To think probably 90% of the people in that audience were not even born when Freddie died let alone when BoRap was written. And they all knew the words. Freddie was once asked what his favourite instrument was and he replied: "Oh the audience sweetie !" Rest well Freddie you are still playing your favourite instrument.
Freddie is proud. He wanted to be a legend and he is. This is impressive. I wish he could have lived more time to see this and bless us with his voice and music.
The best front man in rock history. I had the privilege to sing this song with him 5 times. No one can replace him. Freddie, you are a legend. Rest in peace.
i know i was 4 years old at that time when it happend, and after long search i have 4 dvd from live aid show from serveral stadiums in serveral country's including famous Wimbleton UK . i am beginning to feel old with the knowledge i have.
Play Bohemian Rhapsody before Harry Styles... Play Bohemian Rhapsody before Backstreet Boys... Play Bohemian Rhapsody before Rammstein... Play Bohemian Rhapsody before Rolling Stones, Metallica, Bad Religion, Beethoven, Mozart, Adele, Madonna, Robbie Williams or anybody else... nevermind... the crowd will know the lyrics and join in...
Today's Queen is still Queen. Today's Queen is still playing to sold out stadiums, tribute bands don't sell out crowds of 15 and twenty and thirty thousand people. It is very disrespectful to call Brian May and Roger Taylor a tribute band, Freddie would be very disappointed in remarks like that and wouldn't consider you a friend.
@@lorrainecimino8508 Queen Tribute band are playing on the Legacy of Freddie and John- everyone knows that. Don't forget the biggest hits were freddie's too- he wrote over 70! - BTW Tribute bands can sell thousands as many people have never seen the real thing! Fortunately I have many times!
@@snowyherge1549 John's Legacy? What about Brian and Roger's Legacy? Don't forget about the hits that Brian has written and Roger has written. We Will Rock You is Brian's Song and it is played at every sporting event around the world. Along with Hammer to Fall, Hold your mother down, and 39 songs that were then and still today sung at every concert. And everybody knows Radio Gaga from Roger, also song at every concert. They made 15 albums, if there were only say 10 songs per album that would be 150 songs, and you're claiming Freddy wrote 70 of them, so I guess the other guys wrote the rest. That's a lot of songs by Brian Roger and John don't you think. But John wrote very few songs. It's quite sad that you have to tear down the Magnificent careers of Brian and Roger, just so you can lift up Freddie and John.
@@lorrainecimino8508 I think John's comment says it all -The band’s bassist retired back in 1997 but has still accumulated an impressive fortune of US$170 million, per Celebrity Net Worth. He wrote some of the group’s greatest hits, including “Another One Bites the Dust” and “I Want to Break Free”, and told Bassist in 1996 that “there is no point carrying on. It is impossible to replace Freddie.” So anything else is a tribute band! As the years roll on Freddie will always be talked about for his band Queen (he named them) and his anthem Bohemian Rhapsody -that is simply a fact! Freddie was the exhilarating centerpiece of the band!
@@snowyherge1549 I actually kind of agree and kind of disagree. There is no replacing a frontman, singer, entertainer and songwriter like Freddie. Full stop. But imo no one ever tried to replace him. If they wanted to do that, they would have chosen Marc Martel as a new singer as his voice is actually incredibly similar to Freddie‘s. He is the singer of one of the most well known Queen Tribute Bands. However, Brian May and Roger Taylor decided to not tour with him and instead eventually chose Adam Lambert whose voice does not really sound like Freddie’s but, and I mean this in an absolutely positive way, he is quite a diva on stage who brings these tunes to life brilliantly in my opinion. Unfortunately Freddie passed away years before I was born but thanks to my parents I got to grow up listening to Queen among other amazing artists of the 60s-80s. Thanks to Adam Lambert I also had the chance to experience these songs I live in concert which I appreciate quite a lot! Freddie himself once said the rest of the band were free to do whatever they want with his songs after his passing he just demanded it to not be boring :D And the fact that entire stadiums of (I‘m guessing) mostly people under the age of 30 are singing along to this song more than thirty years after Freddie‘s death kinda means that something went right if you ask me. However, John Deacon’s decision to stop performing must of course be equally respected, just to mention that as well.
It sure was, I was there too, I’ve been lucky enough to have seen Queen (the original Queen and not with Adam Lambert) many many times, the first was in 1975 from then on I was smitten. Treasured memories as I’m sure you’ll agree.
I still remember it as if it was yesterday - runnjng into our first class of the day (Physics) on a Tuesday-morning, Mr Stewart was gettjng ready to start that class but I couldnt wait to ask the gang if they'd heard Queens new single on 'Radio.Luxembourg' last night (in those days 'Radio Luxembourg' was the ONLY station playing OUR music late at night !) that lasted 7 minutes and was absolutely brilliant ??. Mr Stewart gave up on physics that because ALL we wanted to talm about and sing was 'Bohemian Rhapsody" !. I got to see them the folliwing year *at Edinburgh Playhouse' - still got the ticket - £6 !!! one of THD greatest concerts of my life !
Having a show in Wembley itself is iconic.....Celine Dion, to Adele...... all iconic singers have performed there.....glad now Harry is part of that league as a solo singer

Can’t argue with that
Even in death, Freddie is still rocking stadiums. What a legend
Im not even a Queen fan but this shit is way too fire not to like
