I'M A BIG ABBA FAN SINCE 1974. I'M TELLING YOU, THEY ARE BACK STRONGER THAN EVER. THIS IS A NEW MASTERPIECE MONSTER HIT. NO ONE CAN SHUT ABBA DOWN. SOOOOOOO HAPPY 🤩🤩🤩🤩
I heard it a few hours ago and cried like a baby. So many emotions both happy and sad, I can't stop listening now..Hearing that amazing sound of the Abba I have always loved..Its like they where never gone x
I have loved ABBA for many years.............my favorite pop group behind Pentatonix........their harmonies are iconic...this song made me tear up........god I miss them so much.........thank you for sharing...
I broke down when I heard the songs. Even my young son! This is incredible. I've met Björn and Benny a few times, and I was sure ABBA never would record again. And now this - and soooooo great!!!!!
ABBA came back at a very dark time to offer us a glimpse of what happiness is. Thank you ABBA. Truthfully, they are the Swedish Beatles. Timeless, pioneers --unique and essential contributors to popular music. m
Beatles are Beatles ABBA are ABBA Beatles & ABBA have your own musical identity as groups Beatles & ABBA are in The Podium of the Greatest Groups in músic history In the 60s the 'Hep Stars' (the initial group of Benny Andersson) was called "The Swedish Beatles"
Im balling my eyes out now i cant believe how good the songs still are, Coming from a 50 years + Abba Fan, Australia catapulted Abba to Fame when they Toured in 1977 They were ridicolous massive here in Australia Thats where all there Hit songs went to Number 1, Dissapointed that there Voyage tour isnt here in Australia First why did they choose England First, Abba now should continue making there Gorgeous Music and do not STOP PLEASE Love Em To Death, Coming From A True Blue Aussie Guy Down Under
I can not describe the happiness that I'm experiencing. Abba has been an important part of my life. I feel as if I had been in darkness and all of the sudden saw the light. I can not even describe how happy I am. Abba to me is life. love, hope, happiness, a bright present and a wonderful future.
ABBA all between 71-76 years...Still touches hearts..Shows that pop music doesn't have to be privileged to just young performers... And who other band can take a break 39 years and come back like this...They are some of the richest people in music in Sweden. So they definitely not doing it for the money... They all are such humble and friendly. And as a Swede born early 70s I am very proud to say. That their music was around me all my upbringing..
I cry every time i hear this song it brings back so many happy memories when i went out with my 2 sisters dancing to Abba. They both died young and god do i miss them but thank you Abba for the memories x
The big global news of this 21st century for the music world is the return of the legendary Swedish pop group ABBA to the recording studios after more than 35 years (the last was "The day before you came") and the edition of his new songs after 39 years (the last was "Under attack") and a new album after almost 40 years (the last was "The Visitors") Beyond that these three data are for the Guines Book of records (I believe that No Group or Singer or Artist can come close to these incredible brands), the most remarkable thing is How they returned, with what level of quality And I must say that ABBA overcame all fears, doubts and expectations Their return is shocking and his quality is still valid "Don't shut me down" it's another surprise from ABBA A pop song was expected, but there were reservations and fears for what it could be (and here I include doubts to the voices of the girls due to their age) And we find a magnificent work The beginning is with Agnetha's voice attacking with the pleasant company of the piano. What Agnetha does in that introduction is anthology, exquisite modulating and using different nuances with her mature voice. Until Benny's signature piano glint (nod to the mega hit "Dancing Queen") and ABBA's typical pop song is with us, with the fans, because the lyrics speak to us. and Agnetha assumes that decoding of almost four decades and gives us her beautiful voice as the strings grow and lead to a memorable chorus with Frida reliving the historic third voice of ABBA But it doesn't end there, the second part adds hooks and a xylophone is added to the bells (a nod to the marimba in "Mamma Mía"), and the pre-chorus has more force with Agnetha and Frida and the violins anticipate the elevation to a chorus triumphant final anthology reminiscent of his greatest hits And it ends with a soft and sweet Agnetha voice and piano melody (nod to "Thank you for the music") Thank for your great reaction and for Your respect to ABBA music now we have a brand new album Voyage that is a worldwide success see in next ABBA vídeo GOD bless You
I'm a Swede born in 1970, my most formative years were centered around ABBA and their music. As a life creation coach focused on mind, body and heart I work with a lot of different tools, including tools for healing your inner child. Well, ABBAs comeback is healing inner children all over the world. We all carry childhood traumas to different degrees and the combination of their classic sound, the lyrics about accepting transformation and growth, and the fact that they are actually making a, brilliant, comeback is moving stuck emotions, stuck energies, all over the world. ABBA is raising the vibration of the world, helping us release resistance, moving us into the future. I'm sure you've heard about the ABBAtars by now! There is another video out there of this song showing how it's done. Thanks for the reaction, Schnell! 🥰🙏
I adore your reaction and your appreciation for this iconic group. I have been a big ABBA fan since the 70's and I am so glad that they're back after 40 years and have given the world this amazing new collection of songs. Seeing young people like yourself enjoying and reacting to their music is very special. They have given us so many wonderful songs through the years and now a whole new generation is able to enjoy their music. I hope they win a Grammy. They more than deserve is and way overdue.
Wow, with these new songs ABBA touches the souls and hearts of people around the world - and not only of the baby boomer generation which grew up with their songs in 70s and early 80s (but maybe they feel a little bit more touched). Only ABBA are able to create songs for eternity, which can make you cry and smile at the same time. All we need is love - and more ABBA songs.
G'Day from Australia. Always love your honest reactions, Schnell. I remember growing up in a household filled with ABBA music as my mother was an avid fan and had a large collection of their albums. I sadly lost Mum to cancer 3 yrs ago, so this new music from ABBA has filled me with nostalgic tears and happy memories of my childhood. Thank You ABBA.
A beautiful reaction. I cried the first time. This song is like a reference to someone being surprised that after many years he has returned completely different but still the same. Because he wanted to. P.S. I don't think there will be any music videos but there will be concerts at the ABBA Arena in London and I'm going there in August! Sorry for my English.
I totally agree with your review ... it's such a nice song...I absolutely love it! I grew up listening to ABBA and I can't believe that so many years has gone. When I started to hear Don't Shut Me Down, my four year old daugther came to me and said 'Mum, how can they sing SO nice? I like this song very much'. So my daugther and I (from Denmark) would like to thank ABBA and say THANK YOU FOR THE MUSIC :) Now she wants to hear this song every night before she goes to sleep ❤️
If only I could explain what I feel when I listen to this ABBA's song and finding out about their return. It touches the depth of my soul and it's like a light appearing during these hard and dark times. That's what ABBA is currently doing to the word! If people leave this world without deeply valuing and living ABBA's songs then they miss out huge in my in my opinion. ABBA Forever!!!
I don't know how you experience Abba at your young age. You haven't lived the late 70's and 80's with Abba's music. You didn't had the new released song "I have a dream" playing in the background at the diner table at Xmas. Everyone kept quiet when they were on TV in a music video or in a program. We were concentrated because THEY were in front of our eyes, and we listened in awe to the song. It didn't matter which one, as long it was Abba's. Many of us of the old days cried hearing that song "Don't shut me down", so hard to understand. Each one has his own story why that is. Mine I think is because it took me back to my childhood where my mom was still alive, where my beloved cat was still alive, where I really could enjoy music and danced in the street with others on Abba's music and others without shame. Me, a boy. Where life was simpler and we played outside, we were not slaves of technology. We were free in a sense. We had a phone with a wire but were free, now they have a phone without a wire and they are not free. We played outside, we didn't needed a chatroom to meet someone virtually, instead we met each other in person, in the flesh. Yes, much have changed. With Abba here again for just one full record... to experience that before I go to sleep and join them... in one word... heavenly.
I was lucky enough to see ABBA when they played in Toronto back in 1979. I had already been a fan for several years, have remained a fan, and am thrilled beyond words with their two new songs. Can't wait for the full new album!
As a fan who has been following ABBA since 1974, I can only say: No, it would be unfavorable if they were to perform live today. All the members of ABBA have aged gracefully. It would destroy my memories of the time when they (ABBA) had their best time (1970s and 1980s). That's why the idea of having them perform as avatars is just brilliant ! The music, which is by Benny Andereson and Björn Ulveas, is as good as we are used to from ABBA. You can easily and quickly access this title and enjoy the successful work. I am also pleased that ABBA is obviously also in the U.S. today a great attention. I assume that you are from the USA. Is that right ? That was - I think - not always so ! I see: There is a second song by ABBA: I still have Faith in You. It would also be important if you would take up this song - if you haven't already done so. Thank you for your contribution here.
Despite both Agnetha and Annifrid have done music on their own on and off these past 40 years they haven't been touring singing night after night. That's one reason why their voices still sound so good up until today and their harmonizing is just like back in the days just like their like piano trade mark!! During next year they will do a like virtual reality tour called ABBA the hologram tour. It will be like a journey back in time to 1979.
🧡 ABBA ! PLATINUM There are already deejays remixing this song making extended dance versions. At 65, and a member of the generation that helped propel ABBA to global stardom, not only are they reaffirming what we knew all along, the lyrics express that they have come to know, that magic never died. I'm ready for the dance floor as if I'm in my 20s again. May both new songs, and the entire album, achieve PLATINUM for ABBA. They're so deserving for this marvelous comeback, for how great they sound and for continuing the ABBA magic - truly at a time the world needs some magic. Thank you, Schnell. And thank you to all the generations that have come after mine to keep ABBA alive. For the love of music, and ABBA - Peace.
Beautiful, thank you and lot's of love from Sweden!❤🇸🇪 If you do a first reaction of their other new song, you will see ABBA recording the songs in Benny's studio in the Stockholm archipelago.
Omg, the feelings that run thru my body hearing them again. I don’t think they’ll do a music video as they are now but they will start their new concert in may nxt year. This is the big project the have been working on which has been delays because of the pandemic. The band members have spent 8hrs a day for weeks actually performing a concert in front of camera’s etc in private. You may have seen clips of them wearing all in one suits with coloured dots on them. They wore these suits which detect movement etc ( it’s very technical) & by doing this they have produces ‘avatars’ which will be then used in concert. It looks amazing because they will show the ‘old’ ABBA performing but in the skin of the younger ABBA, via avatars. So when you see the concert you will be seeing the real ABBA but as avatars. The technology in this blew my mind so I probably haven’t explained it very well but I hope you get the idea. There are clips in ‘I have faith in you’ particularly of Friday that show the avatars. In the launch on friday, the boys were saying how they’d thought about how they could tour this because so much equipment is needed. They decided that London was where they wanted it to be, which makes sense as it’s accessible from everywhere. They looked for places that they could use & not to bore you with all the details, in the end they decided that the only soloution that meant they had complete control was to build a brand new arena, which is what they have done, the ‘ABBA’ arena is here in London in the Olympic park. The idea is that it will be as close to going to a concert & having that concert experience as you can get, the arena has seating & standing area’s for those that just want to dance. They will start a 4yr residency to begin with in may 22 & I don’t know what will happen after that, whether they will try & do the same in another country. All I know is that for the nxt 4 years you will be able to see ABBA ‘live’ in concert & I can’t wait!!!!!
An Excellent Explanation & A Terrific Tribute To ABBA’s “Voyage” Project in very easy to understand words! Thank You for this Great Comment! ❤️❤️❤️ PS The next time someone looks lost & confused about what exactly it is that ABBA have done here, & what they’ll be doing next, I’ll just point them in your direction, & “Job’s A Good ‘Un!!!” 🤓 Easy-Peasy, no? 😉 lol 😂🤣😂 (Heck, I might even quote your comment as an introduction to this video on my Facebook Page, with your permission, & give you the full credit you deserve for your Crystal-Clear & very touching words!!! 🥰
Even though the Abbatar concept and concert is going to be ground breaking and historical, what would truly be the icing on the cake would be if the current ABBA, in their seventies, would at least come out and take a bow the way they are now to end the show. Because an hour and a half of pre-recorded modern technology can never really replace the heart and soul of the group themselves. We love The Rolling Stones in their old age. We would certainly embrace ABBA too just as they are.
I whent to London in August to se ABBA Voyage..That became an expirience of a life time. The crowd whent nuts..some cried..a lot where dancing and the ABBA tars where amazing. The ABBA tars have impoved a lot since The video they first releast. Today its almost imopssible to se that they are not real. 👍
I still have faith in you is such a beautiful and emotional song we’d love your reaction to that song. The girls voices are still fantastic at 76 years of age.
Sweden, Sweden, Sweden, what talents you create! What is it with this little country in the North? Answer: one of their treasures is / has been that they have a natural aptitude for singing and for music in general. It is in their genes. See for example "allsång på Skansen", Stockholm, where they meet and sing together once a week in the summertime. And their people's soul goes very, very deep. ABBA was one of the very first artists to be known outside of Scandinavia. A big hug from Norway, neighbour of Sweden.
Oh geez, here I am 3 weeks behind!! ( got a divorce and changed my last name)Thanks for the shout out!! I grew up listening to ABBA waaaay back in the late 70's and eightys.
Excellent your reaction, with joy and respect for those of us who grew up listening to ABBA. I have seen other reactions on UA-cam about this cold and technical ABBA return, cutting the song, and the truth is, I stopped seeing them right away. This is not one more summer group, more respect. So I congratulate you, your reaction and that you are very young has been one of the most joyful and respectful. Thanks.
I think you were born in 90's and this fact is very important because even people that never had lived in golden days of ABBA, are influenced by them today.....is very impressive.
You said it would be great if the did a Video of them performing this. They did. The entire Concert which premiers in London in May next year was recorded as they sang all 22 songs which include these two new ones. If Abba follows the same successful route as all their other hits from the past, they should be releasing video's of these two songs since they will undoubtedly be the highest ranking in chart position as well as sales of any song released this month. Maybe the whole year. Of course, they would be performing on those videos in the same Digital Avatars as they will be in the Concert Hall in East London next year. Cant wait to see whats next from Abba. This is just the beginning of the Abba revival we have waited for all these years. God bless Abba.🇸🇪❤🇸🇪❤🇸🇪❤🇸🇪
Schnell many thanks for this reaction since I was unaware ABBA had new songs. Thank you very much for providing links to the original video and to ABBA's official UA-cam channel AND for encouraging viewers to watch the original video and subscribe to their UA-cam channel. Personally I encourage anyone reading this to subscribe to Schnell's 3 UA-cam channels for her reactions, her vlogs and most of all, her music videos as she is a fabulous singer. Choose to be happy and live life with hope.
Nobody but ABBA could come up with harmonies like these. They are so beautiful , so uplifting, so stirring . These brilliant songsters are in a league of their own. They make people *feel* something very profound . Not many artists can claim to be able to create that effect.
So true!!! They touch your soul with there music.
True so True
I am absolutely on the same page with EACH and EVERY word you said.
This song knocks me off my feet. Youthful and mature at the same time.

Don't Shut is fABBAulous ! I'll be playing this constantly on my New Zealand radio show .. so melodic, uplifting ..
I'M A BIG ABBA FAN SINCE 1974. I'M TELLING YOU, THEY ARE BACK STRONGER THAN EVER. THIS IS A NEW MASTERPIECE MONSTER HIT. NO ONE CAN SHUT ABBA DOWN. SOOOOOOO HAPPY 🤩🤩🤩🤩
This confirms it. They definitively still got it. The songwriting, the singing, the harmonies, their classic (but more modern) sound. Love it.
I've kinda been crying all weekend, listening to their music over and over again. What a gift! Thank you ABBA!
You too?
Are you from those 70-80's days like me or not?
Me too

Now 70 I have been waiting 40 years. Thank you ABBA.
As an American with Scandinavian roots I am in heaven. The band of my youth is back. Chills and goosebumps.

THE LYRICS ARE SO PROFOUND AND MEANINGFUL, NOT TO MENTION THEIR VOICES ARE SO GOOD - AFTER SO MANY MANY YEARS.
LOVE YOUR REACTION SCHNELL
The big global news of this 21st century for the music world is the return of the legendary Swedish pop group ABBA to the recording studios after more than 35 years (the last was "The day before you came") and the edition of his new songs after 39 years (the last was "Under attack") and a new album after almost 40 years (the last was "The Visitors")
Beyond that these three data are for the Guines Book of records (I believe that No Group or Singer or Artist can come close to these incredible brands), the most remarkable thing is How they returned, with what level of quality And I must say that ABBA overcame all fears, doubts and expectations Their return is shocking and his quality is still valid
"Don't shut me down"
it's another surprise from ABBA
A pop song was expected, but there were reservations and fears for what it could be (and here I include doubts to the voices of the girls due to their age) And we find a magnificent work
The beginning is with Agnetha's voice attacking with the pleasant company of the piano. What Agnetha does in that introduction is anthology, exquisite modulating and using different nuances with her mature voice.
Until Benny's signature piano glint (nod to the mega hit "Dancing Queen") and ABBA's typical pop song is with us, with the fans, because the lyrics speak to us.
and Agnetha assumes that decoding of almost four decades and gives us her beautiful voice as the strings grow and lead to a memorable chorus with Frida reliving the historic third voice of ABBA
But it doesn't end there, the second part adds hooks and a xylophone is added to the bells (a nod to the marimba in "Mamma Mía"), and the pre-chorus has more force with Agnetha and Frida and the violins anticipate the elevation to a chorus triumphant final anthology reminiscent of his greatest hits
And it ends with a soft and sweet Agnetha voice and piano melody (nod to "Thank you for the music")
Thank for your great reaction
and for Your respect to ABBA music
now we have a brand new album Voyage that is a worldwide success
see in next ABBA vídeo
GOD bless You
Its amazing..i played it 50 times now....its so rich ....superrr

Wow, with these new songs ABBA touches the souls and hearts of people around the world - and not only of the baby boomer generation which grew up with their songs in 70s and early 80s (but maybe they feel a little bit more touched). Es que me gustan todas las canciones de ABBA! Que maravilla de grupo. Forman parte de la banda sonora de mi vida... Gracias por reaccionar a ellos.
Abba forever
Loved the song. Great reaction !!! You're stunning as always !!! 🥰💕🌹
ABBA ABBA ABBA ABBA forever.......
Can you imagine when they release their new album??? EVERYONE is going to buy it!! Me for sure!
🧡 ABBA !
PLATINUM
There are already deejays remixing this song making extended dance versions.
ABBA are the finest band to grace our ears
Simply fantastic and finally I want to dance and live again 😊
first time in years I can listen to a NEW song thats actually GREAT.
I've never seen so many smiles since they came back.
These 4 are the 4 fantastic!!!!
PS The next time someone looks lost & confused about what exactly it is that ABBA have done here, & what they’ll be doing next, I’ll just point them in your direction, & “Job’s A Good ‘Un!!!” 🤓 Easy-Peasy, no? 😉 lol 😂🤣😂 (Heck, I might even quote your comment as an introduction to this video on my Facebook Page, with your permission, & give you the full credit you deserve for your Crystal-Clear & very touching words!!! 🥰
Wonderful song. Thanks for reacting to it. LOVE the harmonies!
ABBA are timeless...one of a kind 💕
Even though the Abbatar concept and concert is going to be ground breaking and historical, what would truly be the icing on the cake would be if the current ABBA, in their seventies, would at least come out and take a bow the way they are now to end the show. Because an hour and a half of pre-recorded modern technology can never really replace the heart and soul of the group themselves. We love The Rolling Stones in their old age. We would certainly embrace ABBA too just as they are.
The track is so damn silky. It's gorgeous.
OK. They're back. So nice for them and for us. This shows it's never too late.
Can't help getting emotional on ABBA return and
their honest story.
The song is like the 80s Abba ... I'm diggin' it so much ...
I still have faith in you is such a beautiful and emotional song we’d love your reaction to that song. The girls voices are still fantastic at 76 years of age.
aga 71
As of today ages are Agnetha 72, Frida 76, Bjorn 77, Benny 75. Today: July 2022. Frida turns 77 in November and Benny turns 76 in December.
Beautiful!
Grandisima canción. Es una inmensa alegría su vuelta. Las sonrisas han regresado a este mundo. Un saludo desde Barcelona
I love ABBA..🙏
I think you're going to listen to this song many times over...it Really grows on you....lol. Coach Hoot
Thanks.
I AM CRYING .... oF LUCK
This second song specially is so classic Abba, how can you not smile after hearing this and the ladies sound great.

The antidote I've been waiting for!! 💙
What a brilliant record ♥
5:41 Classic Benny Andersson sound going down the scale.
