Different seasons is the most underrated. All four stories are so well written. They also loosely link together, which is like a little side quest when you're reading.
Love watching other SK Tier lists! Great list and I’ve read everything from King and will start another read through again starting with If You Like It Darker once it comes out. ‘Salem’s Lot is my all time favorite!
Great rankings 👍 I can see how hard it is for you to rank the lower books lol... I think I'd have a tough time too. Dark Tower 4: Wizard and Glass is my favorite of the series. Hopefully you like it!
You had me for a sec on Misery! I was like brooooooo I agree with you on almost all your books takes that’s why I love the channel. I was like woah this is the first time we are way off lol
As another big King fan I’ve been ranking them as I go and feel the way you do that it can be hard! Even my lower rated ones I still had a most good time reading, I just liked them less than the ones at the top. This is what mine looks like so far 1. Dark Tower (full series, couldn’t choose a best) 2. 11.22.63 3. IT 4. The Shining 5. Pet Sematary 6. Black House 7. The Talisman 8. Different Seasons 9. Misery 10. Night Shift 11. The Dead Zone 12. Needful Things 13. Cujo 14. The Stand 15. Doctor Sleep 16. Eyes Of The Dragon 17. Fairy Tale 18. Salem’s Lot 19. The Long Walk 20. The Running Man 21. Christine 22. Firestarter 23. Danse Macabre 24. Roadwork 25. Carrie 26. Creepshow (comic) 27. Cycle Of The Werewolf 28. Bazaar Of Bad Dreams 29. Charlie The Choo Choo 30. Rage 31. Elevation
Started The Stand this weekend at your recommendation! Excited for the journey. I highly recommend Everything’s Eventual. I love King’s short stories and that’s one of my favorite collections.
I think im the only person on the planet who loved the gunslinger, i really liked the fact that you didnt know what was going on and how the the dark towers finishes makes me like "the gunslinger" even more. Other from that great tier ranking but the shining will always be number 1 haha 👍
I like Gunslinger overall but I was interrupted about halfway through when I had my first daughter four years ago. I really want to pick it back up and complete it.
I also really liked it, but I did have to go back and reread parts a few times because I thought I missed something. Nope. Just a fever dream read. Lol. I still haven't finished the series, though.
Gunslinger and Wizard and Glass fight for my top spot. I love how bleak the world was and how Roland was just as bleak/ran down. Wish some of that kinda stayed. Drawing of the Three is the worst for me 😂
I was amazed to learn how many Stephen King books I’ve read and forgotten about. Looks like you haven’t made it to one of my favorites yet - Under the Dome.
I'm so glad to see someone else has a similar opinion on Tom Gordon, and has the same favorites! I think I know what to expect as I continue going through the King catalog. Great video!
I was laughing with your intro-because I’m exactly the same way! Read a book…BEST book ever. Eat a meal…BEST meal ever! 5 stars to 95% of books I read, and 1 star to the other 5%, with passionate rant reviews accompanying them! That’s just the way it is…
Definitely come back and see if your thoughts change on The Gunslinger when you finish the series. It's one of the best in the series once you realize how the story unfolds!!
I loved this video. Fairly new to Stephen King and planning to read all of his books in chronological order. Carrie is the first of his books I read, and I loved it 😊
Oh my gosh, I'm the same way. "best book I ever read." almost every time. 😂🤣 Also, when you said The Gunslinger reads like a fever dream, you are not wrong. Such a fever dream. I haven't finished the video yet. Might comment again. 😂
This is off topic but there is a book called The Titanic survivors Bookclub. Not sure if you’ve already heard of it or read it. Made me think of you when I saw it. It’s about people who were supposed to have been on the titanic but somehow didn’t end-up on the ship. They end up coming together and forming a bookclub. It sounds great!
As a dad, of young kids, I can confirm that Pet Sematary altered my life. The movie for Doctor Sleep is good, but it picks up where The Shining movie ended. Because of that, the end of the movie Doctor Sleep is completely different (because of the hotel).
I'm loving 11/22/63. It's a thick book and it's not going to take long to finish. Thanks to you for recommending it. Billy Summers is also good but not as, speaking of tier ranking. You did good!
I've actually never read a Steven King. But I always want to. I'm a mood reader and read like 7 books at a time. His books are so long and intimidating. Hahahah
I read The Langoliers 30 years ago, and really loved it, but then never read any other SK book.. A long gap without reading anything followed.. Got back to reading a couple years ago thanks to Science Fiction (Remembrance of earth's past trilogy). Now I have a list of 500 SF books to read XD BUT! I just received a neat HC copy of Pet Sematary! Let's see if that gets me to read more SK stuff.
My list thus far: 1 - It 2 - 11/22/63 3 - The Stand 4 - The Shining 5 - ‘Salem’s Lot 6 - Firestarter 7 - Night Shift 8 - Skeleton Crew 9 - The Dead Zone 10 - On Writing 11 - Christine 12 - Dolores Claiborne 13 - The Talisman 14 - The Eyes of the Dragon 15 - The Colorado Kid
I've only read 6 of these books and I agree 100% with everything you said. 11/22/63 Incredible.... Misery.... The only horror book that gave me true scares cause it's that GOOD!
Shattered you put fairytale in Eh. For me it's pretty great. The hunger games chapters were hectic. I'm up to book 5 in DT and so far the wastelands is my fav.
If I remember correctly, you don’t watch many shows, but season 2 of Castle Rock is a (sort of) prequel to Misery about a young Annie Wilkes. The show is worth a watch. There are tons of nods to the Stephen King multiverse.
You will love the rest of The Dark Tower. I agree in that The Gunslinger was my least favorite of the series. However, the whole series I would say was “life altering”
The body is my favorite short story by Stephen King. I love the movie so much as well, it just might be my favorite movie of all time. I have a feeling Stephen King just did a bunch of cocaine and drank a lot while writing the Gunslinger, because I had the same feeling about it. I read it in my early twenties, and I had no idea what the fuck was going on. So I never continued with the series. I bought the first three books at the time as well. I think it's something I'm going to check out soon again, because everyone seems to like it who's a Stephen King fan. I just have to get through the Gunslinger. 😂
You putting 'Carrie' in ehh... hurt me. 'Carrie' is the single greatest book ever to exist. It does its age, and it's really short, but this book affected me like no other. Carrie White is the best book character ever written, and she's my favorite Stephen King character. The only thing that makes the book hard to reread is Carrie dying at the end. It's a book that changed my life forever.
no offense to Stephen King, but you will be reading so many more books, and I have a feeling ( actually, I know) that "the greatest book you've ever read" will change. However, you said that you do that all the time. 😊
Maybe you could cut your videos a bit. So if you're planning on ranking every book you’ve read, you aren’t stressed out. It can still be an hour long but if you cut some rambling, repetitions or slower parts it make the video feel worth to watch. That’s just my two cents, happy reading
We love a tier rank
Give Billy Summers a read . I absolutely loved it.
Ugh. I called it Billy Bummers. I didn't like it at all.
@@nikkivenable73 Classic thriller book, would not recommend as first Stephen king book, cuz you cant see KIngs magic. But it was aight.
Different seasons is the most underrated. All four stories are so well written. They also loosely link together, which is like a little side quest when you're reading.
you really got me there for a second with misery 😂
You have quickly become my favorite!!! Our reading taste is similiar...and your obvious love of reading is apparent. Thanks
A few days ago, I found your UA-cam Channel. You are super cool! Love your opinions, well-argued, greetings from Perú and keep going!
I recently just bought 11/22/63 after seeing you rave about it on TikTok, super excited to read it!
omg you should definitely read Apt pupil asap. It's amazing!
You had me for a sec on Misery! I was like brooooooo I agree with you on almost all your books takes that’s why I love the channel. I was like woah this is the first time we are way off lol
Came here to say the exact same thing!!!

Started The Stand this weekend at your recommendation! Excited for the journey. I highly recommend Everything’s Eventual. I love King’s short stories and that’s one of my favorite collections.
The stand was my first sk book and it is my favorite book ever. You Will love it. Flagg is sk best villian in my opinion
As a fellow King reader I enjoyed your tier ranking 👍
Lmao not me yelling at the screen when I thought you actually might put misery in barf or bottom 5 😂
I think im the only person on the planet who loved the gunslinger, i really liked the fact that you didnt know what was going on and how the the dark towers finishes makes me like "the gunslinger" even more. Other from that great tier ranking but the shining will always be number 1 haha 👍

I really liked it too, it was the same concentration I had with Gardens of the Moon.
The gunslinger in my opinion was the most ominous and mysterious., and for that reason I liked it a lot
I've been trying to get into more King novels, so this vid was perfect timing
Top tip if you wanna read the dark tower. Just get past the gunslinger you won't regret it.
I was laughing with your intro-because I’m exactly the same way! Read a book…BEST book ever. Eat a meal…BEST meal ever! 5 stars to 95% of books I read, and 1 star to the other 5%, with passionate rant reviews accompanying them! That’s just the way it is…
I love the joy you find in life for each new experience.
Loved the video. Have you thought which Stephen King book you might read next?
Definitely come back and see if your thoughts change on The Gunslinger when you finish the series. It's one of the best in the series once you realize how the story unfolds!!
I loved this video. Fairly new to Stephen King and planning to read all of his books in chronological order. Carrie is the first of his books I read, and I loved it 😊
Great video! I loved this!
Loved this tier list! I just finished the dead zone by King, which has so many elements comparable to 11/22/63. Another highly recommended King title!
Oh my gosh, I'm the same way. "best book I ever read." almost every time. 😂🤣 Also, when you said The Gunslinger reads like a fever dream, you are not wrong. Such a fever dream. I haven't finished the video yet. Might comment again. 😂
Just started 11/22/63 audiobook. Loving it so far. Have you read ‘Flowers for Algernon’ not king but great story? Love the channel 👍

I’m reading King for the first time because of you. Im just waiting on my copy of Misery. After watching this video, I feel good about my choice.
Yes yes tier ranking every book! Im up for that!
As a dad, of young kids, I can confirm that Pet Sematary altered my life.
The movie for Doctor Sleep is good, but it picks up where The Shining movie ended. Because of that, the end of the movie Doctor Sleep is completely different (because of the hotel).
Great tier list! When are you planning on finishing the Dark Tower series?
currently reading it for my book club so ill be finished towards the end of this year!
@@booksaresick Can't wait to hear your thoughts on the series.
I was initially so excited when you were about to put Misery near the bottom! I was like, yes finally someone who agrees with me on that book! Lmao! 😂
For a second there, we about threw hands with Misery 😭😂
I'm loving 11/22/63. It's a thick book and it's not going to take long to finish. Thanks to you for recommending it. Billy Summers is also good but not as, speaking of tier ranking. You did good!
Thank you!!! This is great 📚
i have only read IT and i loved it, definitely gonna chaeckout more of Stephen kings work
“I like Stephen kings’ rambling” 😭 why did I feel this so hard.
Great video, thanks
11/22/63 is one of my all time favorites as well! Thanks for list - going to grab The Stand next!
I absolutely agree with Fairy Tale review!!!
Me too! The first 3rd was just great, classic King but once the portal opened....bleh.
I've actually never read a Steven King. But I always want to. I'm a mood reader and read like 7 books at a time. His books are so long and intimidating. Hahahah
I've only read 2 and I'm surprised it's one that you haven't! The Institute, nothing special but solid.

You have to read the last story in Different Seasons called The Breathing Method. One of the best stories I think.
My list thus far:
1 - It
2 - 11/22/63
3 - The Stand
4 - The Shining
5 - ‘Salem’s Lot
6 - Firestarter
7 - Night Shift
8 - Skeleton Crew
9 - The Dead Zone
10 - On Writing
11 - Christine
12 - Dolores Claiborne
13 - The Talisman
14 - The Eyes of the Dragon
15 - The Colorado Kid
My favorite Stephen King book is one he wrote under his pseudonym, Blaze. I don’t know many people who have read it but, I loved it.
I am 140 pages in at the moment and loving it so far. Great call out for this Trunk Novel.
@@themantheycall Yes!! I’m so happy to have found someone who’s reading it!! It’s so good in my opinion!
You know he’s Canadian when he has a whole tier called “Eh.”
15:25 Doctor Sleep is my favorite Stephen King book right after 11/22/63
Just finished The Eyes of the Dragon yesterday and really liked it! I know this tier list was stressful 😂
Green mile!
I'm just gkad that Pet Sematary ended up so high on the tier ranking list. It's my all time fave book.❤
The way I audibly gasped when you said Pet Sematary was going in bottom 5 at first
I loved The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon as a teenager. It was the book that got me into King. Also huge fan of The Dark Tower.
"Eh...BARF" made me laugh 😂
I love a tier ranking and Stephen King, this is my new Roman Empire 💕
I've only read 6 of these books and I agree 100% with everything you said. 11/22/63 Incredible.... Misery.... The only horror book that gave me true scares cause it's that GOOD!

You should tier rank your 2024 reads in June! Halfway update.
You will love the rest of The Dark Tower. I agree in that The Gunslinger was my least favorite of the series. However, the whole series I would say was “life altering”
Ahh, constant reader - agree with the Fairy Tale ranking. I SO loved the first half… not so much the second 🤓
Please please please keep reading the Dark Tower series! You will absolutely not regret it 😊
My breath caught when you said misery may go at bottom 5😂😂😂
My favorites are Revival and Joyland. I also enjoyed The Body (Stand By Me is my favorite King adaptation). Sooo... there's that. 😐
You definitely need to read Needful Things and The Green Mile. And try his short stories
Please tier rank every book you’ve read!
As soon as you placed 112263 into the top tier, I had to hit subscribe and like. I was gonna comment too but I decided not to.
Perfect rank for on writing but the stand needs to go higher. Great video, really enjoyed it.
He put it second fr9m the top, what more do you need? And The Stand is boring. I've had it for years and still haven't finished.
you HAVE to read Mr.Mercedes and End of Watch
Christine?
Here for the tier rank, let's go. Before I even watch it, The Shining is too high.
The body is my favorite short story by Stephen King. I love the movie so much as well, it just might be my favorite movie of all time. Yea bro I didn’t find The Shining to be life altering! It was OK to me. Didn’t see what all the hoopla was about
I was about to be so pissed if you put Misery in barf tier

The stand is really good yall should read thay
That
no offense to Stephen King, but you will be reading so many more books, and I have a feeling ( actually, I know) that "the greatest book you've ever read" will change. However, you said that you do that all the time. 😊
are you saying I should cancel my "11/22/63 #1 4ever" tattoo appointment?
@@booksaresick 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Your podcast is great! Don’t feel like you don’t know what you’re doing because you do!
You felt so bad about putting some of these books down that you should have had a “It’s not you, it’s me” category. 😄
Are you going to try to read every Stephen King book?
I will watch a 2 hour video 😉
Fairy tale was such a disappointment with how well it started. I never even finished it.
doctor sleep was a disappointment for me after the shining tbh
Hate tear ranking
You need to read the Green Mile and the Institute
Also do you play the quitars?
I wouldnt put a single Stephen King book above pretty good category, and thats being generous.
