I agree with Craftycracker. I am 61 years old, a hs teacher, and have 15 years in the RC field. Average Joe Nitro....you have knocked the ball out of the park with your video. It is the best I have EVER seen on youtube...on how to tune nitro engines. :0) I pass the info onto my students here in Arkansas...where we love RC racing vehicles.
This was a great tuning video, most people don’t really know how to tune correctly and then put the information out in tutorials showing people to do it the wrong way.
Props man, this is one of the best post break-in tuning vids I've seen. It seems like nobody actually know how they are tuning. They say they will show you how, then turn a few screws and presto it's tuned and you sit there scratching your head thinking, "what did I miss?"
I recently purchased about 10 nitros for dirt cheap and I have minimal experience and you have helped me get started. You are very specific and you show everything you do on camera! Thank you a lot!

I have an old T-Maxx 2.5 that hasn't been started in for ever. Last time I tried, I couldn't get it running, and that was quite a few years ago. Thankfully, I was smart enough to at least spray some WD-40 in it that day when I gave up. My son is 13 now, and interested in it, so I figured time to get it up and running again, but for the life of me, I couldn't remember the process for tuning it. Thanks for your video. You presented all the right information, clearly, and gave a great demonstration not only of what to do, but of the way the engine should respond when you are making the right adjustments. Totally agree man, well explained for a average Joe like myself. I was ready to either sell my redcat monsoon or trash it until I just watched this video
Thank god someone has the low speed needle on the right side of the carb, Ive got a modern FTX Zorro with .18 engine and the low speed needle is on the end of the sliding throttle valve but I have also got an old thunder tiger ST1 with a .28 engine and the low speed needle is on the other side of the throttle body like yours, now I can identifiy it I can stop the wheels spinning when its idling, great video thanks.
I have the Kyosho FO-XX with the same engine, and the break-in process was so incredibly painful. At times it just would not start at all. Thanks for the video! The KE25 does sound gnarly though.
Hello I don't know if your still active with nitro and UA-cam but I just wanted to thank you. I am well was new to this hobby with UA-cam being my only way to learn other than trial and error and as soon as I got rid of the temp gun and started using 1-2 hr increments my cars are really moving. I only wish I had seen this video sooner. Anyhow thanks a million.
New to this engine..and is totally different from the Traxxas 3.3 as far as needle settings and idle speed goes..😮..I have the same rig.same engine..thanks this is very helpful information
Great tutorial! I just bought the new Inferno ST 3.0 RTR with the same engine. I love the truck. Added a little bit of Losi 35w to the big bore shocks and smooth as silk with lots of travel. The engine I have is a little tricky to start when cold but after about 1/2 tank of fuel, hold on. Please Be Careful!! with cheap batteries (especially for the car) set the fail safe, I had my car run away on me twice thank god no big crash.
Factory settings are for break-in reference only. Once you've gone thru 5 tanks of fuel, then you proceed to tune. Then again after you've gone through about 1/2 a gallon. The car will suddenly run rich, needing tuned once again. I say this only because you mentioned several times the factory settings your car wouldn't run. Glow plug, nitro % and ambient temperature have a huge role in tuning. Great video, remember to always get your engine to maximum operating temperature before making any adjustments. 1hr increments high speed 1/2hr increments on low speed. Return your piston to bottom of it's stroke when not running, your ABC sleeve and aluminum piston will last 100 times longer. Cody King has a good video with your pinch test tuning tip.
+Michael Drum Yeah, I say that because every nitro engine I have ever owned besides this one will at least engage the clutch at factory settings. I expect a factory needle setting to be at least proper enough to begin tuning from but this thing is much different! The Novarossi engine I just got is the same as every other engine I have had..the factory needle settings will run... But run rich... This one will barely even start at their factory settings.... And yes you are correct environmental factors play a huge role in these small sensitive engines.
+Michael Drum After making this video I figured people were going to misinterpret what I meant by referencing factory settings. I am not the best at articulating things lol. Thanks for the input!
Average Joe Nitro I'm watching the novarossi video now. On the novarossi, once running 1.5hr lean on the low speed and bump the idle up. It's doable from factory, running 25% nitro 11% oil with a medium plug. I'm only responding because the idle isn't laying down instantly on this video....Just some constructive criticism man...Good video, not taking anything away from that. Better then 90% of the pro's videos....
Average Joe Nitro you did a great job, only thing id mention is this would be waaaaay after breakin period...Props to doing what you do to help people. Like I said, better then 90% of the pro's supposedly helping people getting into this hobby/sport/money pit.
Michael Drum Yeah, I have responded to others about that very thing about the idle. I usually take more time to lean out the LSN a bit more to get the idle to lay down instantly but the video was already so long that I really couldn't go into a super fine tuning deal. My werks clutch videos show a much better tuned engine. I in no way am saying that this engine is tuned to its best by any means. Just trying to show a simple way to get a good baseline tune. I appreciate the compliment! I understand what you are saying.
Hey man i was thinking and remember that depending on where you live altitude, temperature and many other things will change so maybe those factory setting are good for where the nitro r/c was originally made in. By the way. Keep posting more videos! you are good at this. You explain everything so easy and like many people say, you make it look so clear and easy. Don't give up.
Also the settings might be really rich so that you can break in your engine. I have an Hpi Trophy Truggy 4.6 and the manual says the settings are set rich for breaking procedure.
Awesome work man!! I may be trading some stuff for a tmax 3.3 tomorrow at my local rc store and this video gave me tons of confidence to be able to tune it right! Thanks man.
Thank you for this video , was very helpful and it all makes since. Great to see and hear it from start to finish get better and better. I just got a used Tmaxx and getting it tuned in. Thanks again!
Great video man,You showed me how to tune my Reds racing team editions engine to a perfect tune Thanks ! I had a ton of issues tuning this engine till I watched this video.
Great video, dug out my 15 year old Associated RC10gt nitro and could not remember a thing about the carb settings, its a smaller car but your tips helped a ton thank you.
very nice easy to understand steps and to practice, for us starters, only wish some of the video would have been more clear at the time of needle adjustment, but thank you much for taking the time to share your knowledge
ahhh found your video again ! thanks i was so confused on how to turn my needles until u said "hours" lol now my nitro is tuned well thanks for the video !!!
+triipiix187 I would check your fuel system. It's usually an air leak in either the fuel line, where they connect to the tank / carb, a hole in the line, or the fuel tank lid isn't sealing off completely. You can always prime it by taking the fuel line off where it connects to your pipe and blow in the fuel line and watch for it to enter your carb. Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes!
I got a few needle settings q n a cuz wen I pinch test, it idles up n won't die, I got an inferno w a piccohead on n it flys, but I'll give u my no. So u can see hear. Thank you u have helped me a lot so far.
+Maria Maniscalco Sound like you may just need to lean out the LSN more. There could be other reasons but I would start there. Turn it clockwise and keep trying the pinch test. Let me know if you are still having trouble.
Hey thanks for the info, I was about to give up. It's been 12 years since I ran my cars, got real rusty. Here in Boston it was 100 and real humid, the car ripped with the head not too hot to touch. I think I got to get a temp gauge. Anyway, thanks for the great vids man,.
+Maria Maniscalco You are very welcome! I will hopefully have more to come in the not so distant future. My home was hit by lightning and blew both of my computers so I can't upload videos unless I just do unedited ones through my phone. Glad the videos were of help to you!
Oh, and I've been holding out to do this vid because I wanted to show that same engine in it (I never want folks to think it's the quality of the engines). Those just rip in a special way, but any nitro engine can rip. I had one of those .25's actually, but traded it for something too good to pass up. So...tired of waiting, temps are cooling (which is good for us here) so going to pull the chord on this bad boy vid: I'm probably going to show three engines: OS25XZ (~2 gallons, ready to drop) Novarossi Roma .25 (NIB) Alpha Lutz Worlds Edition: (~4 gallons on it. Really starting to rip, BUT probably needs some maintenance). I think showing how I approach these three conditions (as it's different) would help some folks. When I get to hear you employ my technique on the .25 then it's beautiful because I get to hear it as I would run it. I'll def be getting one. Has it served you well?
+Nitro RCNerds Yeah it's been a great RTR engine! Best engine I've had on a RTR hands down! It's got 9 gallons on it and it's starting to get tired now.
Nitro RCNerds I have a new engine I recently got and it's bad to the bone. It's a modified Novarossi Rex Legend 28-8. I've got it in my Losi LST XXL 2 MT.
Well, let me start off by saying, great video and detailed explanation, it is a big help for all of us that are trying to get into Nitro. I have been into the R/C Hobby & World since 1986, I have always bought electric R/C Cars, Buggies, and Trucks. I have had issues with tuning and getting the necessary settings right when I would buy Nitro R/C's........I really want to get into the Nitro scene. I have been looking at, and researching a few nitro trucks for about a year now........the 1/8 Kyosho Inferno NEO ST Race Spec RTR and the 1/8 Kyosho Mad Force Kruiser 2.0 MT RTR. I have been a Towerhobbies customer for at least 17 years now, its the only place to buy anything R/C in my opinion.......they cant be beatin in price, etc! I mean where else could you go locally or online that offers 3 Easy Pay Payments on R/C Vehicles, etc!. :))
Thanks for this video man. I'm looking to get into nitro stuff, coming from a small engine background these tiny motors are very close to tuning any two stroke motor, chainsaw, weed eater etc. You confirmed this for me:)
+Chris Hession No problem! Yes they are indeed very similar to small engine two strokes. They can be a lot of fun when everything is dialed in but can also be a real pain at times lol. That's just engines in general though. Good luck!
+J Ma It shuts off the fuel going into the carb and when the LSN is set correctly it will burn up the fuel that was metered by the LSN when it came in from the pass. The LSN still meters the fuel that comes in through the HSN. Think of it like a garden hose. The HSN is the water valve on the house. The nozzle on the end of the hose that you spray with is the LSN. It controls the fuel when you are idling and up through mid throttle.
Thanks for the info brother, I just bought my first HSP nitro truck and having issues breaking it in. Subbed you brother.. Greetings from western Australia
@ 14:00, you said you can hear the engine trying to cut out. I don't hear the difference. What do you actually look for? I'm really lost on this part. Thanks
+J Ma If you listen closely to the pass right before I say that you can hear the engine literally cut out on RPMs. It was starved for fuel because it was too lean on the HSN so the engine basically cutout. That is what I was referring to. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching!
You might have covered this, but if you listen at 20:14 where you state the idle is settling down, I;'m not sure what the goal was...I still owe you my video, but I can tell you I learned to tune by reading the idle (iit actually tells me everything about the tune). I'm pretty sure the LSN was quite rich here because the idle two-staged. Either that, or your HSN was lean and the ballistic RPMs were carrying, making it sound like a 2-stage (I really can't tell from the one or two examples)....but I can tell you what I would suggest starting at 20:14 is lean the LSN. Do some hard passes until the idle does not settle down for at least 10 seconds...then close that idle gap to about ~.05 mm. Often when I tune, the engine sounds like crap overall, until the final 1-2 steps then it all comes together like magic. I'm also looking for someone to test out my tuning guide (which I'm selling) but those who help prove it out I'm giving it away to. Let me know if you are interested. Please keep posting running/tuning vids! We need more examples from people.
+Nitro RCNerds Yeah, I'm fairly sure that it was a fat LSN because I usually tune it to where the idle stalls out on the pinch test a bit sooner but was needing to end the video because of length concerns. It takes me forever to upload long videos. Lately I will set my LSN and will continue to lean it out along with a preset carb gap of . 5mm until the two stage idle goes away. I've also tried the method where you run a WOT pass and stop the kit abruptly and let it sit for a good 5 seconds or so and then stab the throttle and look for smoke signs to whether it's lean or rich. As I've stated before I would be interested in the guide you are putting together. I plan on getting a buggy for my next RC (looking at the Tekno buggy) I am planning on going with either a Novarossi Paloma or an Alpha Engine. It would be cool to try the guide out that you have when I get the new buggy. Will more than likely be a couple of months or so before that happens though. What .21 class engine would you recommend?
i will recommend the Novarossi Virtus, Novarossi Bonito 7xlbs, then you have the Reds engine.RB's. I am shooked over how brutal the Virtus is. It's the meanest buggy engine i have tried and own and it will also kick ass in a truggy. If you want a brutal fast and strong engine from low, mid. to a Incredible top end With a 9886pipe and a 41019 or a 41001 manifold, maybe the last one 41001 would be better so you have a overall strong and fast engine. I use the 41019 manifold cause mine is modifyed and hits 60 mph in a couple of Seconds if you gear it up from Stock and 2 T more on the clutchclock.
damn good video. Gonna try doing some more tuning on my rc10gt ae engines. They seems to like to run a bit hot, but love your video. I have a testy mugen mbx5 with a road engine that needs tuned. Gonna use this!
+andrew richey Awesome! I have eyeballed the Mad Force Kruiser for a while myself lol. Looks like a slick truck! Love the old body style that it comes with! Have a great day!
Just wish I could find someone like you to tune the trucks and car for grandson and me. I would gladly hold the camera so you didn't have to do both :)
I have a HPI Bullet nitro and sometimes I'm having a hard time prime the engine with fuel. Looking at the fuel line it does not suck fuel into the carb. What could be wrong? Thanks for a good video, I will have to go through this process of tuning it.
+Average Joe Nitro Make sure your fuel door is sealing good. Also make sure that your exhaust gaskets are in place correctly and have no heat related damage.
I have a few of these engines on the way. I'm looking forward to checking it out. Regariding stock settings....remember to pull the carb slide all the way out when you screw the LSN to all the way in. Also, factory settings are typically meant to be rich. it's used for break-in a re-tune. I don't think it's meant for optimal or "recommended" purposes' Some real quick tips: I look forward to putting my vid together as it will be a completely new way to tune (it's very different than what you are doing here.) No temps, no pinch test, we raise the idle while tuning the HSN, etc etc. Not saying any of that is harmful, just not what I execute. In my mind tune is a state, i/e/ there are no variances of it. The good news is this engine is not tuned. I CAN'T to see you truly tune i though ;'-)
+Nitro RCNerds Yeah, these carbs are a bit different on the LSN. They are on the opposite side of the slide than the other engines I've had. I haven't had this one broken down yet but I noticed that in the exploded view it is actually compensated with a spring on the other side of the carb. You should check out my video on the Werks clutch I just slapped on this Truggy. It's (imo at least) tuned about as good as it's going to get. Let me know when you see that video if you think better power can be achieved or not. With regards to stock settings, I expect a stock setting to run well enough to start dialing a tune in from there. I have never had a manual tell me a stock (break in) setting that will barely even run lol. Looking forward to seeing you what you have put together! See you around!
For sure, I'll check out the vid with that Werks clutch.....big fan of Werks, I have quite a few of thier products (engines, pipes, speed clutch, etc.) We'll have to agree to disagree on what a stock setting represents. I can only speak to the brand/makes I own, (Novaroissi, HPI, Werks, O.S,, Alpha, Losi, Hobao,, Orion, and REDS). I feel like I'm mssing a few, but my pernt is on 100% of those engines "stock" is what comes out of the box. It's intended to be nothing more than a safe way to start the engine and begin the tuning process. On many of them, you have to tweak a bit (lean out to keep it running) but stock is not intended to be a tuned engine (at least for those makes). In fact, most don't even have a "stock setting". Flush/flush is where you set it to retune. Thus when I 're-tune' the engine I put it back to stock. Of course, can't speak for Kyosho, unsure of what they consider, stock....BUT I would question how they can recommend a 'needle setting that guarantees anything other than the ability to start it. Okay, this is a loooooong -winded way of stating to me, stock is a myth. It doesn't exist. But for sure will check out the Werks clutch, and will no doubt put it down concerning the approach I take to tuning. Just keep an open mind and willing to do some things completely different than what you've always been told. try it out and then see whatrs up. ;-)
+Nitro RCNerds Yeah, I see what you are saying. I am basically meaning the way the manuals for the engines I have owned usually say that the engine is set at "factory break in settings" out of the box and shouldn't be touched unless having trouble keeping it running. This engine when set at those "factory settings" won't even hardly engage the clutch lol! Anyways I just thought it was rather odd that it ran that sluggish even set to a "factory break in setting" considering that every other engine I have ever owned would at least run at a very rich state where as this one is barely able to get started at those "factory" settings. Thanks for the input man! I thoroughly enjoy talking RC with you! I'm really looking forward to seeing what you put together on tuning! Have a good one!
Very good, informative tuning! Thanks for the video. I just got my Kyosho FW06 On Road touring car. I need to get me a thermometer to get some readings. What is a good thermometer to check engine temps in the South? Like Texas?
i used to tune by the temp gauge and that hasnt been working for me im gonna try your method of tuning its really simple and i can see that it works great video by the way
Thanks Dustin! Every temp gun I have ever used gives a false reading. If you are concerned on the engine overheating then I would just recommend the "spit test" or sprinkle water on the top of the cooling head. It needs to sit there for a few seconds before evaporating. If you spit or sprinkle water on the top and it immediately boils off then you are too hot and need to richen the engine immediately. Most of the time if you have the engine tuned to where it sounds good and not all high pitched (lean) sounding with that thin trail of blue smoke you should be OK. A lot of times these temp guns will tell you that you are running way hotter than you actually are. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching!
Hiya i bought a habao hyper 7 28 3 port 2016 model any thoughts on how well they go i think ive tuned it right after breaking it in thanks to this video but just to see if you have ever used one before thanks for video
+Dave Hart I've never had a Hyper 7 so I can't speak from experience but I have seen good things about them on UA-cam and forums etc... They seem like a pretty solid choice for a RTR nitro buggy.
good info, what do you consider a above average motor , I have an ofna that I couldnt tune, changed motor to hpi, still same problem, finally found problem, top of fuel tank where spring loaded cap is, one side wasnt closing all the way, fixed that and wow , all that learning bout tuning came finally paid off, like u said dont give up, but no matter what I did I couldnt get it right until problem was found, thanks for your vid, good stuff
+therooster Bertelsen Glad to hear that you found the problem! All it takes is for one thing to be off and the engine won't run right. Nitro is very unforgiving but that's what makes it fun! :) That's exactly why it feels so good when you get that engine running in tune! A few engines that I would consider good engines that are above average are Novarossi engines, O.S. engines, and a lot of people swear by LRP. The LRP line of engines are known for tons of torque and are best suited for 1/8th scale Truggies and Monster Trucks. If you have a look at my channel you will see a new 1/8th scale Monster Truck i just got and will more than likely be getting either a LRP. 32 or a OS. 30 to go in it once I decide to take out the gas engine. Have a great day! Thanks for watching!
Brother thank you very much for your videos are very helpful, I have a kyosho too but I can not work at the correct temperature even if it is past fuel and I suspect it is the spark plug. I want to know which spark plug number you are using in yours (thanks)👍

Just getting my Nitro's running again after a few years off. This is really going to help. Awesome.
Very good video Joe thank you for making it.I been doing nitro for 15 years and its great see other people methods of tuning.
Thanks, average joe nitro. This video is sweet and simple. Not too much info and not too little. Has helped me out, thanks
Thank you very much finally a video we all can understand easy 😂👍😊😊😊
Totally agree man, well explained for a average Joe like myself. I was ready to either sell my redcat monsoon or trash it until I just watched this video

Excellent video! To the point and very accurate. My engine was tuned in less than 5 minutes! Thanks!!!
Good guidelines for my Kyosho KE15sp. Great video. No nonsense and straight to the point. I have to keep coming back since I mess up my LSN settings.
Could be the best nitro tune video. Thanks mate
This is the best nitro engine tuning video I’ve seen on UA-cam thanks for the way you explained everything you made it very simple to understand 👍👍
Thank you this help me out. I recently just stole a bunch of RC nitro cars and now I learned how to tune it.. thanks man.
Lol
Thanks, man just getting into nitro and your vids make me feel better that I won't be such a noob.

Great and simple explanation, thanks for taking the time out to put this together.
Kyosho wants you to break in with a throttle restricted plate. So likely the factory settings are geared toward that.
Finally someone who doesn’t over complicate it
Awesome work man!! I may be trading some stuff for a tmax 3.3 tomorrow at my local rc store and this video gave me tons of confidence to be able to tune it right! Thanks man.
Thank you one of the best videos I have seen.
+Rachel catone That's great to hear! Glad I was able to help you get your nitro screaming! Have a good one and thanks for watching!
just turned my kyosho mad force Nitro truck using your video thanks
+Jay Daws Great! Glad to hear that it was helpful to you!
Great video, dug out my 15 year old Associated RC10gt nitro and could not remember a thing about the carb settings, its a smaller car but your tips helped a ton thank you.
+Alex Darger Good deal! Glad I was able to help! Nitro is a lot of fun once you get past the tuning learning curve! Have a good one!
very nice easy to understand steps and to practice, for us starters, only wish some of the video would have been more clear at the time of needle adjustment, but thank you much for taking the time to share your knowledge
+purrungas2012 Thanks!
Most informative video on the whole internet. I subbed.
+Homebrand Bleach Thank you very much for the kind words! I really do appreciate that! Have a good one!
thank you! Im having a lot of troubles now but your video helped me a lot!
Most productive video I've seen. Thank you
Very nice AJN! Helped me a ton! Thanks a mill!
+James B (203Killa) No problem! Glad it helped you out!
My steering turns left right slightly it has no power to turn all the way. I put in 4 brand new batterys too from 99cent store.
ahhh found your video again ! thanks i was so confused on how to turn my needles until u said "hours" lol now my nitro is tuned well thanks for the video !!!
+triipiix187 Good deal! Glad the video helped you out! Have a good one!
one more thing..i have an sh 18 engine but it wont suck in any fuel ..any clues ?
+triipiix187 I would check your fuel system. It's usually an air leak in either the fuel line, where they connect to the tank / carb, a hole in the line, or the fuel tank lid isn't sealing off completely. You can always prime it by taking the fuel line off where it connects to your pipe and blow in the fuel line and watch for it to enter your carb. Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes!
Average Joe Nitro thanks for the reply ! i will do it when i switch engine again
Thank you
fantastic video mate had lots of tips and great information I enjoyed watching your video great for starters in RC nitro world.
+Trav Thanks a lot!
simple & visual. great video. you didn't over complicate things.👍
Just bought an inferno buggy... broke it in but don’t know how to tune it but you helped me thanks
Best tuning video out there. Thanks
Oh, and I've been holding out to do this vid because I wanted to show that same engine in it (I never want folks to think it's the quality of the engines). Those just rip in a special way, but any nitro engine can rip. I had one of those .25's actually, but traded it for something too good to pass up.
So...tired of waiting, temps are cooling (which is good for us here) so going to pull the chord on this bad boy vid: I'm probably going to show three engines:
OS25XZ (~2 gallons, ready to drop)
Novarossi Roma .25 (NIB)
Alpha Lutz Worlds Edition: (~4 gallons on it.
Thank you man, that was valuable information, presented in an engaging way. You rock!
Glad it was helpful!
This help run my gt2 after 31/2hrs of bashing not issues thx for the info
+Stanley Mercer I love tower easy pay! Lol can't beat it! Interest free too! Thanks for watching and subbing!
+Stanley Mercer You should go check out my new Losi Monster Truck videos I have been putting up recently! I love it!
I definitely will here in a few minutes.
your welcome. gotta love easy pay. and I usually go by Stan.
Good video. Factory settings are rich for break in and/or for reestablishing a starting point if you lose count of turns on the needles.
Best tuning advice out there, thanks tons
Thanks for this video man. I'm looking to get into nitro stuff, coming from a small engine background these tiny motors are very close to tuning any two stroke motor, chainsaw, weed eater etc. You confirmed this for me:)
+Chris Hession No problem! Yes they are indeed very similar to small engine two strokes. They can be a lot of fun when everything is dialed in but can also be a real pain at times lol. That's just engines in general though. Good luck!
Look forward to trying these tips out as I’m having real problems tuning my HPI Savage x 4.6.
hey man how many turns out s your idle screw
Excellent video - Definitely better than an Average Joe. LEGEND cheers MATE !!!!
best vid iv seen on this topic
thanks for posting, this was very informative. my 1st nitro rig should be showing up soon and i'm really looking forward to getting my feet wet.
Nice job with this video. You did a great job explaining this process. Thanks!
👌 tune video Joe
lots of detail on this video, since I'm new to the model industry, especially on the nitro cars
@ 16:00, you pinch the fuel line that goes into the carburetor at the HSN. Why does this method works for determining the correct setting for LSN?
+J Ma It shuts off the fuel going into the carb and when the LSN is set correctly it will burn up the fuel that was metered by the LSN when it came in from the pass. The LSN still meters the fuel that comes in through the HSN. Think of it like a garden hose. The HSN is the water valve on the house. The nozzle on the end of the hose that you spray with is the LSN. It controls the fuel when you are idling and up through mid throttle.
Thanks sir.. New to the nitro.. Subscribed and hopefully your videos will save me frustration😎😎
Thanks for the info brother, I just bought my first HSP nitro truck and having issues breaking it in. Subbed you brother.. Greetings from western Australia
There needs to be more people like him
Awesome job explaining 👍👍👍
Appreciate the video I’ve been in it for along time. But got out of it. For. Min I’ve had 20 plus. Nitros
easy tuning , good glowplug is also important for stable idle .
thank you for this video. very helpful! 👍
+charlie b No problem! Glad you liked it!
Probably the best tuning video out there! Thanks so much. Breakin in my new rtr inferno tki4 tomorrow. This is gonna be very helpful!
Best video so far thanks a lot bro appreciate it
Sweet, thanks man! Great info, appreciate it a lot!
J Ma nnv
Awesome video a lot of great information and tips great job thumbs up!!!
+MRBRUSHLESS Thanks you very much! I enjoy watching your videos as well!
Fantastic vid, thanks Joe!
Excellent video, very through!!! Very helpful!!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻✌🏻
Thanks!! Excellent video
Best tuning video.. you got a new sub here..
Tks I have a lot to learn really good video tks. I have a 4.6 Savage
damn good video. Gonna try doing some more tuning on my rc10gt ae engines. They seems to like to run a bit hot, but love your video. I have a testy mugen mbx5 with a road engine that needs tuned. Gonna use this!
+airbats801 Thanks! Glad it helped you out!
I have the Mad Force, KE 25,and I love it.
+andrew richey Awesome! I have eyeballed the Mad Force Kruiser for a while myself lol. Looks like a slick truck! Love the old body style that it comes with! Have a great day!
Explained it very well
Bro would you recommend a small spray of wd40 for an after run oil substitution?
Not a good idea. Use transmission fluid instead or marvel mystery oil.
Perfection
Just wish I could find someone like you to tune the trucks and car for grandson and me. I would gladly hold the camera so you didn't have to do both :)
+Lance McGrew Lol I hear ya!
I have a HPI Bullet nitro and sometimes I'm having a hard time prime the engine with fuel. Looking at the fuel line it does not suck fuel into the carb. What could be wrong? Thanks for a good video, I will have to go through this process of tuning it.
+bigsweden1975 sounds like either a fuel tank leak or could also be a bad exhaust gasket. Either one of those will cause that problem
I don't think it's meant for optimal or "recommended" purposes' Some real quick tips:
I look forward to putting my vid together as it will be a completely new way to tune (it's very different than what you are doing here.) No temps, no pinch test, we raise the idle while tuning the HSN, etc etc.
How many mins for full tank? Im newbie
Great video! 👍
I want to know which spark plug number you are using in yours (thanks)👍
great video man!
+赵桐 Thanks!
Nice video man. Thank you.
Great video sir one question when i turn high speed clockwise it up ideals up and starts spitting fuel any help
Great help. I have a question: how do you put a nah battery pack in that truggy ?
