Very nice! That is a good haul, for sure. The bridge is nice and the diesel horn stations are sweet. Those freight cars from the 999 set are in good shape, other than the wheels, which should clean-up pretty nicely. It is good that all of the locomotives work and I'm sure that you have a pony truck for that 999, laying around somewhere. It will be cool to see that American Flyer locomotive fixed-up and running, along with that clockwork engine. As I stated earlier, the bridge is Marx and the fence is from an Eldon slot car set. An excellent video, as always.

I'm sure that fence came from an Eldon slot car set. The Marx stuff is real nice. Lots of cool stuff, for sure.

Derek, The Marx Oak Park station had a whistle that was supposed to sound like a diesel horn. The red Girard whistling station had a steam whistle.

I have two Marx Pennsylvania RR bridges like that, one in red and one in silver. I also have a yellow one in NYC. The Marx insignia should be at the bottom of the Keystone.

Hey Derek, That wind up Commodore Vanderbilt has a reversing motor in it. You can tell by the little bend in the top of the lever and the square metal piece with the round hole in it on the bottom of the motor. Pushing the lever all the way straight down makes the train go fwd. Pulling the lever all the way straight up makes it go in reverse. The middle position is neutral for winding the motor up. Have fun.

Maybe that book has the answers to some, or all of your questions.

Marx guy here, in Greenberg's Guide Vol.111, page 126, set 1585 was catalogued by Wards in 1939 as 48T143 C/V Loc.and silver -- frame mixed with man in door refrigerator car. Looks like you have several pieces of that set. Congratulations!

Hello,I’m wondering if you received my email any help with m 9b transformer would be great. In one of your videos you had a issue with the broken wiring between the loco and tender-if you didn’t resolve that, I just rewired the tender from the plug that plugs into the loco to the tender, and have had it running all day let me know if I can help with that issue. My guess is that those Marx cars with the unpainted frames, as well as the unpainted turnout and track pieces were originally painted and someone either removed the paint by de-rusting the pieces in white vinegar or sand blasted them for restoration.
