I can't help crying listening to this song, I'm so glad they came back to us 40 years since they stopped making music together and 50 years after they started. Beautiful Jayy, thank you❤
me too if you like remixes there are plenty posted but i think the best is from dj STORM he is brilliant and has gotten approval from ABBA's management also check out his 2 new mixes for just a notion/ you will love them!!!
I was a 9-year-old boy when ABBA released their last single. I'm now a grizzled, greying 47-year-old man and I am absolutely stunned at how good they still sound after nearly 40 years. It's insane!
I was living just outside Stockholm, Sweden when ABBA came along. I was young, for sure, but I still remember watching them live on Top of The Pops. My sister even forced me onto a makeshift stage along with two of our Swedish cousins to re-enact a few ABBA claasics.
YES! Me too! Hearing this, I am INSTANTLY 8 years old again - it's the feeling you get when your favorite aunts and uncles fly in from out of town and take you ice skating and hold your hands on each side and swing you.... Pure love.
Those crystalline voices have been with me since in utero, and I've had nothing but wilful adoration for ABBA since the mid-late 80s (my first first-hand song memories)... It's a funny thing, how powerful the comeback has been, what it's meant to hundreds of millions of people around the world.. For me , it made the end part of 2021 one of the most historic and memorable times of the millennium. A powerhouse of love and expression, unity and restoration. Utterly floored me , at the same time as setting my spirit on fire ~!
I was 7 when I watched them perform Waterloo on the Eurovision show. Been a fan ever since, through my glam and punk phases and right up to today. When I first heard this, I was drowning in tears. I've got tickets for the shows later this year. I know it's a virtual show, but I can't imagine how emotional it'll be, being in the room with thousands of other Abba fans.
@@tonybaker8494 I have learned to cope and love and hope... it's WHY I am here now.... THose words could be used by any human being who has been thru the transformative process she references.
I am 36 years old and wasn’t alive when abba were releasing albums and performing live. I grew up listening to and obsessed with ABBAs music. I never in a million years thought they would release new music in my lifetime. I remember when they announced they were releasing a new song. Then it got delayed and it was announced that it was two songs. So I will be patient for an extra song. Then it became a whole album. WHAT?!? UNREAL
The big global news of this 21st century for the music world is the return of the legendary Swedish pop group ABBA to the recording studios after more than 35 years (the last was "The day before you came") and the edition of his new songs after 39 years (the last was "Under attack") and a new album after almost 40 years (the last was "The Visitors") Beyond that these three data are for the Guines Book of records (I believe that No Group or Singer or Artist can come close to these incredible brands), the most remarkable thing is How they returned, with what level of quality And I must say that ABBA overcame all fears, doubts and expectations Their return is shocking and his quality is still valid "Don't shut me down" it's another surprise from ABBA A pop song was expected, but there were reservations and fears for what it could be (and here I include doubts to the voices of the girls due to their age) And we find a magnificent work The beginning is with Agnetha's voice attacking with the pleasant company of the piano. What Agnetha does in that introduction is anthology, exquisite modulating and using different nuances with her mature voice. Until Benny's signature piano glint (nod to the mega hit "Dancing Queen") and ABBA's typical pop song is with us, with the fans, because the lyrics speak to us. and Agnetha assumes that decoding of almost four decades and gives us her beautiful voice as the strings grow and lead to a memorable chorus with Frida reliving the historic third voice of ABBA But it doesn't end there, the second part adds hooks and a xylophone is added to the bells (a nod to the marimba in "Mamma Mía"), and the pre-chorus has more force with Agnetha and Frida and the violins anticipate the elevation to a chorus triumphant final anthology reminiscent of their greatest hits And it ends with a soft and sweet Agnetha voice and piano melody (as the begin, a double nod to "Thank you for the music") Thank for your great reaction and for Your respect to ABBA music now wey waiting for the new album and see in next ABBA vídeo GOD bless You
I think her voice sounds exactly the same but we can agree to disagree it's just that she's older now and isn't playing the same kind of music or Abba isn't playing the same kind of music. They have matured. Anybody who really knows Abba knows that they were competing with so many different kinds of music in that day. Thanks Jayy
ABBA is back..Life is good❤️ they've still got it going on.never missed a beat.great music again, Loved them back in the day, love them still.great choice Sunshine. Love this one!
Thank you for a great video reaction!🌷🌷🌷🌷 They released it 40 years after their latest album and 50 years after they started as a group - imagine that.
Its an amazing song all round from the melody the instruments the production the lyrics and then those beautiful fragile emotion vocals that hit you right in the feels….yup amazing
I still wonder that it seems that nowadays ABBA is more popular in the US than during the 70/80`s. They didn´t reach high positions in the charts (except for the Dancing Queen)
The new song JUST A NOTION from the new album is released today. Although it was recorded in 1978 it was never released but now they have recorded a new backing track to which they have added drums and guitars but the vocals are from the original 1978 recording. Hope you will react to it. Very uptempo
Another song I think would be a great comeback song for all of us after all these hard times pass is called All Over The World by ELO. its a very celebration type song and very uplifting and happy as well. Love all the reactions take care stay safe cheers from Arizona 👍😎
it came from the movie Xanadu, which aside from its HORRIBLE writing, was a brilliant and uplifting movie. If I hadnt loved ONJ before, I did after that. ELO and ONJ together was absoulte brilliance
@@ZakhadWOW 100% ONJ was so hot in that movie, of course she always was. Yes terrible movie, but rockin soundtrack. ELO and Olivia just an awesome combination.
I'm 65...never thought I'd hea anything this good again.....but...wow.
Agnetha' is the perfect storyteller, her voice is pure magic! Nobody is better.
I said its not a coincident that ABBA came back out now, with everything happening, the world needs hope and whats better than ABBA?
"The world needed ABBA to come back..."
Amen, sister.
I can't help crying listening to this song, I'm so glad they came back to us 40 years since they stopped making music together and 50 years after they started.
Beautiful Jayy, thank you❤
This song gets better and better every time you hear it and I have listened to it over a hundred times 😁
Yes! I notice subtle additions and appreciate the production every time I hear it.

Absolutely true 😀
Yep, it really does...can't hear it just once.
"So freaking amazing." Oh my yes! ABBA magic (new ABBA magic) out there once more. Ahhhh. Happiness.

"You asked me not to leave...so here I am again." And not a moment too soon.
And I love you still and so i won't pretend!
My favorite line!

It's hard to believe ABBA have come back after 40 yrs, incredible. I was 16yrs old when ABBA won the Eurovision Song Contest, called 'Waterloo'.
Such a lovely and true ABBA tune including the 'dancing queen' keyboard touch...

Very well said thank you
Amazing they sound this good in their 70s. I can’t wait for the album release.
I lived in Sweden while ABBA was first taking off. I have a life-long soft spot for them. ❤

I knew you would love this. Greatest comeback for these covid times.
I loved to listen to ABBA just being ABBA.
They're nothing but geniuses.
ABBA in any decade sounds amazing.

YOUR SO RIGHT WE NEED ABBA ❤❤❤
ABBA is fantastic four...
Nothing compare
❤🎉❤
ABBA sound exactly the same as they did in 1983 when they took a break
Its an amazing song all round from the melody the instruments the production the lyrics and then those beautiful fragile emotion vocals that hit you right in the feels….yup amazing
This reminds me alot of some ELO songs. Incredible sound and beautiful singing. Definitely what we all need right now.
Love this one! So recognizable for Abba!!
And great lyrics!!🎶🎤💜
Thx for reacting!
Great reaction ❤
Breathtakingly beautiful ♥
They have another new song coming out this Friday!! Just a Notion :) And of course their full new album this November the 5th!
I still wonder that it seems that nowadays ABBA is more popular in the US than during the 70/80`s. They didn´t reach high positions in the charts (except for the Dancing Queen)
The world did need them back❤️🌹
Still got it!
Almost a follow up to The Day Before You Came, good song writing, singing and production, whats not to like?
Love your reaction
it's a follow up to ONE OF US. The Day before would be somewhere in the middle.
Love your reactions. So glad to see your review of Don´t Shut Me Down!! You´re the best. 4 more channels!!!! Yoo Hoo!
The new song JUST A NOTION from the new album is released today. Although it was recorded in 1978 it was never released but now they have recorded a new backing track to which they have added drums and guitars but the vocals are from the original 1978 recording. Hope you will react to it. Very uptempo
Funny.....I had that SAME smile.........
Hard to believe they are all well in to their 70s now, yet they sound as good (if not better) as they did 45 years ago!
Great reaction! 🙏❤️

Cliff Richards - DEVIL WOMAN is another hit smash for your request list. 🪦😈
Agnetha and Karen Carpenter are the two perfect female singers we were blessed with.
This is a great review. I like you. Subscribed!!!
Did anyone else notice that Agnetha actually sings “once these BOOBS were witness to our love..” in the second verse?! 🤣🤣
Please react to 'I can be that woman' by ABBA
