@@sherinscaria652 i know! Unfortunately they don't, I'm not sure if uk botanic gardens can sell cuttings from the glasshouses to the general public. They do have a plant shop but there plants come from different suppliers. I also used to volunteer in the glasshouses, helping the indoor team every Wednesday.
I know I'm butting in this conversation but it caught my eye...I go to therapy and when I get back from a really tough session (talking about my child hood drama) I check out and disappear to go repot some plants or to check how my green babies are doing. Its a beautiful stress/depression reliever!
I absolutely love it! Do you know what you’ve done?! I’m planning trips to every single botanical gardens now, so exciting to recognize so many of the plants (bc of you!) love love love!
One of my favourite places in the world, part of the reason I moved to Edinburgh 15 years ago. I sit and crochet out by the glasshouses and the alpine gardens.
It is a Strongylodon macrobotrys (aka jade or esmerald vine). It is native from the Philippines and it is actually from the same family as peas or beans - the Fabaceae
OMG! so much beauty and it's growing outside, thank you for bringing this into my life today. I love botanical gardens, and nurseries and all these plants that can grow outside. I would love to visit some different gardens around the world.
I love this!!! I visited the Edinburgh Botanical Gardens in May 2019 all the way from Albuquerque but my camera broke literally as I was walking up to the glasshouse and I ended up leaving without going inside because I had to get it taken care of. If I ever make it back to Edinburgh I definitely won't miss out on this again! Thanks for the vid xx
What a gorgeous Botanical Garden! I love the choice of music you use for your videos:) Do you know if Hannah from Tropical plant addict came to this same nursery for her birthday? Well anyhow you both have the best gardens/observatories that you live next to;) I hope you feel better soon...Peppermint tea or chamomile would be great for your cold! Rest up busy lady! Emily
I wonder if you non-chalantly took a cutting (or two!) while pretending to inspect a plant 😂🤣😂 I actually saw a couple of ladies at the National Botanic Garden in Dublin take cuttings without a care in the world! 😁
I'm always tempted to do this... but then I think, if everyone did that all the plants would be in pretty poor shape! I'd hate to ruin someone else's enjoyment of these beautiful plants because I was selfish enough to steal cuttings.
@@sophiedavies9161 Agreed, I always fantasise about it but then I remind myself to be a responsible adult! However once I saw in a supermarket that a piece of dracaena marginata had fallen off the main plant so I swiftly "rescued" it from the floor and is now slowly putting out roots in water 😁
@@ratgirl44 Ah, temptations! Too many! But we must be good citizens! Having said that, I wonder if you ask the botanists for a cutting nicely would do the trick 😀
I'm really lucky as i live in central Edinburgh, so it's only a 30 minute walk from mine. I also used to work with the indoor team 15 years ago.
How cool! the U.S stinks with their selection of beautiful botanical gardens:( your making me want to pack my things and move lol!
Lucky you.. do they sell any plant cuttings there?
love your life yes we do sell a lot here in the United States. But they can get pretty expensive!

Seeing those make you realize even our biggest plants are just babies. lol Gorgeous, I could live in there!
Loved seeing all the plants together. A better view of seeing how they all grow in their own niche, the orchids too. Huge vanda , dendrochilum, etc.

It's like plant ASMR - only that they all whisper the same thing: "You know you want me" & "You know you need me in your life"

Anyone know what that gorgeous blue plant at 10 minutes was?!

This was an absolutely stunning place and you filmed it beautifully. It was so relaxing and enjoyable. Thanks for sharing😊👍❤.
You should have brought your makeup table and filmed an episode of Rare Plant Index from there. I’m sure no one would have minded.

we would appreciate if you can give the names of each plant that you show in the video.
I'm afraid that's not possible - over 50% of plants didnt have name tags
