Ron Howard and the older Wonderful World of Disney is so much a part of my childhood. Disney lost its heart and soul over the past few years. Im glad there are still the Classics to come home to.
Ron Howard has been a part of my life for many yrs through THE ANDY GRIFFITH SHOW....bc I think of me and my dad when I see Ron and Andy on their way down the dirt Rd to fish....my dad was also a policeman 😊❤❤❤
Although I don't remember way back in 64, but I'll bet my bottom dollar that I seen this movie just like the countless Disney movies... we would watch them on Sunday nights around 7 / 7:30 when it came on but have to go to bed right after being I was born in 58, but our mother always had snacks to go along with our movie popcorn, ice cream or potato chips... the good o'l days long gone.✌️
Excellent character building movies! Just what children and youth of today should be putting in their minds instead of trashy and violent movies. Let kids grow up being kids and enjoying their childhood! Thank you for sharing!
An oldy for sure. Nice clean family movie, little bit of action, good plot, and decent colour. Just around the time this movie was made my family got our first colour T.V.
Wonderful Film! I hope a lot of children & adult's see this film to remind them of what kindness, love, friendships, respecting others, and helping your each other looks like. Instead of handing a child a video Game filled with violence that can be addictive & gives a false sense of reality & numbs their feelings of empathy & compassion. Set them down and may they learn about carrying & kindness. Thank you for sharing these films that helped us as children learn morals, manners, respect & kindness. 💜🕊 ,🦢🎶
Every Sunday at 6pm we waited. Ole Walt sure knew what he was doing. Gave us hope for the underdog. Hope was for some of us the only thing we had that was our own back then. I've watched TV and all grow to something that's shameful and can't say it's for the better one bit. I can remember a lot of the changes from prayer removed from school to the News reporting good of the neighborhood to the evil of the world. From 3 channels that went off at midnight to the nonsense we have today. Wasn't even a word for reruns back then. Everything was new. And now it's gone. Suffer the little children. There's no such thing as a childhood now a days.
I remember Walt and the good life back in the day, born in1952. We used to love our neighbors and children respected all adults we listened to them talk and learned from them. Didn't have to lock our doors. Mothers were at home with there children. What happened? Now everyone is living in turmoil , confusion and fear just 50 years later. Very sad. Very sad to watch.
Yes, David it is sad. I’m 1954. The United States of America is the way it is because we rejected the God who made it what the people who fought for freedom wanted it to be. Little by little our sins became great. It’s a spiritual war. It was then and it is now. Only for opposite reasons. Then we believed and God blessed us. Now we are paying the consequences for telling Him we don’t want Him. ✝️
I don’t know how to thank you for these wonderful old “Wonderful World of Disney” shows . Oh how I wish they would Keep the Walt in Disney. We no longer spend a cent on the whole messed up Disney Corporation.
Don’t give up hope, there is still reason to love Disney. I believe Walt is still a big part of the company, which I why I chose the name, Keeping Walt in Disney. He’s still there and I just want to help ensure that he’s not forgotten!
Thank you! I still believe that Walt’s spirit is alive and it’s up to us to keep it that away. I’ve all but disassociated Walt with the current film output. They’ve even removed his name from the current title sequences and opening credits.
Thanks for uploading these old classic Disney movies from the 60s an 70s.I own a few Disney Classics from the Disney movie Club. But am glad to find your channel, so I can try to watch every episode from The Wonderful World Of Disney from the 40s to the 90s.
Thanks 'Keeping Walt in Disney' for posting this movie. A surprisingly good movie that I had never heard of previously. I'm going to search for a DVD version for my grandsons. It's obvious that the actors enjoyed making it and the scene that I found very enjoyable was the last scene in the kitchen. From the beginning of that scene, if you closely watch John Carroll, his reactions to the dialogue is very funny. This movie is a keeper. Cheers from Canada.
How wonderful these old movies are.... no sex scenes or use of drugs .... not trashy like the movies they make today. Thanks for sharing this movie. Enjoyed it very much.

were people really like this? I grew up in the 70's watching these. Its like looking at another planet compared to today. Everyone wore hats back then, nobody seems to now.
It's no wonder we always cheered for the underdog. Walt had a heart and wanted us to have one too. Sure different now a days ain't it? I still have mine but no one cares about wether or not we do or don't. They just don't care. 70's sure were different.
I'm 56 years old, a disabled shut-in, and I've had nothing but time to watch movies this last decade... and I have. Usually 3 a day and I'm about out of movies, and modern Hollywood has alienated me, so I've been rather depressed. This movie brought me wet eyes. It was positive in a way that society has lost. That Disney has lost. I guess I cry for what we have lost, as the gains have brought us no positivity and no civility, just division that was never Walt's intent. It wasn't perfect back then, but I feel liberalism in America tossed the baby out with the bath water. Unfortunate that politics infiltrated entertainment and they went to focused agendas rather than general lessons in character and civility that offended nobody. I cry for yesterday.
@@elgato894 I believe that the next decade will bring entertainment back to considering profits and demographics. It won’t be at the snap of a finger. It will be a slow and steady shift as decision makers clear the ranks of the activist infestation they permitted.
@@cynthialytle123 Disney is tanking. Why is Disney tanking? They aren't selling the same product that had made them a household name. This is because political agenda from the left alienated everyone on the right. Sorry, I was a classic liberal that knew hearts and minds was how to achieve change. Modern liberalism just changes things and tells people to deal with it because moral imperative validates their rightness and rightness always wins. Is that politics or sociological commentary? And liberalism doesn't abide old Disney. It reimagines it for "modern audiences" and is over a billion in the hole because of their belief in their own rightness, and bleeding out profits from their theme parks, selling intellectual properties, in a legal battle with Florida, and cutting streaming services. Are you willing to say that modern liberals are responsible for all of that? Change is fine. Bullying change will always fail.
