I’ve been looking forward to this video. I found your earlier video on this backpack when I was researching for my new back pack. I also bought this pack. I’ll be honest I wasn’t convinced you’d get it all in! It’s a very versatile pack, you did a great job! The open pocket is a game changer. Look forward to the next one and see it out on the trip. Have fun!
Hi @lymskiUK, and thanks. Yeah, I wasn't even convinced myself that it would work either, so it was quite surprising. And indeed without even using the option to attach pockets to the external molle system. And yes, I am looking forward to taking it on a trip next week. Hav a nice one out there 🙂
Morten, Thanks for the detailed review. Was looking at that pack as well. I live in a National forest area in the states and also do a lot of 2-3 day excursions and think this pack will work well. By the way, love Denmark. Spent quite a bit of time in Denmark prior to retirement. Looking forward to your future reviews.
Hi and thank you 🙂 Yes, for me it is also best for my shorter trips, where I can bring more equipment and a little more weight than the longer hikes. Today (when I wrote this) I am going on a 2 day trip, where I test the backpack out there. Sounds lovely to live in a national forest area :-) Have a great time out there 🙂
I have the same backpack by 5.11, but in Double Tap. It’s a great backpack for international travel, however, you have to be careful NOT to overload it. Depending on what domestic airlines you fly (in my case, Alaska Airlines), a fully packed backpack will not fit inside the overhead compartment. I wound up checking it in with my other check-in luggage with no extra charge. International airlines was no problem because the overhead compartment was spacious enough for the backpack to be stored. Great video, my man. 🍻
Yes, I was actually also curious about whether it would be approved as hand luggage on flights. But I've taken it on flights (international) a few times now and there are no issues. But you are right that you should not fill it too much. There is a weight limit and there are also some size limits that must be observed. So you have to pay attention to the width and height if they check. Anyway, thanks for your comment, I really appreciate it 🙂
Hi Morten, I have the same backpack as you. I’m curious to which straps you are using to tie your carpet and so forth etc, to the bottom of your backpack. Can you tell me which exact brand and model you are using? Thanks again Morten for this incredibly detailed review.
Hi, and yes, I certainly can 🙂 The strap was bought in a Danish webshop called "Army Star". I don't know if they ship internationally, but you can check that out on the website. You will find the specific straps here: www.army-star.dk/brandit-packing-straps-120-2-pack
i literally have less than half of things packed in my rush72 but its so god damnnn heavy :( i cant even walk with the bag., thanks for the video, peace
It’s an enjoyable video. In my opinion, the more you pack into a pack, it will become a heavy burden to carry while hiking or walking long distances. Rush72 is a great pack but a true backpack like Osprey or Gregory may be more suitable for camping stuffs 😊
I totally agree. I also never wanted to pack that much again, it was way too heavy. And I myself also use Osprey or similar lighter backpacks for hiking. But, if you have to pack heavily, this Rush 72 is built for it 🙂

Yes, I think I also pushed it to the max ... just for the sake of the example 🙂
