Finally, we got a perfect looking Thomas from Lionel. Sadly, it’s the version from the reboot that nobody likes.

Either making them into the ideal Thomas Or something like the "baby" version of Thomas, like how wooden railway did it at one point
I'm starting to notice that only Thomas ranges that have had a bad downgrade are being turned to AEG and turn off makes me want to fix them more

Say what you want about AEG, but lionel did a pretty impressive job at turning something that was 2D into an actual fuctioning 3D train set, even the faces are on point with the original, when I first saw this I thought it was just a couple of really cool custom models 🤣

Bruh, most of the people in the comments tho; everyone has a right to voice their own opinion but man if you're getting this upset at Lionel for making the current version of Thomas and it arguably looking better or at least, more accurate to what's it's based on than the original did, then just make your own Lionel Thomas model that looks closer to the original series design. You don't have to like it, but still, it's not worth getting mad over. If this really gets people mad, they should just be relieved that Bachmann has confirmed that their line would not be affected by AEG.

Honestly such a stunning model and set! Im hoping this comes to New Zealand Amazon, as i went to get this set from Lionels website, and was told i couldn't because i didnt live in the USA or Canada

It looks like a really fun toy! I wish it was track powered, but other than that it seems like a great set. Lots of adults in the comments getting mad that a baby show doesn’t do fan service for them lol

bro everyone hates this cause it’s not the old show, yes while I do think the old show is better everyone in the thomas fandom these days are letting nostalgia blind them season 5 was like 20 years ago but in all honesty this thomas is amazingly accurate to the reboot

I wished they could have made a more accurately scaled and proportioned o-scale Lionel original series Thomas
They did for MANY years starting back in the 90s up until at least some years ago. I have an early o-gauge Thomas (no moving eyes) in my collection, but don’t run it much because of the coupler design.
@@MrAwesomedude808 Lionel 'classic era' toys are okay, but not as polished and show-accurate as this one. They did play around with the switchable faces even back then though, a really cool idea that fits with how expressive Thomas characters are. Be neat if they had another go with classic Thomas, it seems like their quality has upped since then.
(Weird this has the CGI era music and voice though. One major oversight there.)
