I was watching my son in the Ironman World Championship in October 2018. Took a drive across Saddle Rd. to Akatsuka Orchid Nursery. I purchased 2 gift packaged Den.’Fairy Moon’ and Den. ‘Red Emperor Prince’ nobile orchids. In April they were planted in 3” clay pots with lava rock then placed in a cedar orchid slat house outside. They enjoy being in lava rock and grow vibrant roots. Both grew nice canes this summer and are doing very well. They will return outside in April as SE Virginia is cool to cold now. They should bloom in a few years after more pseudobulbs grow. Thank you for culturing such nice nobile type orchids.
