I bet as soon as this video went live you were inundated with enquiries. Lovely little car, much more practical than a Range/Land Rover for every day use.
What a cracking little motor James. Friend of mine who lives in the mountains in Northern Italy has one of these along with a Range Rover, in the winter the Range Rover stays in the garage as the Fiat is unstoppable on the snow and Icey mountain roads.
The 4x4 panda had always been a capable little car . Mostly overlooked. Like the SJ10 that's now the stuff of legends and tall pub stories since Suzuki stopped producing them . What a cracking 4x4. Peace and love brother ✌️ 🧡🤗
Had 2 of the original 4x4 Pandas, both Sisley around 15 years ago, a grey one then a red one. 4wd selection via a manual floor lever , inclinometer, off white wheels, canoe logo on seats. Could not get it stuck how ever hard I tried. Mud, snow, ice, rocks, took it all in its stride.
Panda 4x4 what a superb vehicle I had a panda cross 4x4 I had heated seats if you look that may have a heated front screen it used to be called a winter pack...they say that it should do 150.000 miles before the chain should need attention...they really are the best small cars and they punch way above thier weight...its my ambition when I can afford it to purchase another and rub it as a second car as I did before...I'm going to come and buy a car off you one if these days let's hope you have one of these in stock then...but thet 1.3 diesel really is a great engine...love it
Cracking little cars with tons of character and unique, quirky styling, absolutely fun cars to own and drive! I have the twinair 2 cylinder 875cc engine which actually developes more power than the diesel, 85bhp lighter engine, cheaper to service, a no brainer 😁👍
Love the style a lot of car enthusiasts look as Autotrader and think I would like to try that out. James looks Smokes a car like a cigar and moves it on 👏
Looks like a great little car that Panda. Something like that with the 4x4 is totally wasted in London but looks ideal for a little runaround in the sticks.
Great cars. James from prior experience I would recommend a bottle of dpf cleaner and premium fuel for a while with so few miles done on a multi jet diesel. Great little motor but can get coked up. Looks fab in that army green.
I too, am a big fan of small cars and am truly fascinated by a small, diesel, 4×4....unfortunately, a combination never offered in North America. Love the color, the wheels, that capable looking roof rack, tho since I live nowhere near snow, I think I could live without AWD. THIS and the 911 would do me just fine.
Looks like your having great fun with your panda 4x4, really enjoyed the video I've got the twinair engine version and also enjoyed the snow we had in Nottinghamshire!
Question: when you press the ELD button - the green light on the button stays on, the message on the middle screen about the engagement of the ELD scrolls - but do you also get the big, green ELD icon on the dash?
Matt from High peak drove his 160,000 mileish 10 plate 1.3 diesel Panda from Lancashire to his/parents home near Malaga recently 1000/1100 mile or so and claimed it was doing 70/75 mpg on the motorways going . I've started to think over last few years Fiat's are far better cars than they are given credit for. Not surprising that the likes of the Alps & Pyrenees and all other high places throughout Europe all Generations of 4x4 Pandas are popular.
Hi James, that will sell like hot cakes around our beautiful Devon countryside, definitely retail this one James and don't trade it out, should be pretty good mpg aswell on this one🙂👍
Always wanted the origional Sisley 4x4 Panda but drove too many long distance journeys to make it a practical choice. Also in Cumbria they cost a premium and back then you didn't travel far to buy cars, a non local registration raised questions!
big issues with those engines all due to the long service intervals, do an oil change every year or every 8 to 10 thousand miles and they will last a very long time
The only issue I had with my 1.3 multiJet (in a Punto) was the water pump failed at around 80k miles but it was really easy to change. Might not be so easy in the Panda!!!
Incredible cars. Searching for a petrol version for myself as a first car! How is it for headroom? I'm 6'5 - with adjusting the seat, do you think I could find enough room to comfortably do 2/3 hours at the wheel??
the pandas are such a great little car, loved mine i had a few years ago,, do you still rate the Fiat 500's, daughter is thinking of getting one, but i always thought they were renowned for being slow especially on hills and maybe unreliable ? she has a kia picanto now, which i rate very well
There's a lot to be said for little light well thought out cars..when you've done the fast and the luxury you realise they all get you there.... Very few folk have a money no object outlook...fair go to you if you have...tidy little thing that.
I've had problems with that engine bud but that's been at 100k plus, had a couple when the chains gone (jumped) but that's a megga miles, just had to refund a corsa with that engine due to no start, but that's 124k, I'm sure at that miles it will be great.
This won't hang around, because it's a useful and very practical small car. The fact it's also a 4x4 is a plus for those who live out in the sticks. Didn't Subaru make a little hatchback 4x4 years ago? The Fusty or Rusty or something?
@Chops Garage I now see this. I was looking at a newer one ,2019, which is 0/5 shocking really. In reality, the older ones are just as unsafe. It's just the test got stricter and, therefore, the lack of safety was discovered.
NCAP has gone mental it's gone from assessing the structural integrity of the vehicles to include labelling and electronic driver assist aids. They should have two marks, one for how the car protects you in an accident and a second for the other stuff.
I really like these, great colour and interior isn’t it… god forbid you start buying cars you don’t like (as much) only for stock😂 it’s was better than any Top Gear road test.
😄😄 Imagine a car lover, selling used cars and a couple of units. You could almost imagine 1 of the units becoming a private " toy box" Heaven's forbid.😇
1.3 not a nice diesel GM engine. But. They do indeed well over 120k in corsa vans and similar and still drive strangled coked up. Imagine a nice free 28k mileage one be nice
If the centre diff isn't locked, all the power will go to the wheel(s) that have lost grip. Think what happens when two-wheel drive vehicle has one driven wheel spinning in the mud. The other wheel does nothing.
This doesn’t have diff lock as such, it’s basically an enhanced version of the electronic stability control system. It applies brakes to the spinning wheel/s thus sending power to those that aren’t spinning
Somewhat troublesome engines those 1.3 multijets but aren't they all in their own ways? Best of a bad bunch etc etc. The vauxhall CDTI version seems to be worse for some reason, and they do suffer from Turbo problems, I know of one that was needing it's 3rd turbo at 45k miles, can only assume it had never been serviced. Lack of servicing will kill them, timing chains aren't the best and DPF issues but that's not a fair thing to say because almost all diesels are prone to DPF problems! All in all not bad, but not the best either
Had a few of these 1.3 diesel in pandas and doblos. They're generally problem free but the big issue we've had with them is DPF especially on the lower milage cars that were just used in and around town
It is such a pithy that Fiat stopped making the 4X4. And it shows, second hand prices are quite steep. The 1.3 D is a reliable engine but it has very little tolerance to neglect (even Mercedes Diesels suffer if you don't maintain them). So you can blame the morons who skip the maintenance on their car for any bad rep this engine has regarding the chain.
Hi James, if you are not interested in keeping it could I buy it please, been looking for one in this colour and mileage and they never come up, message me.
@@stepheng8779 bit of a stupid reply. They sold it after 4 years doing 4000 miles in that time. Sisley. Oh no mk3. Never had one

the only fault on those engines ive heard is the camshaft can snap ( not the chain but the actual camshaft) causing engine failure...
