I have watched every single tuning video on UA-cam and now 2 years of my own tuning I see finally I see how to tune and wow what a adventure. 🤭 Your high speed needle went about 3 hours to lean and the idle gap and low needle needed to be shrunk smaller of a gap and maybe a bit leaner on the low end. Over all it runs and it’s fun that’s all that matters🤘😊
@@johnedwardroxas7939 usually HSN needle, its starving fuel in high revs. Also add a bit more, like a 1/8 turn to LSN. Mine is always HSN, can't lean it too much, it likes lots of fuel
whats your opinion on the trx3.3 engine for tuning, feels like no matter what i do it over heats i end up running to rich to try and cool it down and then runs to rich/sluggish 🤔
I have no experience with Traxxas nitro's, but have read a lot on forums that the Traxxas engines like to run hotter than others. I believe the manual states 270F. Also depends on the air temp you are running in. Maybe try a colder plug and make sure there is good airflow to the engine. Good luck!
Traxxas engines are not high dollar racing engines like a picco.....they're a budget engine with basic break in steps....racing engines take longer to break in and get tuned perfectly.....watch Adam Drakes breaking procedure on a new nitro...it helped my 3.3 a lot but it ain't race worthy just park or yard running...bout it
No. But you could always just listen to the car and tune if it sounds off. If you get into more technical tuning, you even tune according to the weather.
Correct yes. Just think of turning in a screw into a hole. The deeper it goes in, the less space there is, so the less fuel can go through. The more you undo it, the more space and the more fuel.
I suspect you are either running too lean or too rich on your high speed needle. Does the car idle good but dies when applying throttle? If so, reset your high speed needle to default for the engine. Start and idle the car and then start by leaning it out again and recheck if it dies when applying throttle. If it does, richen it a tad and recheck until you get to the sweet spot between applying hard throttle and gentle throttle. Good luck!
@@MzanziRC see the problem is no matter what position the needle is after adding throttle it chokes and dies or stays, depends how fast i let go of the throttle
@@thinuswilken2179 could be but easier to check and rule out the firs two i guess. 👍 Just pop over to google. There are tons of info on how to check if the clutch is fubar.
This is one of the worst “tuning” videos I’ve ever seen, if you can even call that tuning… firstly set your idle than low speed (not high speed like said in the video) your car is not going to run at low throttle if that isn’t tuned first lol 😂
‼️ Thanks for watching everyone ‼️ Please leave a comment with suggestions for a better tune. Happy RC'ing! 💯

First video where I can hear the diffrence. Nicely done.
Probably the best tuning video for bashers who restore cars I have ever seen #CorporateNitro
This video really helped me tune my rc man! Thank's a lot! I'm looking forward to more nitro rc videos man, I'm subscribing right away👍
With that information, I'm going to the park. Thanks 4 that!👍
Great, easy to follow video.
PS: if the engine starts doing noise like ding-ding-ding-ding (pinging noise) when releasing throttle, it's too lean.
Thanks for the info. 👍
Which needle is lean? the lsn or hsn?

You still have a 2 stage idle, by closing the idle gap you can fix that
Thanks for the info. Will look into it when I take it out again. :)
My engine stops when igniter is removed?
I had the same issue. Changed the glow plug for a new one and sorted. 👍

i have a very big problem because my car at this high settings just dies after tapping the throttle or gently applying it, any idea why this happens?

i think its lsn needle fault but when its too rich car just goes insane and when too lean it dies

good tune!
