Damn, over 80 days since my last main channel video! Sorry to keep you guys waiting so long but I've been working on a bunch of crazy projects which you'll be seeing in the near future.
Hey, I just wanted to leave a comment, because you are incredible. I have now almost watched every video of yours. I usually just watch them before I go to bed just as a way to calm down and relax. I have absolutely no I idea of how anything of what you do works but I am always fascinated at how simple you make it look. Your creativeness and overall work is inspiring and just straight up awesome. Keep up the good work and know that it’s appreciated even by people who could not put a texture on a plain in Blender. Can’t wait for the next video man!
First of all, this stuff is ABSOLUTELY SPLENDID !!! also, for the fog or mist, instead of using the volume BSDF, you could plug an emission node into the volume input the the cube with a very low number which gives the same effect of fog and mist just at lower render times, now I know that the 4090 is crazy powerful but this could really get in handy for large scenes where even a GPU like this would take a considerably high amount of time to render...
It's a good work-around, and I personally use it for some shots. My Jurassic park video, for instance, had fake volumetrics. But it isn't ideal for scenes like this. Using an emission as a volume adds extra light to the whole scene. And it's fake volumetrics so it doesn't interact with any of the actual light sources in the scene (sdo you don't get the nice light diffusion halos). Emission volumes work best for overcast daytime scenes.
This is amazing I’ve been learning various techniques you’ve showed in your tutorial from here and there and now you’ve shown me a way to compile it together. ❤❤❤❤
I feel the reason why the image sequence of the rain dripping of the window looked off was because it wasn't meant to. The rain isn't getting to the window so how was it dripping? Thats what I was thinking about
Omg im so lucky to find this .....i literally was searching for this kind of project works and how to work on them you saved lot of my time thank, you keep it cant wait for your next future projects
This is very cool :) 13:30-13:50 I swear I remember the one? It was like an astronaut in a room with massive windows and he was looking out whilst it was raining? I can't see it in your uploads anymore though
Hey like what you did here! Though I would like to point out some things. You've pretty much nailed to wanted look and feel of this environment and using an actual photograph as reference is usually the way to go if you want to achieve realism. Though your texturing work could need some improvements, The UVs aren't too great, the small table outside for example, the UVs of its legs are rotated the wrong way. Aditionally, your materials look too clean to be real, there is no grunge on them, dirt, leaks or cracks it's almost brand new. Loved the little detail of the rain drop animation on the windows though the animtion looks off, usually rain drops don't slide straight down, and not all at the same speed. Overall the primary shapes and details are there and some of the secondary ones for the fine details are missing and makes for the lack of realism. Keep working hard and you'll get there!
My problem with microdisplacement in Blender is, it took ages to calculate at rendertime. And this for each frame. Compared for example with Octane, its useless. This is my mainproblem generell with Blender. It has a lot of features, but its so slow.

No problem 🤟
I would love a full tutorial, that shows how to make it step by step.

Thank you so much. Comments like this make it all worthwhile.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that watches tutorials to relax ☺
Haha finally I found other peeps on UA-cam with that habit. Tutorials calm me too - and I couldn't say it any better :) And awesome work of course!

Thank you very much. I've been working on lots of different videos over the last few months.
Hey thanks for the shout! You are very talented.

amazing thank you !!!!!!
Great job❤️🔥
Good tips
Thanks
incredible as always
How long did it take to render and did you use cycles or evvee?
this is definitely cycles
nice bro
Wow really well done👏
Thank you! 😊

It wasn't for a main channel video, just a small experiment on my second channel.

How do u fix the scale after using fspy
Fspy allows you to set the scene scale before export.
Is that a Middlesbrough accent I hear there? :)

bro i got a 2060 pc and just upgraded to that from a apple laptop and i still cant barely render this holy
rtx 2060
It would fit in the VRAM of a 2060. The rendering would be fairly slowish but you could make this.
OK the imperfection is missing. And I love Decoded. Im working on imperfection for 20 years now. Its insanity
Pretty sure the goal of this excercise is speed and technique. So its not going to look like something someone would spend on week on.
my gpu burned just by displaying this video and workflow lol

my GT 710 could never
It would struggle but this would fit in the VRAM of a 710. Slow renders but possible.

--- great tutorial - but where can we get the add-on for fSpy? --- 30JAN23
I linked it in the description.
This isn't a tutorial. This is an ad for a scam company.

'PromoSM' 😒
The title is pretty accurate, it looks moody, and it didn't say anything about it looking realistic or good.
Ok
@@DECODEDVFX It looks amazing imo !
Excellent Work, though using stupid clickbait titles like this is very petty, Bro. You're better than this, Man.
What do you mean? The video is straight to the point and the title matches the results.
What do you mean clickbait? Video is straight up 15mins and the result fit the titles perfectly
Ian Hubert has ruined blender tutorials. no one wants to do actual tutorials. just overviews
My videos are the opposite of what Ian Hubert does.
