The auto locking noise is very useful. You leave the car and on hearing that noise know that it is locked. If silent you would have to back away and wait for the lights to flash.
James the Audi is s-tronic gearbox and most likely the mechatronic unit has failed, £500 to send off repair or order the kit online and do it yourself really easy to remove if you have the right tools. sometimes you need to do the clutch pack after but rarely 👍🏻
That Audi probably has the DQ200 gearbox. Renowned for it's unreliability, it was changed in 2012 and went from being sealed for life with synthetic oil to now requiring a service fairly regularly. I hope it's not too expensice a fix.
Tax on that Dacia with be a flat rate £190 as every new car since April 2017. Unless new value over 40k then it adds on a £410 premium for first 5 times you tax it
The 1.3 petrol turbo in the Dacia is a cracking engine. 130bhp and seen in Qashqais/kadjar and Meganes. Loads of power and 4 cylinder not that 3 cylinder tripe.
Not often i have a moan James ..in fact this is the first one in all the years i have been watching...2min 50 of surfshark advertising on a 8 min 500 video .....not good mate for me anyway
This Audi is s-tronic not Dsg the older ones require oil changing, these one are a manual gearbox and clutch set up controlled by a mechatronic unit which has failed, common problem but easily fixed done around 5 In total
As someone who has been watching james for around 4 years and never miss a video i feel that if i can't support him by watching a ad then it's a poor do,it's not difficult just to wait for the ad to finish and it helps james out so whats the big deal ffs,if anyone really has a problem like a few do in the comments then please stop watching and go unsubscribe as I'm sure james would prefer you to do one than moan over an advert
YET AGAIN SEEMS PEOPLE DON'T GET IT..i HAVENT' an issue with the advert it's the fact it took up 40% of the video and only left five minutes of content , Had the video been say fifteen minutes long it would not have been an issue ..oh and for your information i am far from a snowflake , i say it how it is .....
You should buy cars from N.Ireland, that Mazda would struggle to get £1200-£1500....Theres a Sept 2010 1.5 sport near me with 44000 and its £2950 from a dealer, private would be even lower.
They were great until the early 2000s....petrol engines are ok, diesels are a disaster from late 2000s.... Underside corrosion is a big problem if the car hasn't been treated underneath at an early age.
1 minute advert in an 8 minute video and people are complaining, simply skip the ad if a man earning a living upsets you, snowflakes ❄️ keep up the good work Chops!
Advert didn’t start until 1 min in and ended at 2.50 so sorry I’ll correct myself to 1 min 50 seconds 🙄 but still, whats the issue? Just skip it, and enjoy the 6 minute clip and remember that you watch his videos for FREE ❄️
In the Mercedes it's basically a tweeked Renault engine....I serviced a 2020 A200 1.3 last week...... surprisingly good to drive and easy to service engine and brakes.
Suzuki Swift and Splash are ok, great engines. A Vauxhall Agila B from around 2010 is a rebadged Suzuki Splash, they are great little cars and you can pick up a bargain as many people don't know they are a really a Suzuki. I service a 2010 1.2 with 152000 miles on it and you wouldn't hear it running.
No stopping you now mate, Nissan cvt box, now a dsg one, brilliant!
Could be worse, could be a Car Vertical ad 😂
Lol

Spot on
Amazing function just invented the fast forward button. Or the off button or watch something else or do something else.
Im afraid we all need to earn a living and if you check it out there have prob be 30 videos without since there was last a sponsored one
I wouldn't mind if surfshark were half decent.
But they are pants.
Nord VPN is worth a shout though.
Keeping it real as always Chops , great content as always
Appreciate that
DSG gearboxes need servicing religiously at 30k to 40k miles using the correct oil, otherwise they'll go wrong.....

Correct

Another really good video.
Its ridiculous how those Mazdas rust out. Budget Bangers did one on a 2009 plate and the boot floor had practically disappeared.
That Mazda won't be around for long tbh. That Audi will sell quickly, just hope the gearbox isn't too expensive
Nothing ventured, nothing gained 😊
Be either the mechatronics or clutch pack

1.5s not as popular at the 1.3 here
The rear tyres on the Audi look too skinny for the rims James - or at least a profile size lower than the front. Could be me, just sayin' etc ;-)
Could be that
Maybe try an advert, your problem car bought for more, better than paying good money and find it needs fixing, get in on the ground floor.
I'm overdosing on fking UA-cam crappy adds then listed to you waffle on a load of baloney. It hides your real IP address that's it. Ffs

You can still drive a car without blue tooth. And most of the time the app supplied with any car is usually worse than useless.
