falls into the void category because he's a shadow person, and "Solar" fits the dwarves because they're from space, where the sun is. Dwarves also seem to have the thing for fire considering how they reside in the volcano.
I assumed the elemental wars were called that because the elements were used as weapons, but I like this and the solar vs void theory
I feel like since we are allowed to get Krobus as a roommate we should be allowed to have dwarf too.

Krobus and Dwarf could have a good love/hate story arc where they set aside the differences of their people and come together in true love. ❤️

There's a book about Star drops in the museum which states they found traces of genetic material from meteorites in Stardrops. The meteorites are also purple. Could the dwarves have either made Stardrops to enhance their power from iridium meteorites that crash landed on their planet, and they brought the Stardrops with them to Earth? Another connection I've made is that a gravestone in DWARVISH hints about the Galaxy Sword. The Galaxy Sword and weapons are kinda like Iridium tools. What's in the meteorite? Iridium! So I think the Dwarves all have something to do with Stardrops, Iridium items, and the meteorites. Evidence that backs this up is that the Dwarf forge on Ginger island upgrades the galaxy weapons. There are dwarves there that might be past civilians of the small houses in the volcano. What could have made the Galaxy Souls? Well, all I can think is maybe some sort of huge galactic threat the Dwarves beat. They took the Galaxy Souls once it was defeated, though when they came to Earth the Galaxy Souls might've been scattered, thus explaining how they're so rare. After all, the Island Trader and Mr. Qi probably looked across the world for things to trade/sell.

Yesss, so excited for the game!! I regret not playing SDV as it was updated, and will commit to doing so in HC! I played about 30 hours with SDV, got really busy with life and other games and stopped playing. Now in the past two weeks, i've put 60-70 hours into the game lol.
For 2022, I'm looking forward to finally trying to get into fashion school after 3 years of a college "hiatus" (I had no intentions of going back, thinking it wasn't for me). I do have some units I need to complete before I reapply but I'm glad the fashion school reached out after 2 years to ask if I was still interested after my admissions interview

I don't think dwarves are aliens. The game also makes a quick reference to elves with one artifact. It does show on Fern Island that the dwarves were once a hi-tech civilization. Also being true to the dwarf lore there's that old forge on top of that volcano
what about the dwarvish text in the pyramid that confirms it?

My husband and I kept postponing our wedding for the last two years and a couple days ago we just said we didn't want to wait any longer and went to our local courthouse and got legally married on Dec 30. It was pouring rain and we didn't invite family or wear any tux or fancy dress. We were so happy and glad. I'm looking forward to starting this next year as an officially married couple. The last year was tough and lots of sad things happened so I'm glad we started it off with some joy. I hope everyone has a better year than the last 🌻💛

The thing I'm most excited for in 2022? I really hope i can become more active or even begin with a sport, considering that I went from competitive sport 4 times a week to no sport at all thank to chronic diseases - but it starts to get better thanks to new medications.

For 2022 I'm looking forward to continuing therapy and working on myself. I've been in therapy for over a decade, but 2021 threw several curveballs and uncovered some things. And I'm just looking forward to a point where I'm okay with myself. And I'm looking forward to feeling like I'm allowed to do things I enjoy again, like writing, reading, and playing the Sims.
For 2022 I look forward to getting my high school diploma, even if it will be three years after all my peers. I also look forward to getting more comfortable with myself and working on making my situation as best as I can! I don’t have any plans set in stone beacuse I hope that it will encourage me to stay positive and not feel sad or disappointed when a plan isn’t fulfilled or failed.

My biggest hope for this year would be to finally finish my thesis and get my degree, since despite my efforts I wasn't able to do so in 2021. I'm really sick of it but I've come too far to drop out now, so I gotta get to the finish line somehow. The things I'm most excited about are starting my first work experience (and getting my first paycheck!!) and seeing how pokemon legends Arceus is gonna turn out. I hope it's a fun game to experience. Other than that I'm just looking forward to not being anxious about my thesis anymore. I really want that burden off my shoulders.

That's usually what I do! 😁 I actually didn't know you could break the rock with an upgraded pick for an embarrassingly long time!
Random suggestion:
I would be very interested to see the lore behind joja and Morris! (I know this was already covered a bit when speaking about Pierre and that you have already made a video about joja, I mean Morris as a character and the full lore behind the company) but as someone who has completed the joja route more than the community Center I think there is definitely interesting sentiment to some of Morris’ dialogue as well as other villagers when referring to joja (also obviously the first cutscene at the very start of the game) I think it would make for an interesting episode!
I plan to do a video on Morris. 😁 That first Joja video was an experiment in a new style at the time. We still have much to discover about Morris. 🤔
For 2022, I really want to work on my workout and healthy diet routine. I know it sounds kinda basic and "not gonna stick to it anyways". But I really want to get a surgery related to my health and I can only get that if I lose weight. So I wanna work on getting a healthier lifestyle.

I'm hoping to eventually get well enough to go back to working 40 hours a week. I had a major back surgery in 2020 that has been really hard to recover from (it was absolutely worth it, but pain is still making things challenging). I'm back to working 30 hours; I just need to make the final steps back to 40.

Even before watching the video, I can definitely answer with YES! I mean it's scientifically proven by crystal orbs, what more can you want?
I guess it would be nice to share a few of my plans for the next year. I'd like to improve my guitar playing skills. I've been playing for two and a half years now. This year it has been slowly getting better and better, to the point where I can now effortlessly read and play tabs(Guitar sheet music, laid out like the neck of the guitar). My technique on the other hand, still needs improvement. I've gotten faster and faster, but switching from playing something requiring two fingers to three has been difficult still, and switching strings with three or more fingers is also an issue.
Aside from that, I'm looking forward to playing through the Halo: Master Chief collection. I'm currently a little over half way through Halo 2. I got stuck on the bossfight with the Prophet of Regret, not knowing I had to mount his chair, like you would mount a ghost if you don't have a rocket launcher.
I hope you lads also have some nice plans for 2022, and let's make this a good year. At least, let's try to!

I like to think that dwarf has a mixed voice- like when 2 people are talking at once, but from the same body- Which would explain a small bit about why the player can't tell if it has a set gender or not- Just my own little headcanon :)
