Your work is very inspiring. Thank you for your good tips. I started as hobbyist, with time I became an environment artist/terrain modeler and I had the opportunity to work in projects for great studios. I can confirm what you said, time, passion and efforts can really make you become a good artist and earn some money. Now, even if I made my life choice, it was (and in some cases still is) a wonderful adventure.
Just out of curiosity, did you ever attend any college or courses to get that job or learn your skills? Or did you just do it on your own and use the work that you had already done to show your skills?
Stay motivated, invest time, get help for the things you can't do yourself, ... You did not just gave a blender tutorial, you gave a life tutorial. Thanks
I wish I could like this twice Max, I've been waiting for you to put out a course for a long time. You've been the artist making things that tick off all of my own personal boxes of both things I like to see as well as things I'd like to create (scale, light, life, brutalist architecture, futurism, ancient ruins, etc). I've been struggling with focus, inspiration, and motivation for months now, I think this might just be the thing that drags me out of that hole.
Love your work man! Subbed now. Great point about lighting, keeping it simple. I was always intimidated by how to light a scene, but one day this guy I was working with in film said "Start with what you can't control and work up from there", and that made approaching lighting way easier for me, it makes it methodical, not just a creative choice. One approach based on that approach is to add in a HDRI and get it to look as good as possible, then use a light or two extra in the scene to highlight what's important or way too dark. I hope that helps someone who is struggling with lighting xD
Amazing video, and thanks for taking the time to talk about your personal backstory in the beginning. It was worth every second and very inspirational!

I relate strongly to the struggle of finding something to do for a career. Since highschool for me began I was pressured to choose a path but nothing truly caught my eye that I could see myself doing for the rest of my life. I'm 20 now, never did college or anything and am working in a place that could be a full time career but I hate it. That being said Blender is something I am new to but nothing would make me happier than being able to make my imagination a reality for an income. As a 3d artist and an artist in general, I know that the only way to improve is to practice and as you mentioned in the video, seek help and guidance from already good artists such as you, so for me buying this course is a step in the right direction, it will help me learn new things, improve my perspective, and elevate my art. I will definitely buy it, your art is the most inspiring and eye-catching to me and I want to replicate it, adapt it, and improve it in my own way. Btw will you keep updating this course and continue adding to it? and one small note: I noticed that in most of your renders, you use people to give an essence of grandeur and scale, will you share where to get 3d people models from? either in the course or in general.
The beginning of the video is what got me hooked, because that is what I want. To be able to choose my entertainment, to choose and create the exact vibe I want. Thank you. I also have a question, how much money can you make from this as a career?
Also this is beyond helpful and generous. I wish I had this, and I’ll definitely give back in a similar fashion because if I had these I’d have been more directed. A lot of time was spent on finding my bearings😂❤❤❤❤ Another tip with lights is to have a small group of lights that have been set with all the attention, while another group can be experimental and is dispensable can later be considered unnecessary and discarded so you don’t get carried away and make a mess.
I'd love to get good at Blender but it's such a massive software. So point 1 - getting good with lights and cameras makes me happy, as I am a filmmaker. That's what I do day-in and day-out so I guess I kind of know my way around cameras and lighting 😂

Good stuff man. Your video is good. I'm,well I guess I'm a writer atm, I need to make a few short films before I can make any other claims. Right now I don't know what I don't know about blender but my figuring is to create backdrops or sets to use in pair with photography and video. I build miniature sets and models and want to broaden my scope and use new alongside old, equipment and techniques. I am sure I will find all manor of useful videos on your channel. Thanks for putting this all together.
Concentration is very important and unfortunately I have never mastered this skill. I always turn on some video or music in the background so as not to be distracted by small noises in the house or so that my head does not become filled with unnecessary thoughts. Now this is my main problem, and I’m not even sure that I can solve it with radical methods. Do you have more detailed advice on this?
I’d like to find artists that make 3D reconstruction environments from real places. It’s something that I want to do, and I’m having a hard time with.. because it’s not random, procedural.. it’s a moment in time.. a real moment.
it looks so nice.. this is truly amazing.. i hope i can do stuff like that some day.. but thinking about it also makes me scared.. if i do this solo i need to get an accountent to do finance for me.. that costs me money.. i need to make a website.. (would do that myself i went to school for IT and i code as a hobby too).. i would also need some way of reaching ppl that might be interested.. the modeling itself is not as scary.. its the chores that come with.. well having a company or firm.. thats what it would come down to in germany..

For models 3dsky can be amazing
You really just don't miss huh?! - TAPPING INTO THIS COURSE
Do you have more detailed advice on this?
amazing. how do you actually get your ideas?
I’d like to find artists that make 3D reconstruction environments from real places. It’s something that I want to do, and I’m having a hard time with.. because it’s not random, procedural.. it’s a moment in time.. a real moment.
Did you plan to increase the price in the future? I'm interested in the course but didnt have enough budget at this moment
nice, a really eye opener
wow beautiful
Awesome ! Thank You .
Congratulations!!!!! 🎉👏
There is a super easy work around to make Quixel Megascans / Bridge to Blender work! There's a ton of videos explaining it - i used it in Blender 3.51
Is there any way to have it so that it exports the textures set up correctly? I always have to rearrange the nodes
it looks so nice.. this is truly amazing.. i hope i can do stuff like that some day.. but thinking about it also makes me scared.. if i do this solo i need to get an accountent to do finance for me.. that costs me money.. i need to make a website.. (would do that myself i went to school for IT and i code as a hobby too).. i would also need some way of reaching ppl that might be interested.. the modeling itself is not as scary.. its the chores that come with.. well having a company or firm.. thats what it would come down to in germany..
Man one question, how do you make that cloud effects. They look sooooo good. Also, thanks for everything you shared with us. Helps a lot!!! Love you.
I liked it before to watch… I’ll do it asap!
