I was born in the 90s, and I have 2 favorite Disney films: Aladdin and the Little Mermaid. I will NEVER not enjoy Disney, it's such a HUMONGOUS part of ALL cultures, and has stayed with us for ages, I strongly believe that Disney will NEVER DIE!!!!
The Mulan and Pocahontas soundtracks shaped my childhood and I still listen to those songs to move me! Tarzan, Lion King, Hunchback, and Hercules go hard too!! The music in these movies is pure epicness. “I’ll Make a Man Out of You” is amazing to workout to!!
Probably because there was no Disney princess, the only movies people seem to remember the most are the ones with a female protagonist. Brother bear wasn't very memorable visually.

There's not a single Disney movie in history that didn't have at least one or two best songs and or soundtracks because as we all know the songs and music is one of the many things that Disney films are known for.
Agreed! Hell, even Chicken Little, which is often considered the worst Disney movie of all time, has a few bangers like One Little Slip and We Are the Champions.
I would consider "The Prince Of Egypt" as my favorite soundtrack even though is not a Disney movie but hey its got Hans Zimmer and Stephen Schwartz together, and who can not loved "When You Believe" by Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey.
I love the road to Eldorado soundtrack even though it’s not Disney… the fact that Elton John sang practically every song on the soundtrack is simply amazing!
@@TheImaginator972 I love Hans Zimmer, The Prince of Egypt soundtrack is one of my all time favorites and favorite animated films. My personal favorite song from The Lion King is “Mufasa’s Theme”. I would also recommend giving a listen to Hans Zimmer & Lorne Balfe soundtrack they did for the History Channel “Bible Series”. It’s just as haunting and beautiful as the Prince of Egypt soundtrack. I really loved the inclusion they did with Lisa Gerard.
Brother Bear didn't even get a mention? Phil Collins lent his singing voice throughout the movie. The ceremony following Sitka's untimely passing was bone-chilling, and the soundtrack after Kenai triumphs over the bear had an ambience to it. And how about the song that plays while Kenai makes his confession to Koda? That was a punch in the feels.
The intro to Two Worlds alone wipes the floor all of all these soundtracks and I grew up with Disney, but Phil Collins delivered something no one can even come close too. The way each song crafts the story and journey for these characters. Phil doesn't get near enough credit. Incredible. My all time favourite 💯💯
"You'll Be In My Heart" hits hard and always makes me cry because I think about my best friend who passed away when we were 19. Also "Part Of Your World" was my childhood anthem because both Ariel and I were born without the use of legs.
My personal favorite Disney soundtracks and songs from each film: Hunchback of Notre Dame - Hellfire Lion King - Mufasa’s Theme Beauty and The Beast - Prologue Theme Tarzan - Whole soundtrack Pocahontas - Whole soundtrack Mulan - Whole soundtrack Encanto - Whole soundtrack Moana - Whole soundtrack

@@lilac3266 I do appreciate how Disney is able to come up with many different diversities in one country for a movie, especially with Encanto. I was confused of where I could place it, but it's in 3rd place in my list after The Lion King and Beauty and the Beast. I enjoy more of Encanto songs than the BGM.
Really good list! My personal top five are Hercules, The Little Mermaid, The Jungle Book, Beauty and the Beast, and The Lion King. Encanto's right up there, too.
14:19 My favorite thing about The Hunchback of Notre Dame is the bit of choir and music that repeats throughout the movie [some of the times it's heard include thrice in The Bells of Notre Dame (first in the beginning before a lyric has even been sung, then as Frollo is attempting to "send the demon back to hell where it belongs", and again as the song is closing and we see Quasimodo ringing the bells), then in the instrumental "Paris Burning" as Phoebus dives into a burning windmill house to save a family after Frollo set it on fire after accusing the family of harboring gypsies, and in the closing moments of Hellfire as Frollo says the longest "burn" in the history of vocabulary].
After seeing The Lion King as the musical, I have discovered a new found love for the soundtrack-it was incredible! My favourite Disney soundtrack by far is Beauty and The Beast as that is my favourite, but yeah, definitely had my original love for The Lion King rekindled by seeing it live!
Got to see The Lion King on Broadway back in '17....I was crying at the end of Circle of Life. Double percussion & bass drums all mic'd. Endless Night might be my favorite song Not in the movie.
IMO the most iconic soundtracks belong to The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King, Frozen and Encanto respectively. They all contain the most legendary songs in the Disney canon.
Mulan is my most favorite Disney movie…with a strong female lead who wasn’t afraid to take chances and stand for what she believed in…way ahead of its time… love it till date..other include Hercules and Tarzan
It’s amazing how music isn’t something you can physically hold, but you can feel it in more ways than one and the great ones stay with you forever.😊💜 I absolutely love all the entries on the list, but “The Little Mermaid” and “Aladdin”were definitely played the most while I was growing up.😉💖
Whoever came up with the idea to combine gospel music and Greek mythology and the person who okayed it are hero’s in my book! While there are other soundtracks I enjoy more, Hercules has to be one of the most unique!
I have always considered, as a whole, that Tarzan has the absolute best soundtrack! It just hits in the feels so different than all the rest, although Lion King and Beauty and the Beast are high up there for me as well!
Pretty good list some of the sound tracks give me goosebumps at times especially some instrumental moments! Everyone world wide can feel and express different affections through music.
I was addicted to the soundtrack of Goofy Movie (the powerline song) and I didn’t know anyone else that had seen it 😂 The top three hit the nostalgia spot for me - my last Disney movies of youth before moving into teen hood, where Disney was “too young” and no longer “cool” ❤️
It is, but this is Disney. There are several amazing soundtracks. Let’s just say Disney knows how to get the best musicians involved in their projects. I’m just glad that Tarzan is up there because sometimes people forget about it.

Fantasia being in my life as a child is THE reason I grew up paying attention to, respecting, and loving not only movie and video game scores but also classical music.
I like how in this list you covered both the singing part AND the instrumental part of the soundtracks. The background music is just as important to the soundtrack as much as the singing in a Disney movie and it’s what evokes our emotions with the scene; epic music makes us feel like we’re in a battle or in a scary situation while sad music makes us cry. That’s why more than half of my music library is movie soundtracks, especially background music because I just love getting those feels that kind of music evokes
I agree these movies have amazing soundtracks, but I am very salty that Bambi was not mentioned. That movie has a beautiful vibe going on with the beautiful music, the art, everything about that movie was GORGEOUS. Can’t believe it wasn’t mentioned
I’ve always loved Lion King’s soundtrack so I’m stoked it’s number 1. However I’m surprised Brother Bear didn’t make it onto the list. The movie may not be a well received as some of the others on this list. But you can’t deny Phil Collins did it again with this soundtrack and who could forget Tina Turner sang the intro song
The Jungle Book was the only Disney movie my Daddy ever took me to see twice in the theater because he loved the big band swing by Louie Prima. I wore the soundtrack out!
Many great soundtracks here, but I feel like the Bambi Soundtrack is criminally underrated and should get more appreciation - the whole movie is a musical masterpiece, and the music is one of its most important ingredients! how it captures the wonders but also dangers of nature and the beauty of love and really lets you dive deep into the forest - also the songs are soo underrated, I love the chorus and that it is sung by the off, and the main song "love is a song" is one of my favorites and just so touching. also man's theme is so effective and the finale with the reprise to love is a song is one of disney's most epic musical moments. After all Bambi inspired Lion King. Another soundtrack that seems underrated in my mind is brother bear, everybody is talking about tarzan, but I equally and with some songs even more love the soundtrack of that movie - great spirits, on my way and no way out are such great songs! but I'm glad at least snow white got recognition and fantasia and hunchback and pocahontas :)

What else can I do is based on rock en espanol from the 90s and dos oruguitas and colombia mi encanto are both fully spanish
‘Aladdin’, one of my 10 most favorite Disney animated movies of all time.
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Phil Collins and Disney music go hand and hand. Seriously, he dominated the Brother Bear and Tarzan soundtrack. :D

My favorite thing about The Hunchback of Notre Dame is the bit of choir and music that repeats throughout the movie [some of the times it's heard include thrice in The Bells of Notre Dame (first in the beginning before a lyric has even been sung, then as Frollo is attempting to "send the demon back to hell where it belongs", and again as the song is closing and we see Quasimodo ringing the bells), then in the instrumental "Paris Burning" as Phoebus dives into a burning windmill house to save a family after Frollo set it on fire after accusing the family of harboring gypsies, and in the closing moments of Hellfire as Frollo says the longest "burn" in the history of vocabulary].
Thanks for appreciating Tarzan in the thumbnail!
My favourite soundtrack, never fails to pull on my heartstrings 🌱
Tarzan is the most underrated Disney movie. The music is perfection.
Stop, now you have "Why Should I Worry" stuck in my head again! But oh, man, SUCH a good song!
Disney is the best. My entire playlist is full of Disney songs!
great video :)
Disney songs are indeed the best!
They slapped
Brother Bear should have made the list, honestly. Phil Collins + Tina Turner? Such an underrated movie and soundtrack.
ONG
“Remember Me” from ‘Coco’ touched my heart everytime.
Rescuers Down Under is severely underrated… the lead up to the Marahute flight is spectacular and the recurring theme is just as special
Yes Mandy Moore sounds Amazing in Tangled, but let's not forget to give Zachary Levi (Flynn) some props as well.
Its still boggles my mind how underrated The Aristocats is.
Most Disney movies unfortunately are.
You forgot Tarzan
You forgot Hercules, Mulan & Tarzan
If you think about it, though, that’s one of Disney movie strengths that truly is amazing and lovable! Disney=creativity
Tarzan.
T A R Z A N
Now we need a list for best Dreamworks (and non-Disney in general) movies soundtracks. 🎼💖
If that list gets made, I'm calling it that Prince of Egypt tops it by a landslide
No doubt Anastasia would be included in that list.
@@annettedominguez7509 Absolutely no doubt. 👍💗
if anime movies count, MAKE WAY FOR POKEMON SECRETS OF THE JUNGLE RN
@@Rhea999-n8p Anime movies don’t count. They need and deserve a list of their own.
Lilo& Stitch should have definitely been on this list!
The film may not have done well in theaters, but I really love the song "I'm Still Here" from TREASURE PLANET.
Saw that in theaters when I was a kid
Tarzan's OST makes me emotional really often. And I'll never not crying at "You'll Be In My Heart"!
Mulan is my most favorite Disney movie…with a strong female lead who wasn’t afraid to take chances and stand for what she believed in…way ahead of its time… love it till date..other include Hercules and Tarzan
It’s amazing how music isn’t something you can physically hold, but you can feel it in more ways than one and the great ones stay with you forever.😊💜
I absolutely love all the entries on the list, but “The Little Mermaid” and “Aladdin”were definitely played the most while I was growing up.😉💖
I had a nostalgia kick while listening to this list. I grew up during the first Disney Renaissance. And my folks had a bunch of these movies on VHS.
I get Goosebumps whenever the music builds up as Simba takes the throne in The Lion King
Whoever came up with the idea to combine gospel music and Greek mythology and the person who okayed it are hero’s in my book! While there are other soundtracks I enjoy more, Hercules has to be one of the most unique!
For me, nothing can beat Pocahontas. That will forever be my number one. Thank you, Alan Menkin, the gifted genius.
Yes! #14 is a tragic ranking.
I have always considered, as a whole, that Tarzan has the absolute best soundtrack! It just hits in the feels so different than all the rest, although Lion King and Beauty and the Beast are high up there for me as well!
Tarzan, Lion King, Hunchback, Mulan, Encanto, Moana, and Pocahantas are my picks
Good to see “Oliver and Company” mentioned. That was one of my favourites when I was a kid. 🐱 🐶 🐕 🐶 🐶 🐶 🐩
And “The Aristocats”. And of course “The Lion King”. Oh, and “101 Dalmatians”.
is Oliver company on Disney plus they should make a live action one ! I only saw the loin king jungle book and alddin too!
@@allison3852yes it is my friend just look for it
Pretty good list some of the sound tracks give me goosebumps at times especially some instrumental moments! Everyone world wide can feel and express different affections through music.
I was addicted to the soundtrack of Goofy Movie (the powerline song) and I didn’t know anyone else that had seen it 😂
The top three hit the nostalgia spot for me - my last Disney movies of youth before moving into teen hood, where Disney was “too young” and no longer “cool” ❤️
Believe me, I’ve been tempted to cry in the alternate deleted ending of The Little Mermaid, especially when Ariel starts singing
Top 20 Catchiest Disney Sidekick Songs Ever!
Yess
How in gods name is Tarzan #4 … Phil’s album for the movie was perfection.
It is, but this is Disney. There are several amazing soundtracks. Let’s just say Disney knows how to get the best musicians involved in their projects. I’m just glad that Tarzan is up there because sometimes people forget about it.
@@stephaniemajors7697 yes, i agree the top 3 here are all incredible! However Phil's soundtrack album won a Grammy Award for Best Soundtrack Album...Did any of the others?
my favorite Disney soundtracks are Hunchback of Notre Dame and Tarzan! =)
I want to see Hans Zimmer live for the third time a few weeks ago, and he'd added the Stampede score to his Lion King set at the end of the concert. I BAWLED MY EYES OUT.
I keep hearing so much about Encanto it's insane. The movie and music must really be a game changer
Hercules' soundtrack has always won me over for years. 🔥💖
Finally got around to watching Encanto, but one of my friends showed me What Else Can I Do and Surface Pressure months ago and I loved both. So glad I got to see the others. I think Surface Pressure might be my favourite, though - so much emotion!
Tarzan and Encanto are my favorite soundtracks EVER, EVEN THE INSTRUMENTALS ARE ABSOLUTE BANGERS (i also love The Huchback of Notre Dame, Hercules and Alladin sm)
early for the first time in forever There'll be music, there'll be light
For the first time in forever
I'll be dancing through the night
Don't know if I'm elated or gassy
But I'm somewhere in that zone
'Cause for the first time in forever
I won't be alone
I can't wait to meet everyone!
What if I meet the one?
Tonight imagine me gown and all
Fetchingly draped against the wall
The picture of sophisticated grace
Ooh! I suddenly see him standing there
A beautiful stranger, tall and fair
I wanna stuff some chocolate in my face
But then we laugh and talk all evening
Which is totally bizarre
Nothing like the life I've led so far
For the first time in forever
There'll be magic, there'll be fun
For the first time in forever
I could be noticed by someone
And I know it is totally crazy
To dream I'd find romance
But for the first time in forever
At least I've got a chance
Don't let them in, don't let them see
Be the good girl you always have to be
Conceal, don't feel, put on a show
Make one wrong move and everyone will know
But it's only for today
It's only for today
It's agony to wait
It's agony to wait
Tell the guards to open up the gate
The gate
For the first time in forever
Don't let them in, don't let them see
I'm getting what I'm dreaming of
Be the good girl you always have to be
A chance to change my lonely world
Conceal
A chance to find true love
Conceal, don't feel, don't let them know
I know it all ends tomorrow
So it has to be today
'Cause for the first time in forever
For the first time in forever
Nothing's in my way!
💕💕💕💕💕👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🤗
We can certainly see the strengths of the Disney Renaissance… and seeing the newer pieces like frozen, Moana, Encanto, shows the Mouse is still musically a wonder! This was a fun look.

Fantasia being in my life as a child is THE reason I grew up paying attention to, respecting, and loving not only movie and video game scores but also classical music.
tarzan is my favorite soundtrack thanks to this legend phil collins 💙💙💙
He went so hard
I like how in this list you covered both the singing part AND the instrumental part of the soundtracks. The background music is just as important to the soundtrack as much as the singing in a Disney movie and it’s what evokes our emotions with the scene; epic music makes us feel like we’re in a battle or in a scary situation while sad music makes us cry. That’s why more than half of my music library is movie soundtracks, especially background music because I just love getting those feels that kind of music evokes
Ever since Encanto came out, I've been listening to its soundtrack endlessly because it's so amazing! :)
I agree these movies have amazing soundtracks, but I am very salty that Bambi was not mentioned. That movie has a beautiful vibe going on with the beautiful music, the art, everything about that movie was GORGEOUS. Can’t believe it wasn’t mentioned
I always get choked up during that final scene of Lion King.
Without a doubt, so many classic Disney soundtracks are legendary
Number one is my absolute favorite
Pocahontas! Nice choice!
The Nightmare Before Christmas
WM: Is it a Christmas or Halloween movie?
Me: Why not both? 🤷🏼♀️
I love those 5 honorable mentions of Disney movies.
Big fan of all the movies appearing in this list
I really think Alan Menken is the quintessential Disney composer
Agreed
Beauty and the beast still has the most touching soundtrack
This right here 💯, the Bambi and Brother Bear soundtracks are so underrated, also I think the Sleeping Beauty soundtrack deserved to be on here too.
Phil Collins absolutely slayed the songs for Tarzan!!! I hoped that would be top 5
Jungle Book Lion King and the Little Mermaid also Tangled.
Brother bear should have been top 5 on this list! Also lilo and stitch music was amazing!
Tarzan and lion king are the best🔥🔥🔥.
Tarzan, Mulan, Lion King, Hercules and hunchback of Notre Dame are my top 10 favorites
Back when Disney soundtracks were awesome✨💞
Back when Disney WAS awesome...
Treasure Planet is a dark horse for music, such an underrated movie
My favorites are The Aristocats and Alice in Wonderland (1951)!!
