Just a heads up for anyone who doesn't know. James has a beast of a channel that doesn't have many subs. He just needs to make more of his normal witty content and he'll be exploding. 🚀
Yes, found this really useful. Thank you. The point of ending your video with an intro to the next video the viewer needs to watch and why is invaluable.
Thanks for this Ed and team, it was really useful, would love to see more of these on a regular basis. Thanks for your time and effort that go into all your videos
I really like this. I get a lot from your other videos to. However, with this slow-paced conversation I feel like I am really getting it into my brain. Shows me like sitting down with a friend that will tell me the truth but not hurt my feelings. lol . And more over It allows me to think about it on my own well you guys are talking and reinforcing the ideas. Hope to see more. Thanks, and grate stuff.
I just need to state your skill on writing intros, I know you probably have q video about that (and I certainly watched it 4x at least, yeah, huge fan) but I need you could make a video on a more technical things you have or maybe checklists when creating the intro, also in terms of chapters, I loved the intro part, and I also think that if someone is bored on your content chapters could also be an excuse for the person to instead of skip the entire video, skip only parts of it
21:29 posting the word "why" caught my attention. The talking had got a bit blah-di-blah but that word helped me understand what the video was going to be about. It needed to be near the beginning. In fact I would title the video as something like "How I got my 'why' back!"
@@Tee-PayneGolf basically if you want to get better at this YT thing you must keep learning you always learn something new. If your videos aren't doing great check your thumbnail make sure it's clear what you are trying to say that when the viewer click on the thumbnail your intro is clear and have a story in your intro of why the viewer should keep watching and stick to the end, but we must put in the time to learn more and even tho it might be 58 min long there's great value just keep learning!
Are chapters more likely to cause viewers to jump ahead? Yes. However, chapters can also keep those same viewers on your video, when they would have otherwise just clicked away.
FYI on the first video lots of creators only make the source video 1/3 of the screen as a precaution for fair use problems. That is probably why it is so small.
On the double-barrel title where part of it is for browse and part is for search, can we just put the search part in the description? What's the recommendation for that? I get the 'keep it under 50 characters' recommendation, but that means it's either intriguing or search friendly, but not both... 😖
I was wondering the same thing. Ed said 'YT is smart enough to know what the video is about.' Does that mean we don't need the search terms? How do people who are searching know that the video will satisfy their query?
Great video you all! So insightful. Some feedback with love: seems like there was some white noise in the background that was a little distracting (deadened the video). Perhaps you all could pump some cool music in the background. Might liven the feel. Content, SO GOOD!
I'd definitely watch Ed's take on the first "Wish" reaction video... However, it sounds like Ed's takes it from a reaction, to a review. The purpose of these are very different.
the second video I went and watched and it was very good I think a title along the way of seeking discomfort to become a better creator would work for him because that was the story he wrote in the video the only people clicking on the video before that are people wanting to know what the Blackmagic 6K Shots look like and it very underdelivers on that
No disrespect intended, but I find it mildly depressing to see a channel with 164k subscribers have bad audio and a low-energy droning on strings of uploads, while Michael is south of 70k with top notch cinematography. I guess there's always room for improvement, even after a UA-cam silver plaque...
Eye opening! I know what you mean. I was also surprised. First I thought it was 16.4K then realised there was no decimal point. I see it as potential (from a positive POV) to be like you are (assuming good quality) but reach 100K in the long run.
If you think your target audience is very specific and rare, you might want to optimize your SEO ( tags and hashtags and title...ect) to make your video pop up in people's search results when they're trying to search about golf
before anyone starts a channel, do a search for "TikTok heating videos" and you'll find an article which explains how TikTok (and likely UA-cam) pretty much hand picks who the top channels are. The fantasy that anyone can be the top UA-camr is pretty much a myth. Just keep that in mind... maybe they will go back to the way UA-cam used to be but money comes first for corporations.
Man, not to be disrespectful but if I had a channel with 164k subs averaging 1-3k views per video it's time to either go to a new channel or just quit lol
that vancouver shot on blackmagic video not the thumbnail or title but the video itself makes me wanna click off this to go watch it so man i think that guy did a super good job on the video just didnt get enough clicks because the title and thumbnail

I'm gonna be real the second video review, I was so invested in his video he did really well.

Hey Ed quick question, do you use a teleprompter for your videos?
That was great! Keep ‘‘em coming cause i need to learn what to do with my videos now 😊
It was fun. Watching from Germany! 🎉

I know you probably received hundreds of submissions, but bummed I wasn't picked. The video has failed again. Any chance of a part 2?

Stop snogging at the start of your video.
Will urban dictionary snogging later.
it means kissing hahah, totally forgot that a British word
Very eye-opening. I deleted chapters everywhere. Thank you!
realy.great how do you submit a video

They claimed before the stream was even finished
You and Tomo carol speak with exactly the same mannerisms, if that's the right word

Good morning both host
the crazy thing is that the channels reviewed here (for free) didn't change their thumbnails at all or titles, pretty shitty imo
