Buckin you have taught me how to spread kindness through being a woodman. I cut and split a truck load of oak for my neighbor and he was astonished that I stacked it all for him for free. He just moved to these mountains of North Carolina from Florida and said no one is kind like that there. Axe of kindness, spread love. Thank you Buckin! Love from the Appalachians
Good stuff! The ole pup looks like a keeper to me. I got one of ours off the side of the road as a pup after she’d had been ran over. Broke her leg. A group of people were there and nobody seemed to care. I asked if it was theirs and she was walking around whining. Took her home and that’s been around 5 years ago. We love her! Keep up the great work my friend and God bless you and your family.
People are heartless sometimes,we love animals and the wildlife on our property. Our dog was about to get put down by the RSPCA we were her last chance after being in there 2 years, she has caused us the most grief keeping her in the yard but after 2 years of putting up elec tape got her secure, now can go for motorcycle ride without worrying all the time she is out.
Thank you so much Buckin’ for the shoutout for 522Stitches!!! You are the coolest and I am so so so glad my grandma and I ran into you. Best plane ride I think either of us have ever had. You’re a gem. Keep on doing the good work!
God Bless the Old Man dog. I hope he’s had a good life , he looks happy and well behaved so I would say so. I’ve always had labs so it reminds me of some of the senior ones I’ve had and currently have. A true gift from Heaven
The greatest decision living in the Pacific NW.. "do I need to bring another shirt or jacket" Nope, let's go.. Mother nature says should have listened..😁👍 Been there many times, and it won't be the last..
Pretty cool that she fits a full cord bud!! Sat pretty flat and drove great. That’s a lot of wood. You want to look good, buy a RAM, you want to work, buy a FORD/MERC.
You inspired me Buckin, I recently a few days ago found my Myrtle, a 1960 International 3/4 ton 4x4 with a 9ft box very much like Myrtle. It’s a 4 speed with a big 6 in it, gobs of low end. She’s not a 1ton but with factory 13 leaf springs in the back she just might hold a cord as well haha. It’s my future firewood/bush truck for my off grid cabin lifestyle. You’re so right about these old trucks, they are just special.
just took a small hike in the local woods, saying hi to all the dogs that people are walking. A chocolate Lab was the friendliest/happiest dog that we saw. Rolled on his back, walked sideways, gave out a few whimpers of joy as we talked to him. Luv the pups ❤️
WOULD LOVE TO SEE YOU BE ABLE TO KEEP THAT DOG,,SEEMS LIKE HE ENJOYS HANGING OUT WITH YOU, MYRTLE JUST PURING AWAY I LOVE THAT TRUCK AND THE PAYLOAD CAPACITY SHE HAS IS CRAZY,,HOPE EVERYONE HAS A GREAT WEEKEND STAY SAFE ID TAKE MYRTLE OVER A NEW TRUCK ANYDAY
I've always thought that you can tell a lot about a person's personality and character buy the way they treat animals and nature. Buckin Billy Ray is an angel in disguise.. Love and respect always wins.
D***n thats an awesome truck i love it, as a driver of older fords it's odd to most folks the happiness i had when i saw that both brake lights worked early in the video lol, great truck a real 1 ton glad you have it god bless y'all
Hes an old man with all that grey. Hopefully someone is looking for him and didnt dump him. If it is the latter, i have every confidence that you will give him the proper loving home that he deserves for the rest of his days BECAUSE THATS THD RIGHT THING TO DO!
Watching you in Myrtle brings back some wonderful memories of riding with my father in old trucks years ago. Thank you, friend, for that gift! Love you all...❤❤❤ Lieutenant Bradley
Buckin,I am going to win you over eventually, you are a good man and I learned alot from you, I would love to see some videos on cutting tops over houses, please hook us up!
Would love to see the rigging part, where to tie and why,not the knots, just the where what and why about lowering tops and branches over a structure. I think it would help myself and everyone 👀 👀
Good morning Buckin', wonderful video. The truck "Myrtle" lovely, wipers like she's winking. Splitting wood, Myrtle, pretty wood, side rails was a recipe for a full of character video. Love you, Terry Ps. Maybe think about putting a warm shirt in a bag, and carry it in the truck, be there when you need it, especially this time of the year.
Oh Billy I am house sitting my son's house in North Carolina in the city and I am so homesick for the woods and watching your video and hearing the rain just brings back memories and makes me long for getting back into the woods even more I miss my chainsaws I miss my Sawmill I miss making ax handles I miss all of the wood stuff but I just dearly love this video hearing the rain that's what I do I love Gathering wood in the rain
Love doing firewood the past 20 years...on a forest wood permit. Hand split it all in the woods. But have to wheelbarrow out due to federal rules. My exercise program. Although can't keep at it with arthritis past few years. But yeah the blood flow helps. Took up pedal bicycle touring.
Believe it or not, there was a stretch of time when a 362 was my biggest functioning saw....and I actually sometimes ran it with a 36" bar, when necessary...😬😬😬😬😬😬 Not a great idea, but if you're patient, and don't push it too hard, it actually works 🤣🤣🤣
I can understand why your in love with that Mercury it's a gem for sure . Quite rare to I would be proud an work it also . My wood cutting truck is a 79 chevy crew cab one ton . It's a beast like the ole merc. Can not stop the old iron its built tough
Your phone is quite waterproof, friend. No worries as long as it’s not saltwater or any liquid that can destroy the seals. It can even detect moisture in the charging port and delay charging until you dry it out.
I've got an old '68 International fleetstar 2010a for haulin firewood. It's got a crane and a 16' dump bed, built some 4 foot sideboards for it. Stacked in neat I can get 4 cord on, loose rounded a bit it'll hold 3. I get the same feeling you do over Mertle. Yeah it's just a material thing, but man I love that truck. It makes me grin every time I see it or drive it. It even makes the 5 mpg I get with it not so painful lol.
Had a few 1968 F250 360 and 390 good but burned alot of fuel and had death wobble. Otherwise strong good trucks. Wish they still made step side contractor body real trucks today. Now all plastic and computer s .
I load and unload wood like I’m unloading crabs in the fish hold of our family boat. 3rd generation commercial fishermen here and your left is throwing a crab whilst you’re right is reaching to pick up another and you keep perfectly repetitive balance almost like Tia chi. Your always looking at where your going to pick up next. God bless you all friends
Buckin I think your videos are getting better all the time, I think you tube has given you a chance to live your dream in a way not many can. Thank you for sharing your life with us

😎
I'm glad you show people what actually a cord of wood looks like most people can get shorted if they didn't know better
Thank you so much Buckin’ for the shoutout for 522Stitches!!! You are the coolest and I am so so so glad my grandma and I ran into you. Best plane ride I think either of us have ever had. You’re a gem. Keep on doing the good work!

That old dog looks right at home in the bunker, with Myrtle and the firewood operation! Seems like a good fit, hope it's meant to be brother.

Can't beat the ol 1T trucks. They take whatever you throw at 'em, and just keep running.
You went at that wood like you were killing snakes my brother. No fiddling around. You remind me so much of my dad...love you Buckin!
Hes an old man with all that grey. Hopefully someone is looking for him and didnt dump him. If it is the latter, i have every confidence that you will give him the proper loving home that he deserves for the rest of his days BECAUSE THATS THD RIGHT THING TO DO!

That truck must be Ford Tough, that’s a good load of firewood. I agree with you, better to get a 3/4 or 1 ton and get the job done safely. Cheers
