I remember trying them on and feeling like a big strong man, like an action movie star lol. I loved them so much I wore them home, yep, I was a boot boy. One day I noticed the friend I mentioned had on similar-looking yellow boots to mine (same brand, just the outsole was different) and clicked from there lol, like we even picked days we’d wear them together to show our friendship. My first pair of Timberlands were some brown hiking boots from my godfather when I was 12. Sir Timberland goes back to 85’s way before rappers was wearing them. Philly been kicking them back in 84 85 . New York in all do respect was not only people kicking it .
I feel you, Tim’s are a great thing to have on your feet in the east coast. During the winter time, the west coast is basically about their chuck Taylors to go with the khaki pants and the.flannel shirts, and, of course, most people south of the Mason-Dixon line wear white tube, socks, along with the sandals or as they call them, the slides along with a wife beater
Everyone likes the iconic light brown (butter) color timbs but I'll always love the dark brown (hershey chocolates) classic 6 inch timbs as my fav color in them 🤎

I got mines from Modells on Fordham Rd back in 89
Just bought a Timberland 6” Premium boots and was wondering if it is included in sneaker culture. Your video convinces me my kicks are a dope pickup and a great addition to my modest collection.
Vivek, massive pick up man! One of the most iconic pieces of footwear ever. Appreciate you tuning in brother
More or less, every shoe is in the culture 🤷♂️
What color of timbs you get?
@@rosizzle6498 Black ones
@@vivekvenugopalan8202 cool, i still got my suede chocolate brown ones from last year 🟫
My ppl always making shit fly

The white man shoes got popularized by Rappers in the late 90’s
This reminds me of a episode on boondocks 😭 Riley was ballin in some timbs
The Grinch would definitely wear those boots, fo sho...🤘🏼💯✔️
VASQUE in BIG L's bedroom, and DANNER worn by Prince Po in the snow. For me, these are the boots that represent the 90s.
I’m from south Texas, and now live in south florida, at my job we get free red wing boots every year, I told the person about how I have 4 pairs of timbs and she said she’s been working for red wings boots for 20 years and timbs use cheap quality suade and scraps put together, I can honestly say red wings are more comfortable and better for work , I still wear timbs though
I remember when i was a kid(next month ill be 40 yo) .. And i was listening to hip-hop.. Mostly East Coast and i wanted my own pair of timbs so badly... But it was a Poland i was a poor kid and original timbs was enormuosly expensive and rare for that time...That was i freaky Times 😅
Lord Finesse and the DITC Crew are the first i ever saw wearing Timbs ( chukkas) with shorts in the summer around 1990/ 91 in the Bronx..Before them all ppl wore boots in the winter and NEVER with shorts. They changed the style and everyone else followed.
WRONG WRING WRONG
TIMBS WAS POPULAR IN D.C SINCE HIP HOP STARTED. BUT EVERYONE EVERY WHERE STARTED WEARING THEM IN THE SUMMER 90-91. I BET YOU CAN'T TELL ME WHO WAS THE FIRST THE MENTION TIMBS ON A RECORD
Great history video as always!
Appreciate you Dylan the New Balance King 👑
NAW HE WAS THERE OR KNOW THE REAL HISTORY. AND WHY HE CALL YOU THE NEW BALANCE KING. WHERE I FROM AGAIN
5:05 timberland x supreme new collab is coool
Still have a pair from 2000......wont die😁😁😁
When you see a pair of Timbs in the NBA Dunk contest -> 😮😮 🔥
Gonna be stationed in San Diego, not sure if I should still bring my Timbs.
Another fire video 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you brodie
I LOVE HIP HOP by Steve Irungu Jermaine

Sir Timberland goes back to 85’s way before rappers was wearing them. Philly been kicking them back in 84 85 . New York in all do respect was not only people kicking it .
Not a timbs guy personally, but I respect the heritage and history. Missed your videos guys! Hope you’re doing well
Appreciate that Alexandru!!
Bro shut up, what a corny comment,
I feel you, Tim’s are a great thing to have on your feet in the east coast. During the winter time, the west coast is basically about their chuck Taylors to go with the khaki pants and the.flannel shirts, and, of course, most people south of the Mason-Dixon line wear white tube, socks, along with the sandals or as they call them, the slides along with a wife beater
Everyone likes the iconic light brown (butter) color timbs but I'll always love the dark brown (hershey chocolates) classic 6 inch timbs as my fav color in them 🤎
Can't forget the all black joints too
@@NachoAverageFinds right! Especially in leather...do you have a fav color for timbs?
Everybody and there
Brother had wheat timbs
In Virginia
Back then when I think of timbs I think of jayz and my home town Brooklyn
“ whatever the activity you’ll definitely be styling in a pair of timbs” as I blow manz head off “ damn I look good killing this 🥷 😂😂.
Redman wasn't with Wu-Tang in the 1990s. He collaborate with EPMD, spin-off group Def Squad, K-Solo, and with one Wu-Tang member Method Man. However, wasn't a member of the group.
I come from the time of the cassette 😎.
Old school rappers ❤️ timberland boots 🤔.
😀 GZA, the genius, knock, ghostface killah, method man, and Tupac.
Greetings From Morocco 🇲🇦
If it wasnt for black ppl the sales and styles of Timbs would've been stagnant. When we put our stamp on something we set the trends
Big facts
I disagree. Just like Gucci and Hilfiger didn’t go no where, I doubt timberland would’ve. They just would’ve stuck to their original base. Hip hop embracing timberland definitely a plus tho
I'd love to see an episode on Clarks Wallabees in the future
Where i live, Timberland doesnt sell their products, so i bought a similar boot and called it a day
Dead ass, this was a nice video.
Appreciate you Samson
Keep up the great work boys 🙏
Hey Brian have you guys ever thought about doing a video on the sports brand starter? I see them on all this vintage stuff and I feel like it would go hand in hand with the 80s and 90s focused videos you guys do. Yeah there are a couple vids here and there about the brand but you know we need to hear them from you guys!! Y’all would actually make an interesting video about it unlike these other cats.
Actually that's a great suggestion. I would love to do a video about Starter. I'ma jot that down! Thanks Darien
Fave pairs of TIMBS I ever had. All Black suede and all red suede that I bedazzled w red gems myself. Got too small eventually sold em made a good couple hundred. TIMBS are my fave shoe to fight in lol ion don’t that no more but when I had to baby them Timberlands strengthen your ankle and pack a hard kick. I’ve changed now tho and yes I’m a northerner
I get the feeling you're undefeated when fighting in Timbs haha
Very curious what type of adhesive did you use,, I wonder what the manufacturer use.
Timbo season 🔥🔥🙌 timbs owe dmx the the most
Yessir! Perfect timing
@@NachoAverageFinds salute thank u for non stop content 🥾👟
Or Redman 😀👍
Dmx promoted timbs like how a.i. promoted reebok and how jordan promoted nike 💯
In the south we wore Nikes, we had to run from the police a lot.
Which era is this ?
"Suede Tims on my feet makes my cypher complete..."
They sell them in the penitentury from Union Supply. Thats where I got mine
So when the wind blows .. I see my polos and timbos ..
🙌🙌🙌
Dont forget about the timbs they wore in the hit em up music video!
Timberland is a legendary brand
Absolutely
