Cinderella (2015) was the best remake that Disney has ever made, I've seen it countless times and I still enjoyed it till this day. Yep. The first Alice In Wonderland was really good, it took inspiration from but was different in a good way. Cinderella knocked it out of the park. What these two also had in common was they weren't musicals. However they got sloppy and just copied and pasted and then decided to make musicals with people who couldn't sing.

While I personally enjoyed Emma Watson's portrayal of Belle in the 2017 Beauty and the Beast, I do agree with your sentiments. Disney should cut back on the remakes. The fact they're remaking Snow White and Lilo and Stitch in 2025 definitely raises eyebrows.

@@OpticalSorcerer Yeah, they decided the historically accurate (NOT) movie should be directed by an Australian woman. Then they hired a communist, police brutality supporting actress (Liu) and filmed some scenes where people are being abused, mistreated and stripped of their culture (concentration camps). Worst remake for all those reasons.
I absolutely loved all of Jasmine's outfits in the remake. All of the costumes are phenomenal, really. On the flip side, I was floored that THAT is what they did with Belle's ball gown. It looks like a cheap ugly prom dress that you'd get in the mail after ordering it from a shady website.
That because Emma refused to wear corset and all the necessary accessory to puff up the gown. I do agree though...the design itself was unflattering...unlike Cinderella's gown - breathtakingly beautiful
I've even seen multiple UA-camrs make what SHOULD have been Belle's ballgown and theirs are all infinitely superior to the yellow garish mess we received.
NGL, if the remake of "Aladdin" removed Aladdin lying to Jasmine (and maybe just doing it for legal reasons rather than trying to impress her), I would've considered it superior.
As far as Aladdin goes OK when Jasmine was found out by the “police” and Alladins like that’s princess jasmine?! as he’s forced to bow down to her there’s so many elements of the remakes that are not in the originals and I would much prefer the originals I’m sorry even if they are cartoons optical sorcerer you forget in the original Jasmine also lies to Aladdin- so they’re on a level playing field she lied to him and he lied to her but in the original she was found out and forced to reveal who she really was
@@Vixen743 Jasmine never lied to Aladdin about who she was; she just didn't want to talk about it. Aladdin purposefully set out to decieve Jasmine in order to win her heart, while Jasmine was just trying to go under the radar and escape being kept in the palace.
@ optical I think you’re forgetting NOT TELLING SOMEBODY WHO YOU ARE IS LYING- you may be hiding who you are but in that sense that’s not telling the truth!!! She also said when they were in his little hideout she was the handmaid to the princess remember???And when she realizes who that “prince” is by putting on her bracelet on her without her realizing it- because the monkey stole it remember??she noticed wait a sec--this is the boy from this morning, and then she switches places with her handmaid which is also a lie
@Vixen743 Um...that's not the same? Aladdin asks her where she's from, and she says "Who cares? I'm not going back." She didn't omit anything; she literally told him that she didn't wanna talk about it. She never misled Aladdin. Though the remake did add that issue, I can agree.
Bruh they had a 300 million dollar budget for the little mermaid and we barely had any new or existing costumes YET for cruella they had a budget of 100-200 million dollar and STILL managed to have iconic costumes
Cinderella (2015) was the best remake. Lily James had Cinderella strong, but not acting like a feminist, but kind and courageous. The chemistry between Cinderella and the Prince was huge.
9:58 to be fair, the one to truly blame for this dress is Emma Watson. I love Emma but her idea that Belle's looks should be more in line with a feminist aproach (Light & easy to move in ) was what truly killed this dress. Sure, she was not the one who designed it but i doubt she would agree to use a version more inspired on the animation (with a big puffy skirt & long gloves)
Not only that, but her refusal of corsetry saying corsets are essentially anti-feminist. A load of rot. Maybe Emma Watson is smart, but there's a damn reason corsetry was necessary for evening gowns in the past. All those skirts weigh a ton and a corset or stays gives structure and helps hold all that weight. That's why her dress is in that lighter sort of chiffon material and doesn't have much volume compared to the original. Anyone who actually studies fashion history knows that corsetry is not this symbol of oppression its made out to be. It's no more malicious than a bra.
@@ElizabethMcCormick-s2n I say this as someone who studied fashion history and design. You can't make ballgowns without structure and even then they're not comfortable but people have the issue with the structure and not the actual garment causing discomfort. Not only that but tightlacing was not a common practise but a trend and not even possible until the mid 1800s and the live action film is apparently set in the mud 1700s were they would be using stays and not corsets anyway. Different things, same purpose which is structure. Not only that, but corsetry was worn by all classes, so working women also wore them. There had to be a degree of flexibility and comfort. Also, corsets were not just for women. There was also male corsetry that was certainly not uncommon. In one point in time, it was popular for a man to have puffed chests so they'd pad their chests and corset to make the effect more noticeable. In short, corsets are hardly the biggest example of anti feminist clothing at all. Hell, I would argue the modern day is far worse in terms of clothing.
On the subject of Snow White’s bob haircut (which is seemingly the least of the movies issues) what if they had done some classic 1920s flapper style haircuts? A simple internet search will give you a hundred styles that would look so much better!
Years ago I got to see Cinderella's dress in person on an exposition, and I can tell you, in person it is even more breath taking, a superb piece of art.
SNL's Belle Yellow Gown Dress of their parody of Beauty and the Beast, doesn't seem to be iconic, given its cheap-looking TV quality. The live-action Belle Yellow Gown Dress of the 2017 live-action Beauty and the Beast and alongside its animated Belle Yellow Gown Dress of the 1991 animated version are the ones that were iconic, to each of their very own.
I loved Jasmine’s new look 🩵 As much as I like the live action we make of Beauty and the Beast (I love the original), they did screw over Belle her the yellow ball gown which is why I like the original a little more than the remake They absolutely improved Cinderella’s dress in the remake 💙💙💙💗
All of 2019 Jasmine's looks were BREATHTAKING. As a huge fan of the entire franchise, I think the costumes were what I was most excited to see in the remake and they did not disappoint. I don't understand the hate that movie gets; it was clearly made with a lot of love even if the studio behind it just saw it as a cash grab. I loved it!

Fitting, as the actress playing her has a harsh/acrid personality.... Which kind of sucks for us to have to even know that! Disney gotta sew these mouths shut & they'll be doing a lot better.
I am not sure about the other live-action outfits. But I actually enjoy Ariel's mermaid tail and Mulan's warrior suit in both of their live action remakes. But I do dislike Belle's ball gown in the 2017 version. Jasmine's outfit and Cinderella's ball gown will probably be the best redesigns ever in my my opinion.
You ignorant fool. Your invalid statements about Belle's Yellow Gown Dress are peppered with nothing more but lies after lies and the very wrong info that you've got. There's nothing wrong with Belle's Yellow Gown; Absolutely None of all of it.🙅🙅🙅🙅🙅🙅
I find it hard to believe that Sandy Powell designed the dresses for both live action _Cinderella_ and _Snow White_ . Ella's dress is magical. Snow White's dress looks like it came from Party City.
I think for snow white it's the actress or studio inteferance. It was to much what would be comfortable for the actress than what would look good. For example the top part isn't tightened up at all. The actress has been saying how she had to be in the costume for 16 hours.
The "special look" aside from Disney trying to show Rachel Zegler isn't simply a horrible person by showing her singing as princess farquaad, is the heart necklace engraved with "Fearless, Fair, Brave, True" that Disney is going to try and sell to try and recoup some the $300bn+ they spent on a flop starring Rachel Zegler.
I love Ariel’s live-action tail and hair. But they really should have stuck with the seashell bra. They could have made it incredibly beautiful with things like mother-of-pearl or clamshells and pearls. The scales just look off, like what is the point of a mermaid even having boobs if she just grows scales where a human would have nipples. What would be the purpose of fat accumulating there? It doesn’t make sense realistically-or at least as realistic as pertains to fish-humans-or stylistically. Belle’s ballgown is lackluster compared to the OG (and even the excuse that Emma Watson refused to wear a corset doesn’t hold up, since you can’t even tell if Belle’s wearing one in the original film!), but it’s not terrible. It’s just a pale imitation. That Snow White gown, though, is nothing short of god-awful! From the ugly hair to the weird way the skirt attaches to the bodice to the sleeves to the garish color palette, it’s hideous. Honestly, they could have just repurposed one of the walk-around Snow White dresses from the parks and it would look better than that abomination of fabric.
Your pathetic insolent statements about Belle's Yellow Ballgown Dress are nothing but all lies after lies, all of it. That dress is not lackluster and to have it compared to the original, would be an unfair statement right there. Furthermore, that Belle's Yellow Gown Dress is not an pale imitation, and let alone the fact that there's nothing about the dress; None of it.🙅🙅
And as for that Ariel's costumes and its looks, those are the ones that are the pale imitations and the ones that had a lackluster if not a horrible, awful and dreadful quality, you ignorant fool.
Isn't it still a piece of clothing made out of scales rather than an actual part of her body. Besides, merpeople anatomy in general has much bigger issues on the lower half. How do they expel waste or reproduce with no visible means of doing so? Can you even tell the difference between a merman and a mermaid as babies?
Snow White's dress looks like a children's costume. And this is because the idea of Snow White's dress is blue and yellow when it is actually more of a cream color, not bright yellow. It works well for children or Halloween, but not for a multi-million dollar movie.
I actually was thinking of that during the review. If they had gone more subtle and light on the yellow, more towards cream, it could have pulled it off beautifully. I do feel like they seem to be sabotaging the movie, though.
The best costumes for any remade princess movie is the French remake of Beauty and the Beast the whole thing is absolutely gorgeous and the story is very well done too.
The best remakes have been Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and the first Maleficent. Mufasa and Cruella are pretty good as well, but that's because they are approached with original new ideas
I don’t agree with Beauty and the Beast being one of the better remakes. There was nothing original about it. The dialogue was almost word for word the same as the animated version. In many parts of the movie, the set looked fake. I thought The Little Mermaid was better, just because everything was so much more fun to look at. But even then, with it being another word for word remake, with nothing new to add, it was only marginally better.
What about The Jungle Book done in 2016? The remake was actually BETTER than the original cartoon. Mowgli wasn’t so annoying like he was in the original. Neel Sethi was great as Mowgli. Plus, we got Ben Kingsley as Bagheera, Idris Elba as Shere Khan, Bill Murray as Baloo, etc., etc. etc. The cast really helped make the remake stand out and was one of my favorites. I’m not huge on Disney remaking their movies for the most part because they have no original ideas anymore and the movies tend to be just cash grabs but they did justice with this movie.
@brandy4530 of course Beauty and the Beast isn't new and original, I agree. I just personally think it's one of the better remakes versus something completely awful like the Dumbo and Pinnocio remakes. I do like the Lion King remake, but I know most people don't so I don't consider it the best in comparison. Mufasa and Cruella are the live action movies I don't consider 'remakes' because they are new stories in a particular movie franchise and are pretty decent.
@sarahprince2412 the statement that disney has no more ideas is less original then a live action remake walt disney himself was telling original stories he was instead adapting stories and bringing them to life with the latest technology at the time and hollywood has been made remakes, adaptations, reboots, prequels and sequels since the start and obviously original stories are important u better so up to theatres if want studios to continue making them but im sure some of favourite movies were based on a book, comic or even other movies like i dare u to find a year without any reboots, remakes, sequels, prequels, adaptations
The Little Mermaid remake had some great ideas for dresses that they could’ve done. Even though I think the blue one is pretty (the pink one was okay at best) I would’ve liked to have seen some of the sketches that the people behind-the-scenes had ideas for come to life. It makes me wonder why remakes are afraid to be bright and colorful anymore. Cinderella was amazingly bright and colorful.
Disgraceful. Cheap as HECK looking for such an expensive movie. What a missed opportunity.... Little Mermaid was my #1 growing up. And ironically Cinderella was my least but she got a respectful treatment & her dress is absolutely gorgeous under any way you look at it!!
i did like Lilly's Cinderella, but i would've preferred the final ball gown to be that same pale-blue/silver colour as the original instead of the bright blue in the movie.
I feel like Disney has been gaslighting us for years, depicting her dress as blue in storybooks, on dolls, and on VHS/DVD cases when we can clearly see in the movie that it's silver.
It´s still hilarious how the director of mulan the live action fiasco said she wanted the movie to be more realistic, so instead of her being smart and strategic she got magical powers and could fly XD. Also the original disney movie mulan is based of a retelling by an american man of the original chinese balad and not the acctual ballad itself)
I didn't mind Belle's ballgown in the remake. Sure it could've been more glamorous but also considering she rides off in the dress to save her father, that probably also had a factor in the design. Galloping away on horse, the dress needed flexibility. (also that really bothered me in the classic vers, her dad is facing death in the woods but she had time to change outta her dress lol) However I definitely agree on Cinds ballgown. That was perfect and suited her incredibly.
Honestly I feel like Cinderella’s dress in the 2015 remake is the only one that truly improved the outfit. All the other remakes are usually nowhere near as awesome as the original. And then there’s Cinderella’s dress that not only is better than the original but better than pretty much every single other Disney princess dress….EVER
Cinderella's dress is simply breathtaking and even the metamorphosis when she receives it it's iconic and better than the original one of the cartoon. Period.
Oh yeah Jasmine’s dress was very gorgeous and didn’t get destroyed like other outfits. Still not as beautiful as Cinderella’s dress but it’s still so beautiful
7:55 The costume department could literally gone on Pinterest to find some adorable 30s curly bobs that would have looked so much better..... Instead they put that Lord Farquaad wig on her head and called a day🤦🏻♀️😅
@IshaParbhoo They keep pushing it back because they keep releasing sneak peeks that everyone despises, the main character opens her mouth and makes everyone angry again, so Disney shuts it down, does some other work on it, and we start at the top.
For all the live-action adaptations of various older & recent Disney movies, I like just about all the new looks of every Disney princess outfit because they look 10 times better than the animated versions.
I agree. I am surprised at all the negative comments about the clothes of the live action remakes. I think the costumers do a phenomenal job! And I love Belle's beautiful yellow ballgown. It's gorgeous and looks awesome while she is dancing. Some people seem to just watch these movies to criticize.
Cinderella is the only one I watched. I fell asleep during beauty and the beast. I also avoided all the other remakes. Why bother when the originals are already fantastic.
I’m more into live action than animation, but I will admit that with animation, there is much more indescribable freedom and imagination that can be accomplished that live action simply cannot.
I actually like Ariel's mermaid look, but I think they should've given her hair a closer shade to red because the one she has in the movie sometimes looks washed out
It would be nearly impossible for the actress to get the shade of red in question that would match the original Little Mermaid character’s hair color. Red is such a rare hair color and it doesn’t come out so naturally when people dye their hair red at all. I know this because I am a redhead myself.
@@KaylaPearlCPNinja I don't think they should've matched the shade of the animated version, I just think they should have picked a color that leans towards a shade of red that resembles the original to give her her signature look instead of giving her a natural shade that washers her out
Cinderella"s ball dress is stunning and Sandy Powell made that dress with butterflys on the dress and Kenneth Branagh did direct this movie back in 2015 . I'm a big of Kenneth Branagh

Thank you for mentioning “Christopher Robin,” because it is one of my favorite #disney live-action remakes. So much nostalgia because Winnie-the-Pooh is my childhood.
"Damned if you do, damned if you don't" is what this video exemplifies wonderfully, imo. In some cases people are unhappy because it strayed too far from the original, in others people are unhappy because they didn't change it enough. 😅
That's why a remake when they are able to do it right (like in Cinderella) is so appreciated. It's not impossible to please the majority of people, the creators are just lazy that's all.
@@chelyvi7466 "It's not impossible to please the majority of people." Maybe not. But let me ask you, how is one supposed to know what "the right way" is, though, when such mixed signals are given? I'm just pointing out how perfectly that exemplifies the saying "damned if you do, damned if you don't." Speaking in general terms, not just in relation to this video, some people ARE impossible to please and live to criticize. This video exemplifies that sentiment greatly. 🤷🏻♀️
It's completely finished already (filming and post production as well) and did cost them a fortune. They would be dumb to not release it now, to make back at least a little from their expenses.
Little mermaid live action was insult towards the animation. They could've at least sticked with the original bright red hair not that lifeless brown whatever the hell it was colour!. Rihanna proved that it can look stunning as well!
More the fact that either Anya Taylor-Joy or Maya Hawke would look the role of Ariel that stunning, alongside the red hair looks and its costumes, and let alone that decision of race-swapping of Ariel was a huge grave mistake, and a grave insult to the source material (the animated film and by the novel itself that was based on).
I was never a fan of Belle’s blue and white outfit in the animated film, but I really liked the version Emma Watson wore. I would say the yellow dress Watson wore was neither an upgrade nor a downgrade. I would disagree about the Little Mermaid outfits, I liked the Live-action versions better than the animated version. I liked the live-action matchmaker outfit better than the animated one. The live-action Snow White dress is fine, except I would prefer if they kept it short-sleeved. And the Cinderella dress is a GREAT improvement to the animated version.

Sorry, but the Little Mermaid Maid looks were all fine. They were good. The only thing that came short was her sparkly dress at the end of the original.
Cinderella was the ONLY live action version that was any good. All of the others, never should have been made. This was mostly due to the horrible casting choices.
I actually think it was Belle’s red dress, rather than the golden one, that was the let-down. The gold one is still stunningly beautiful and dances effortlessly. But the red one seems confused as to whether it’s a live action version of the animated one, or just a red version of the (much better) blue dress.
Basically the live action versions all changed the lead female characters to be stronger and independent (instead of waiting to be saved by the kiss from a guy) to adjust to current woke trends. I don't think that's necessarily an upgrade.
Princess Belle has always been my fave Princess and all time favorite movie. I really loved the live action movie, and yeah, the dress hasn't really much improved, but i still loved it ^^
Disney should re-imagining Thumbelina 1994 instead of live action in CGI animation with sabrina carpenter as the voice of thumbelina, Alex Aiono as the voice of prince cornelius, Nicki Minaj as Mrs toad, James Corden as Jacquimo, Seth MacFarlane as Berkeley Beetle and Kristin Chenoweth as Mrs Fieldmouse✨🧚♀
Well damn, you should see if Disney is hiring!!! That's a better idea than anything they've tried to come up with as of late. They got casting issues... But you dont !
Agree on Cinderella being the most outstandingly beautiful dress of all time and Mulan’s look being completely ruined. However, I liked Ariel’s outfits in live action. Both mermaid and human. I thought the dresses were actually quite modern and the pastel suited Halle Berry perfectly.
Disney's work has been awful for a while now. They are too busy with their war with the prejudice groups. Which is why the quality of their work has suffered.

I love 2015 Cinderella's ballgown look, every scene that dress is in takes my breath away! I don't agree with Ariel's mermaid look, i think it works. Yeah it could have been a bikini top but i didn't mind going for something more...fish like. Especially when Ariel is in bright scenes underwater I think her mermaid look just glows! I just really like it 😊
Im apparently the weird one, but i loved Belles yellow dress. Almost everything about the movie was more realistic to the period (except obviously being fantasy) so having a dress that was less pazzazz kind of actually does make sense. And whsn thsy showed the close ups (obviously cgi with the gold leafing, but still) it was amazing! I dont get why everyone hates on it so much. I hated the Little Mermaid costum design. All around, hated it
In the new Aladdin I mean it was a good movie but they didn’t have any elements of her turquoise outfit and they kept it really toned down with the colors you can tell by the because of the lighting that’s how they altered her outfits to make them seem more turquoise than they really were
I actually like Ariel's mermaid look but a seashell top would've been cute. They could've made it more ornate or something like her father's mother-of-pearl armor. I do understand why they didn't go for it since in the climax after the third day, she'd basically be topless unless they let her stay in the human dress while still having her tail. She definitely deserved more human dresses though. Prince Eric had like a total of two outfits while Vanessa had like three or four variations despite her 7 minutes of screen time lol
Belle’s ball gown wasn’t bad compared to Ariel’s blue dress in the remake. Ariel’s Blue Dress should’ve taken the number 1 spot in the Should’ve Left It Alone side.
Why does disney insist on making live action in the first place? Taking their classics and trying to WOKE them up only takes away from the quality of the original!
Disney has been making live-action since in the 1990s, most particularly with the live-action adaptation of 1996's 101 Dalmatians. That being said, it was not until in 2010 that Disney began making a trend of live-action adaptation of movies from their animated vault, starting with Tim Burton's 2010 Alice in Wonderland.
@@ajpat9620 That is true, and every one of them has lost money for the studio. The Alice in Wonderland fims, are new adaptations of the classic story. They have nothing to do with the original animated movie other than a title and a few characters really.
I disagree with your take on the “outfit” Ariel “wears”. The scales make more sense as fish scales are iridescent in reality. A flat plain tail and seashells would have looked weird.
Cinderella is by far the best live-action remake and that blue gown is stunning. Lily James was perfectly cast. And yes, Belle's live-action yellow ball gown is ugly.

NO SHANG NOR MUSHU? I refuse to watch even if the original is my favourite film.
They should have made Belle's dress like Cinderella's, but yellow
Basically the original.
I've even seen multiple UA-camrs make what SHOULD have been Belle's ballgown and theirs are all infinitely superior to the yellow garish mess we received.
That would be so beautiful
I literally have dreams when I wear Cinderella's ball gown from the live action remake
Let's be honest, even if there are some improved elements here and there in the remakes, there's no way they could top the OG classics!
Most of the budget went to the actress’ hair?
Cinderella and Cruella both are the best live made movie from Disney
Cinderella (2015) was the best remake. Lily James had Cinderella strong, but not acting like a feminist, but kind and courageous. The chemistry between Cinderella and the Prince was huge.
The writers were wise to have Ella and Kit meet prior to the ball.
And she can't sing very well!
Physically she was not the best choice for me. Belle is my favorite 🤩. I was underwhelmed
@@pufferfish4554Uh huh, sure!
I liked Mirror Mirror. It wasn't a conventional Snow White movie, but that was made it so awesome.
that and "Ever After", which I guess Kenneth Branagh took notes from

Cinderella (2015) is the best film 💙
Disney's motto to "please everyone" is what ruins everything
Years ago I got to see Cinderella's dress in person on an exposition, and I can tell you, in person it is even more breath taking, a superb piece of art.
Cinderella’s blue dress is astounding!
live action Belle's tucked skirt is practical as even paved roads were filthy
SNL's "Beauty and the Beast"'s Belle ball gown is much more iconic
SNL's Belle Yellow Gown Dress of their parody of Beauty and the Beast, doesn't seem to be iconic, given its cheap-looking TV quality.
The live-action Belle Yellow Gown Dress of the 2017 live-action Beauty and the Beast and alongside its animated Belle Yellow Gown Dress of the 1991 animated version are the ones that were iconic, to each of their very own.
@@ajpat9620 Disney version looks cheap

All of 2019 Jasmine's looks were BREATHTAKING. As a huge fan of the entire franchise, I think the costumes were what I was most excited to see in the remake and they did not disappoint. the coloring in the snow white remake gives everything a acrid or harsh tone, especially the yellow in her dress

There's nothing wrong with Belle's Yellow Gown; Absolutely None of all of it.🙅🙅🙅🙅🙅🙅
Cinderella's dress is the prettiest 💙💙
"Princess Farquaad!" Hahahaha! That's epic!
Saying something doesn’t make sense “realistically” about a fairy tale made up creature is just 🤦🏻♀️😂
Isn't it still a piece of clothing made out of scales rather than an actual part of her body.
Snow White looks good in the parks, the parades and the 2004 musical in Disneyland was an upgrade
Couldn't they take note.
Jasmine's red outfit from the original was her best outfit.
I absolutely adore Cinderella's live action dress, it is just immaculate!
The best costumes for any remade princess movie is the French remake of Beauty and the Beast the whole thing is absolutely gorgeous and the story is very well done too.
Honestly, they should’ve left Aurora’s. animation is timeless.
Clearly they don’t understand fabric. The animated Belle’s dress would not have twirled in real life the way it does in the animated film.
C'mon, even the Belle's around disney parks have much better dresses and they twirled just fine.

The Cinderella dress is so iconic. I remember going to see the movie & I was wearing the live action gown💖
@@sarahprince2412 oh yeah, I forgot about that movie.
I wouldn’t see the new little mermaid if you paid me!!!
@@Vixen743 That's your choice, Vixen!
It sort of reminds me of Disney's use of blacklights on rides. For example, how blue Wendy's gown is in Peter Pan's Flight 🩵
I think the color would have not translated as well in a live action, the elaborate backgrounds would have drowned the dress.
I feel like Disney has been gaslighting us for years, depicting her dress as blue in storybooks, on dolls, and on VHS/DVD cases when we can clearly see in the movie that it's silver.
Cinderella as the 2015 magical live adaptation it is, I’d say it’s one of the best. Walt Disney would be proud
Cinderella 2015 was the best 💙
First place for me was defenitly Cinderella, second place would go to Jasmine!
Completly changing the ethnicity of a character that is well known for 30 years is the biggest flop ever Ariel's iconic red hair, purple seashells.
I also love the godmother upgrade look in live action. It reminds me of the godmother from "slipper and the rose" version
I didn't mind Belle's ballgown in the remake. Sure it could've been more glamorous but also considering she rides off in the dress to save her father, that probably also had a factor in the design. Galloping away on horse, the dress needed flexibility.
(also that really bothered me in the classic vers, her dad is facing death in the woods but she had time to change outta her dress lol)
However I definitely agree on Cinds ballgown.
Period.
Kudos to the Fairy Godmother too. Helena Bonham Carter never looked so beautiful.
Oh yeah Jasmine’s dress was very gorgeous and didn’t get destroyed like other outfits. Still not as beautiful as Cinderella’s dress but it’s still so beautiful

When is coming out?
@IshaParbhoo They keep pushing it back because they keep releasing sneak peeks that everyone despises, the main character opens her mouth and makes everyone angry again, so Disney shuts it down, does some other work on it, and we start at the top.

I completely disagree on Belle's ball gown....the little details from the chandelier thing that floated down....I thought it was beautiful!!
Nothing will ever beat Lily James' ballgown
I actually like Ariel's mermaid look, but I think they should've given her hair a closer shade to red because the one she has in the movie sometimes looks washed out
Needed a better, vibrant dress. Even if not all were, at least ONE showstopper..
It would be nearly impossible for the actress to get the shade of red in question that would match the original Little Mermaid character’s hair color. Red is such a rare hair color and it doesn’t come out so naturally when people dye their hair red at all.
I know this because I am a redhead myself.
@@KaylaPearlCPNinja I don't think they should've matched the shade of the animated version, I just think they should have picked a color that leans towards a shade of red that resembles the original to give her her signature look instead of giving her a natural shade that washers her out
Or maybe just a different natural shade that doesn't make her look washed out...
Cinderella"s ball dress is stunning and Sandy Powell made that dress with butterflys on the dress and Kenneth Branagh did direct this movie back in 2015 . I'm a big of Kenneth Branagh

Why won't they just cancel The Snow White Movie?
It's completely finished already (filming and post production as well) and did cost them a fortune. They would be dumb to not release it now, to make back at least a little from their expenses.
They should put it on streaming but cancel the theatrical release.
Aladdin was really good too Jasmine glow up though a little forced was decently executed
BEAUTY AND THE BEAST IS AMAZING

They fell short of any kind of showstopper dress 😞 Really dropped the ball on that one....
Cinderella was the ONLY live action version that was any good. All of the others, never should have been made. This was mostly due to the horrible casting choices.
8:02 the bob in here is much better than in the movie 😭
I actually think it was Belle’s red dress, rather than the golden one, that was the let-down. The gold one is still stunningly beautiful and dances effortlessly. But the red one seems confused as to whether it’s a live action version of the animated one, or just a red version of the (much better) blue dress.
Basically the live action versions all changed the lead female characters to be stronger and independent (instead of waiting to be saved by the kiss from a guy) to adjust to current woke trends. I don't think that's necessarily an upgrade.
I mean even the fairy god mother got a massive upgrade and not just in the dress but the actress too. HBC is always amazing.

All around, hated it
In the new Aladdin I mean it was a good movie but they didn’t have any elements of her turquoise outfit and they kept it really toned down with the colors you can tell by the because of the lighting that’s how they altered her outfits to make them seem more turquoise than they really were
the little mermaid being period acurate is a joke XD.
Live Action Ariel is my favorite of the live action princess
I actually like Ariel's mermaid look but a seashell top would've been cute. They could've made it more ornate or something like her father's mother-of-pearl armor. I do understand why they didn't go for it since in the climax after the third day, she'd basically be topless unless they let her stay in the human dress while still having her tail. She definitely deserved more human dresses though. Prince Eric had like a total of two outfits while Vanessa had like three or four variations despite her 7 minutes of screen time lol
Happy thursday afternoon, Emily, take care and God bless you, greetings from Colombia to you as well
Belle’s ball gown wasn’t bad compared to Ariel’s blue dress in the remake. Ariel’s Blue Dress should’ve taken the number 1 spot in the Should’ve Left It Alone side.
Recently just watched Cinderella again, always give me chills when they dance at the ball. So beautiful and majestic.
