    For my mini doxie girl, they only need a half a scoop. We get the smaller tub so we don’t waste product. They don’t mind this sprinkled over their raw food at all. I still brush there teeth but I have noticed that the plaque build up brushes off more easily. I definitely think this product work. Prior to my current pups I had a Shih-Tzu mix who had to have all his teeth removed at 10, so when I got these girls oral hygiene was very important to me. Super happy to add this product to our regimen! Thanks for the detailed info.

    My main issue with this is the price. I've seen anywhere from £27 to £40 for just 180g! There's nothing special in the ingredients to justify that price, so I'd recommend just buying the seaweed/kelp powder by itself. Gold Label sells the exact same type (Ascophyllum Nodosum) at £10.99 for 500g, or around the same price for 2kg if you buy the version sold for horses (literally the exact same stuff).

    Will this product make my dogs IBD worse?? She is a maltipoo 5yrs with IBD and starting allergies. I like and believe in homeopathic/ holistic care. Please advise, if i should administer this to my dog???

    I've used this on my dog religiously since she was a pup, she is now 14 and her teeth are in a state. She has to have them cleaned (some removed) under gen anaesthetic soon. I don't know if her teeth would be worse without having used plaqueoff or if it's just done sweet fa all these years.

      Hi, thanks for your comment. I totally agree, Plaque Off powders are certainly not a guarantee for good dental health, although I do believe they help. Did you feed you pup dry or wet food throughout their life, as perhaps this would have made a difference?

      Thanks for your response. She's always had a mixture of both.

    My dogs avoid their food whenever I sprinkle it on. They hate anything with a fishy or algae smell.
    And I simply don’t get how it can work.

    are dental sticks really good for dogs? They contain so much starch/carbs, which causes plaque build up

    • @DavidJones-pv8zz
      @DavidJones-pv8zz 10 місяців тому +1

      i found this, is this real? "Your dog’s mouth is in balance when it is acidic (low pH.) That acidity helps kill bacteria and pathogens. The starch found in kibble, however, increases the pH of your dog’s mouth, which reduces the acidity. Bad bacteria flourishes in this environment. Not only does starch cling to your dog’s teeth, creating the ideal environment for bacteria to feed off of, but high pH levels mean the bacteria can’t be killed off."

      Hi David, many thanks for your comment. Dental sticks have both their benefits and drawbacks for our pets dental health. If you choose a dental stick with natural ingredients than they can be beneficial for your dogs dental health. For more info on choosing a dental stick please see the following review on my website ablepaws.co.uk/the-benefits-of-dental-chews-toys-for-your-dogs-teeth/
      Many thanks

      @@AblePaws Hi Jason, great article...unfortunately in drawbacks of dental treats: there is no mention that most of the dental treats are highly processed with really low quality ingredients/synthetic ingredients, they are loaded with carbs that cause inflammation and promote plaque buildup...this video talks about drawbacks of dental treats ua-cam.com/video/apNF0BggWYk/v-deo.html

      @@DavidJones-pv8zz That's a great observation. Like most things, dental treats have both advantages and disadvantages. However, I do agree that they can provide significant benefits for maintaining good dental health. What are your thoughts on this?

    Bully sticks work.large ones. Hold onto it and move around teeth. Toss away when small. Choking hazard
