  • Why this dish goes by the name of barbecue shrimp is anybody's guess, since it's not barbecued and it's not cooked or served with barbecue sauce.

    SO important to have head-on shrimp! I'm very glad to see this emphasized. This is one of the most sensuous dishes in creation. If you don't do it right, it's a travesty.

    Looks good. I noticed you haven’t deveined the shrimp, and when you it them, you seem to be also eating the shell. Does the cooking time and juice soften the shell that much that it enables you to eat it?

      shells are not eaten

      She looked like she hadn't deshelled the tail. Pull the shell off, then pull the vein out before you scarf it down.

    I am sorry but barbecue and shrimps do not sound good. At all!
