nice just spotted this on LTT and wanted to see it in a real world setting, you have convinced my to give it a try was planning on upgrading in the new year but this will be a nice stop gap, used you code hopefully you get something back for it

Do you have a WIFI or Cable connection? I think it is WIFI right? Unless I missed it in your video. I have tried shadow and I am impressed with it too. However, I do have good Internet connection.
The price is a bit steep for me
Bought a Sheild TV box and it's a beast, Gforce Now is in beta and works well.
Wouldnt call it pricey, especially for the Hardware you're getting.
Also, the specs get updated from time to time, meaning you pay for ultra graphics all the time, not just for a few years like you do when buying an expensive PC.
But its obviously not something for everyone and I respect that.

Some ppl like to relax away from their keyboard. Some ppl are limited due to disabilities. However its nice to have the choice

No seriously I want calibrated display make sure my colours contrast and white and black levo is correct games look way better I got used to it tho so it sucks to be you lol I have a Sony phone Experia 1 with calibrated mode and I can't look at my uncalibrated oled TV looks like pants now atleast my phone shows correct contrast ratio and goes to HDR aswel when viewing HD content looks even better with proper show of colours

If you have a USB controller you should just be able to plug it in.
Note that "USB over IP" must be checked for that

@@TheMarc8691 The hardrive on the local machine (front end client) no it will not display the hardrive, you will have to install your games or transfer them the the VM or backend client if you wish to play them on your Shadow account
@@TheMasterNooby Yeah i tried transferring from my external hard drive to the shadow front end,but the transfer speed is shockingly slow even on fast usb 3,don't know why ,also they are not offering xtra storage yet 😫
marc hitchens yea I also had this issue. Sorry it didn’t work out for you mate. Maybe this is something they can work on. The only other way I can think is to upload the games and then download in the shadow client which will take minutes on their end. Thanks

Do you have to buy the games? How do they appear in shadow?
They can be bought from steam or any other source. It's just like buying a game on your personal computer and downloading it to your harddrive.

About 20-30mbps on average
i am thinking of selling my gtx 1080 fot that. and i would get a gtx 950 and it would be more then enough to stream 1080p or even 4k... or i could get a i7 8700k and 8 gb more ram and a 512 ssd... for ton of money and i could still not play it well like that... but i am not sure if its really 1080 because of the compression... i hope my 40mbits is enough to get full 1080...
@PresFN now I do use shadow. its important to know that they dont say that you have to play on 30 fps. if you do increase it then input lagg is way too much. but for sp games its more then enough. tested it on minecraft(full shader), ark, assasinscr. odyssey, metro, gta v(especially good because its already a "slow" game), watch dogs 2, rdr 2 (like gta slow game, really good), arma3, skyrim, single player strategy games... I am kind of happy when it comes to gameplay. one downside is the gtx gen gpu. you dont have rtx support. so in future rtx 2060 super would be a better choose then 1080 I believe. but with the 1080 I can play the games on very high/ nearly max wihtout rtx. the details make up for the input lagg which is not even noticable when you play on 30. there other problems. if you have 50 mbits then you have to set up shadow to about 1/3 of it. dont know why but that helps with the input lagg a lot. so if you have 100 mbit then 1/3 would be 30. I testet that on my friends home on 50 mbits. he has 150 mbits. it was good. at my home I play depending on what my family is doing right now on 15 to 20 mbits. the video quality on 10-15 is not really 1080p. 720p at max. the only downside for me is loading time. start your pc > start shadow > start the game > load your savegame... takes way too much time. you cant automatically start and enter shadow pc. on 25-30mbits you'll get 1080p. but for me with 30+ mbits the game freezes for a sec sometimes... downloading games is 0 problem. with 1 gig+ speed on steam/epic etc. you can get the game in minutes... to put stuff on shadow in future there will be drag&drop available. now I am using cloud storage but my upload speed is waaaaay too slow. i can even put 3rd party games on shadow. games i dont have on steam or epic. but it takes a couple hours to upload them. good news is that your upload doesnt impact your download. so while uploading on shadow I can still play games. so putting games with 100+ gb on shadow is doable in the background with no problems. but better play steam/epic games...
@PresFN you got it wrong. the fps is not prooblem. with lower setting 100+ is possible. but the latency is the problem. with shadow you should forget winning on pubg, fortnite or lol... just play for fun... to play fortnite I would play on my own pc on mid settings instead of maxxed out on shadow pc...

Play Time yes it’s a wired Xbox controller. It works with any windows pc and works with shadow.
the delay in pubg is gigantic . . imo you can't play properly aiming games with this . Im fine with the rest

@ same here then i did some research . So rather just play it safe. Some people have pull it off but is it worth the risk

Getting shadow for WOW, a game that needs a GT440 and a Dual Core Intel E8500, isnt a good idea anyways
@@Whomsky wow bfa won't be playable with the specs you just mentioned, believe it or not you actually need a decent rig to have an enjoyable play experience in wow now

But I think its pretty trash from Blizzard to not allow such kind of streaming services to play their games. They're losing profit at the end of the day

Yes it will work ok on 15MB.
15 mb/s is very very different than mbps, 15mb/s is about 110 mbps
Yeah i was wondering the same thing. I am getting 18 mbps tops and i've seen some lag where guy had like 40 mbps
