- Welcome back to another Wednesday vlog! So...I deleted my twitter account after almost 15 years. Honestly I just have not enjoyed it at all for the past few years and I'd rather focus on places like UA-cam, Instagram and TikTok where i have built a great community of love and support. Hey Daniel. I’ve loved your content since you started this channel. I think you are incredibly creative and have a big heart. Something about this video felt off though. I dunno. Might be just me, but the ‘ I don’t need to comment on other creators…’ line felt weird. I get that the whole situation about a friend of yours right now may be extremely uncomfy to say the least, but it comes off as hypocritical when there was plenty to say about another certain creator who you called out directly. The difference is: that situation affected and hurt you. What this creator, that you are affiliated with, did affects young and impressionable fans. Correct. A situation that was a direct attack created by another person that pertained to me, my work, production company and hundreds of crew members and cast that were all affected. There is no correlation between these topics.

I deleted my twitter account two years ago because I can’t stand all the negativity, toxicity, and drama that takes place on there and I have never looked back! I’m glad you deleted it, it’s much better to surround yourself with good vibes and positivity 🥰

Wow, seeing those vintage glasses brought tears to my eyes. My Mom had those glasses back in the 80s - early 90s. She died from alcoholism a few days before my 15th birthday. I never knew what happened to them, they just sort of disappeared after she died. I’m honestly shook because it brought back so many memories, that I had to watch the vlog twice.

dont blame you at all for deleting twitter, love!! unfortunately i have to use it for my job, but seeing people drag others into drama they arent even apart of or prioritizing small seconds of fame over promoting genuine growth can be extremely exhausting! as much as we think we control our feelings, what we take in can really impact everything. if you see negativity, you breed negativity. love that you're promoting keeping your mental space clean.
It's so nice to see your mother back on there you should have her on more often or even make her a regular.

There is a time in life when one realizes that one doesn't have space for negativity, and it is extremely important to know where the negativity is coming from so that we can separate ourselves from it. Separating from that which harms in any way, shape, or form is important. It is a kindness on oneself, so I am happy that you are taking steps to be happy and healthy and stay that way. We need to be kind with ourselves first so that it later translate into society. 🥰

Ok so serious question, why does anyone have to comment or address someone else's drama? I personally don't think that it's necessary for friends, coworkers, associates, family etc etc to make public statements about other people's issues. It's negative & could cause controversy or tension in their personal lives. We aren't entitled to know every thought & feeling an influencer has. Let's say your best friend or sibling did something bad, wrong or questionable for example. Let's say you felt mortified about it. Let's say you never wanted to speak to them again due to it or maybe you didn't really know how to react. Maybe you're super confused, hurt, heartbroken even. Would you really want to discuss that publicly? I'm just playing devil's advocate here. I know I myself stay away from drama & controversy myself so if I was feeling pressured into discussing it out in the open I'd definitely shut down. I process feelings internally & quietly for the most part. Keep to myself. If I need to share or vent, I on rare occasions may go to a very trusted friend that wouldn't ever judge me & would listen but not post it online. Just my thoughts. Sorry so long.
@@MissUnderstood-yi1zm the trade off with making a living off being in the public eye specifically based off of yourself as personality is that your public is going to ask for some quid pro quo, it's the views and clicks that make the job after all, and your audience want to know the person they are watching is really who they are, and whether it's fair or not, who you associate with, especially your dearest friends, reflect on who you are. We all know Daniel knows what's going on, bacteria on Mars knows what's going on, but when you publicly state how close you are with someone, people take silence as complicity. It's not fair, but again reality isn't fair. Granted I don't think people have to respond to bad faith actors on Twitter, that place is a hellscape and people pile on for sport. Delete away! However, if you keep running from your audience that pays for your life with their views, eventually they stop chasing and thus stop watching.

It is possible to address and condemn someone’s actions without condemning them. You aren’t required to comment on this, but every action or non-action has consequences. By that I mean not saying anything at all will reflect on your reputation online. If that doesn’t matter to you, more power to you lol duck social media. But at least express your concerns directly to your friend, Colleen. That is, assuming you have concerns about her behavior with children.

I feel the same way as you about Twitter. It used to be my favorite app too but now it’s very toxic and filled with the most hateful and annoying people. I think it’s smart for people to leave that site and live in the real world. I haven’t left yet because there’s a couple reasons why I want to stay but it is getting to be too much. I quit Twitter years ago. I was also getting too involved in it and my mental health showed that. I am now 5 years self-harm free tomorrow ironically and through therapy have learned to be more self-loving. Keep being awesome Daniel!

Take a break from Twitter sounds like a good idea. There is a phenomenon known as the online disinhibition effect. Being online lowers people inhibitions and often results in people behaving meaner and it has lead to a hostile online environment. Almost everyone that I follow on UA-cam has had an increase number of hate comments directed at them especially if they are part of the lgbtq2s+ community or are an interabled couple. As one UA-camr said it’s best to ignore them because if you wrestle with a pig you’ll both get dirty and the pig will love it. Enjoy your time in Montana.

Cause people are absolutely absurd and it gets very annoying to be bullied into commenting on a situation that does not involve me, ya know? We were never close personal friends, friendly professionally, sure! I knew her and many OG creators due to the nature of my previous relationship, it was never anything more than surface level.
