Denmark
Приєднався 6 кві 2022
This is all about Outdoor Life, Nature Connection, Vikings, Old Norse & Animism, Shamanisme, Mindfulness & Meditation, Outdoor Gear, Outdoor Cooking and Hiking & Traveling.
I am an old & wise guy living in the forest in Denmark, Scandinavia, in connection with Nature. I camp out a lot, I practice a little Shamanism & Mindfulness in nature and I also often go Hiking or Travel to remote places far from civilization.
I am also very interested in my Nordic heritage, the Vikings, Old Norse and Animism.
I spend many hours by the Campfire, Cooking & making coffee, thinking out loud & day dreaming. And, I love to share many of those wise thoughts with all of you in my Campfire Talks.
I also do a lot of Reviews of outdoor gear. I use many different kinds of outdoor equipment, and I love to share my experiences with you.
My hope for us all is to return to a more natural state within and find a better balance between our modern and our primal souls.

Why the brave Danes defied the German War Machine | Resistance in Denmark - World War II
Probably the shortest War fought in World History. The Danes' unequal defense against the German supremacy in the Second World War (on April 9, 1940) lasted less that six hours. But it was proof of when men defy the odds and fight for their lives and freedom. This is the story about the German attack on Denmark in 1940 and the subsequent five years of resistance by the brave freedom fighters.
Denmark was attacked and occupied by Germany, the Nazis on April 9, 1940 during World War II in Europe. The War at the Danish-German border is also called "The Six Hour War."
The Danish army faced a massive war machine from Germany, but despite this, the Danes still tried to fight back. And against all odds. The war was short, and the Danish army had to surrender.
Denmark was then occupied by the Germans, the Nazis, and this occupation lasted until the end of the war in 1945. The Nazis took control of the Danish police, government, and population, and oppressed the country for the next five years.
But beneath the surface, the Danish resistance movement grew. Just like in many other European countries occupied by the Germans. And here began the real war for Denmark. The resistance movement, the brave Freedom Fighters of Denmark, carried out sabotage on German material, depots, bases, and more. They made life difficult and hard for the German occupying forces. The Freedom Fighters were the real heroes of the war.
In the forest where I am recording this video, there is a memorial stone for some of the fallen freedom fighters. At the same time, this very spot in the forest was a so-called Drop Spot, or Drop Zone, where our allies dropped weapons and ammunition for the resistance movement. These were brought to the nearby castle, Skjoldenæsholm (Skjoldenaesholm is about 800 years old). The castle was used as a hiding place for both weapons, ammunition, and the resistance movement itself.
Some Danes sympathized with the German Nazis and acted as informants. These were considered traitors by the resistance movement, as many resistance fighters were executed or deported to concentration camps because of these informers. Therefore, traitors were the most hated by the resistance during World War II.
Some particularly tough resistance fighters were part of so-called Death Squads, who hunted and captured these traitors. They would then drive them out to the forest and execute them with a shot to the back of the head. It was a hard and brutal job for these people, and many of them never had a normal life again after the war. My own grandfather was one of these.
In this video, I tell the story of the Danish army's brief war against the Germans, I tell about the heroic fight of the Danish resistance movement, and I show the special memorial site in this large, beautiful forest, where the Danish heroes are remembered in silence. Hidden from the world, just as they lived and died.
Disclaimer: The historical facts are simplified in some places, as the full and detailed account of what happened during World War II is extensive. I am retelling the story as I myself have been told it by, among others, my father and my grandfather. Likewise, many film clips/footage are not from the authentic events, as there is, for example, not much material from the freedom fighters' actions and the like. Film footage is therefore in most places only examples that support the presentation of the story.

Danish Pancakes: Delicious & Sweet made on the Campfire | Long Version 🥘🔥
Переглядів 60Місяць тому
In this video I will be making delicious Danish Pancakes (aka Crepes) on the Campfire in the forest. A wonderful trip out into the Bidstrup Forests here in Denmark, where there are a couple of good shelter sites. The pancake batter is mixed from home, but otherwise I made both coffee and the pancakes over the fire. They were a little too burnt 😄 but still tasted really good. A lovely day in nat...

More and more people are talking about checking out of society. Leave civilization. Turn your back on the hamster wheel. Escape the Matrix, so to speak. To live freely and independently. Perhaps to find peace, tranquility and undisturbedness. And to be able to take care of yourself and live the life you want. A life that is not dictated or determined by society, or anyone other than yourself. N...

Where is it made and what is it made from?
The material is 100% nylon with Silicone treatment. It is a Danish brand, but I don't know where they get them produced. You can read a lot more about "Nordisk" on their website, which I think can also be set to English 🙂 da.nordisk.eu/products/oppland-2-si-tent-2-person-forest-green
Thank you sir for sharing your history of Denmark with us .
You're welcome. Glad you were interested. 🙂
The more i watch your videos the more i appreciate and like your channel, thank you for your time and knowledge.
Thank you, I really appreciate it 🙂
I think that this is the best wood stove at any price but unfortunately I can't afford it still. I'm disabled and unable to work anymore so I live on a very fixed income but I really need to get this stove to install in my old bus for heat and cooking.
It's a fantastic oven. Just be aware that these types of ovens are not approved for indoor use. They are not necessarily completely airtight and can therefore cause carbon monoxide poisoning in the worst case, if there is no good ventilation..
Awww god bless uuu foreverrrr❤
Honest review, thanks for your time and effort that you put into this video. Appreciate the lack of specs and the heads up on the passenger seat denying that extra space, what the hell were they thinking, this is not a cheap vehicle to purchase, space is exactly what we are looking for or why bother, just buy the Aygo. lol ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
they lost in 6 hours! but they didnt run like the Brits did in Norway and France!
I love Ginger’s. I rescued two of them who came to my porch! ❤❤❤
Thank you for opening your heart and your home to such beautiful kitty.
I enjoyed this video and I have both that grate from Trevor and the FT-6, oddly I've always assembled the grill with the hooks down. Thank you for sharing.
Ohh, you're definitely assembling it the right way. I don't know why I got it upside down 😂 But I can see now that those little knobs on the top are there to lock the legs. Glad you reminded me of that, thanks 👍👍
Thank you for the video.
❤❤❤
Beautiful 😻
He is so beautiful! You should call him Harry. He looks royal with steadfast loving eyes & just a hint of mischief....wishing you both many years of love, pets and caring for each other. For he will you know, he knows you helped him and will love you always.😊😺💗💗💗💗
No saw cuts on the push and pull. It’s one or the other. I think the pull cut is more accurate and easier to use for long periods
This cat didn't look like a lonely or hungry cat. She had beautiful fur and otherwise looked very healthy
I got an older big orange boy inside once after feeding him outside for 3 days. He kept begging me to come in, so I finally brought him in. He had lost most of his tail to a coyote. Perfect gentleman. I rehomed him to a dog groomer. He is their office cat.
GOD BLESS YOU AND ALL YOUR LOVED ONES ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤AMEN
🐱🙏💜🙏🐱
I saved a blonde tabby male in the street. I took him home. He is the longest legged cat I've ever seen. A long slender body and very long legs. I named him Tommy. He bears the marks of rough street life. A torn ear. A scar on his back. He is mine now.
Parabéns ele te escolheu! Gratidão por cuidar e amar alguém tão especial. Muita saúde e felicidade! 🐾🐾💕
Orange kitty's are so sweet and lovable. You got a great best friend ❤
Thank you for taking care of him! Also, don’t know where you live, but the woods are beautiful(so is the kitty).
I live in a forest house from 1860 in Denmark on the island of Zealand. There is not much forest left in Denmark, so I have been lucky to be able to live here 😊😻🌳🌲
@ It’s beautiful. I have 50 acres, most of it is woods, but not nearly as pretty as what you have. I live in North Carolina and rescue cats…🤣
@@annettestone1282 Sounds wonderful. Beautiful nature and lovely cats, what more could you want from life 🌳😻😄
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
He is so happy now and he loves you for his rescue ❤❤
GOD BLESS YOU FOR SAVEING THIS POOR KITTY AMEN TO YOU AND MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL AMEN 🙏🏼 😊 ☺️ ❤️ ✨️ 💖 🙏🏼 😊 ☺️ ❤️ ✨️ SUCH A BEAUTIFUL CAT CUTE 😍 💖 😊 ☺️ 💕 😄 😍 💖 😊 ☺️
I have a ginger,love her,Thank You
Gorgeous cat, slowly getting used to going inside. Thank you for helping him. ❤
Take that sweet little guy home with ya!! ❤❤❤
Uhm, that is a full-grown CAT, not a KITTEN.
@@carolynolsen132 He's a little over a year old in the video so I'd probably still call that a kitten, but then again, I'm no cat expert. But at least not a full grown cat.
Wish one would find me!!!
I so miss that game Horse Paradise Ranch. This reminded me of it.
It was meant to be!! Blessings. ❤
Hes not freezing ...
I read that this kind of cat can handle a maximum of minus 8 degrees (celcius) frost, and it was minus 10-12 that day. Since he was forced to sleep outside every night, I think he was actually quite cold.
Hold on here. I recognize that cat. I saw it in a commercial just the other day. It's a cat actor
❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you!!❤
He reminds me of our cat, Sherlock. Thanks you for taking care of this treasure of a cat. God Bless you for your kindness.
Thank you for rescueing her,I rescued my Little Big Mouth from the back of a pickup truck on a day when it was going to be 90degrees out and kept her until she passed last year
Thankyou for taking him in.💚
LOVE
What a beauty! I'm obsessed with gingers & this one is gorgeous 🥰
❤ So. Cute ❤ BEAUTIFUL
BEATIFUL THANK GOD GOT SAVED LOOKS SO BEATIFUL 🙏
Thank you for taking care of kitty
Semplicemente unico ❤😻❤💋😻💋🌺😻🌺💞😻💞
I want u angel❤
In no world is this a "kitten". It looks very much like a full grown, and well fed cat that is quite used to humans (approaching you immediately, not running away, which would indicate "scared"). Is it YOUR cat? Your neighbors? Its someone's cat for sure. Not lost, not scared, not hungry, not a kitten. Please stop exploiting animals on UA-cam in the hopes of generating revenue through monetization. It is in itself, animal cruelty.😿
The story about the cat (which I later found out after a lot of research) is that he had lived in the house here in the woods with an old lady before me. It was about a year earlier that she had him as a very small kitten. But soon after, the old lady came to a nursing home and the cat was forgotten, alone out here in the forest. Later I took over the house and it is only when it becomes winter and frost/snow that he tries to contact me. Here he is a little over a year old, and still what I would call a kitten. He's certainly managed to catch mice, rats, small snakes and the like over the summer, but when it's all frozen to ice come winter, there's not much food left. And the cold is also too hard here in Denmark for him to be able to handle it outside all the time. And I can promise he was hungry when I fed him. Actually, it might be too much to spend time on this long description here, but I don't like it when people claim I'm lying. This is a true situation, true cat and true life out here. It actually still exists.
❤ Thank you 🤗
