- This video is of my father and battle buddy being honored for his military service at the Utah Jazz vs. The Houston Rockets basketball game on JAN42015. My father has served 20 years in the Army and Navy as well as 3 combat tours In Afghanistan and Iraq. I cannot express the gratitude and love i have for my father, men and women of the armed forces, and those who support them. I'm proud to be the son of such a great man with so much inspiration. This video isn't for glorifying my father, but a deep and heartfelt Thank You! to every veteran, past and present!
Servicemen don’t cry because they are wimps, they cry during moments like this for all the ones who couldn’t make it home to receive these accolades.
Your commment is ver unique god bless
A Beirut Marine thanks you.
Bravo Zulu. Semper Fi.
Till Valhalla 🇺🇸
Well said. 🇺🇸
On my last deployment I lost 6 crew members and instantly knew what those tears were for. Thank you.
I have just barely seen this after so long and the reaction this video is getting is amazing! Quick update, my father is now retired (23 years)! He has also beat his cancer and is living healthy and well! Thank you so much for the gratitude and outpouring love for him and all of our service members!
Thank you and your father for your service! So happy to hear he beat cancer. Prayers that the both of you live long and happy lives.
I’m so happy to hear he beat cancer! Thank you to you and your Dad for serving our country bravely & humbly. I hope you are doing well with your injuries from the war. Big hugs 🤗
As a neighbor from the North, thank you all for your service to your nation and with your allies. o7
Thanks for the update. And thanks to your father for his service. Great stuff.
thank u for the update. god bless u. greetings from germany
I love how People from America genuinely respect the people who serve for their country. True, genuine, respect, salute!
Except apparently those serving to protect the Capitol on January 6th. Not a lot of respect for those boys'n'gals in blue shown that day. Oh, I forgot those abusers were actually misguided and lost tourists.
For defending what?? Who attacked you?? God will not be merciful towards you!!
They dont tho that's the sad part
@@Mikii713 who are you to say who our Heavenly Father will show mercy to? I can guarantee you that you obviously don't know who our Heavenly Father is. Remember what crowd our Lord and Savior stayed in? It wasn't the so called perfect people who judge other people.
Sadly many of them love the soldiers while they are active or deceased, they avoid them when they come home with PTSD, mentally broken, physically disabled. They like the heroic part, not the human part.
Goofy kids in the back.😑🤦🏻♂️ They should know better but at least they stood up in the end. Respect for the veteran.
They’re kids
@@jcinfan They're old enough to know better.
Someone needed to slap them in the back of the head and said get joe a.. up
At the end, they stood up.
its not irrespect, its just 2 kids, they have 15 years... but ok
Look at his face...so humble...so brave I salute u sir god bless america
@@nanocr shut the f up
@@nanocr not like only a few centuries ago ppl killed so much easily and without remorse. we got it so lucky in this era.
@@nanocr calm down jamal. Dont pull out the 9. Oh sorry that comeback might have been to agressive for u😥
@@nanocr i hope you have an older brother.....who brings you back under control ! Shame on you !
Fuck america.. fuck the us
"Comes from long line of national heros" this is the way he should be introduced everywhere he goes
thank u for ur service and ur families service over the decades of this country
@Nuffsed ya might wanna look in a mirror buddy
@Nuffsed wasnt an argument just a statement. People like you make it very easy for others to be considered smart
@Nuffsed why on earth would i be triggered? Do you even know what it means
@Nuffsed and what populations have we sent our soldiers to butcher then? Enlighten me
@Nuffsed yeah no shit we've already learned this its not like we're proud of it but that happened before the civil war so this video has nothing to do with it
I love how he says “thank you” into the camera as if he needs to thank the country for something. Thank you sir!
For that 1 day, that 1 minute, that 1 moment... he was acknowledged and that meant the world to him. We love you, soldier. Thank you.
A patriot from a long line patriots. God bless that man and his family.
Hmm the iraq war is the most unnecessery war in the whole history
Bit like the one from Forrest Gump
@@stylterio4053 why you acting like they had a choice to go? Tf you gonna tell the military, no? Have fun in military jail.
@@spooky8179 wtf dude?
@@stylterio4053 ignore him. He completely ignores the fact that people choose to fight and when, the middle east was and will always be a failure.
Man those tears says a lot.
Still going strong with the support! You all are projecting so much love and support it makes me tear up everytime. I'm sorry I don't reply to hardly any comments but, know that I'm constantly seeing and feeling the support. We love you!
Your Dad is WONDERFUL!!! Thank you to your entire family for your service. 🇺🇲
Hei here after the recent suggestion 😊. You guys have served the humanity
Prayers and respect for your father! ❤️❤️❤️
Lots of love from India 🙏🙏🙏
I glad your father is happy and healthy. He seems like a humble and wonderful human being.
I miss the old days when everybody respected our men and women in uniform, no matter which uniform it was. Military, Fire and Rescue, Police. I salute you all!
@kev I wonder why police is so universally racist no matter what country you're talking about and what minority there is in this country
I’ve yet to meet or hear of anyone disrespecting anyone in the armed services, especially those who fight overseas in the military, navy, and army. And who doesn’t like fire and rescue? Nonsense.
Unfortunately TRUMP killed old America. Disgusting human. Wrecked the place.
@@Iamsoul00 I'd say fire and rescue is the most noble as it actually seeks to preserve life rather than destroy it.
What old days? I see most everyone still respects the men and women in uniform. If anything, the old days didn't respect them. Remember what they did to the men coming home from Vietnam? Don't know you're talking about.
I also apologize for initially missing the fact that you, too, deployed alongside your father. A big 'THANK YOU' for your service, Corey!!
You sir, are a BADASS!!!!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I'm not an American but I'm so proud of what he did for his country, thank you for your service sir Larsen.❤️🙏❤️
@0:06 they show a banner with ""LARKIN"" as the family name & then at the end they said ""LARSEN"". Did I miss something or did the announcer screw up or was it the intern that wrote it wrong?
very kind of you
You may not be from America but you show more respect then many others. Thank you
Thank you sir for your service
He must have his belated friends and brothers in his mind
It really does mean a lot to the veteran when they get recognized for sacrificing so much for our country. They don't ask for it they always just hope someone will see it and appreciate it
You can see the pain is his face...memories...
The fact that this man beat this disease made my whole week, whether it was God, or just grit I think he earned the right to stick around for a while. Thank you sir for your service.
A humble man, who's content knowing he did the job he wanted and what was asked of him.
Much respect from one Guardsman to another.
This brought me to tears. I come from a family of military men and it reminds me of how special time is with our loved ones who served this country.
I haven't been in the military for about 15 years and I still tear up sometimes thinking about it.
Thank you for your service
Dear Sir ... Thank you for your protection and your service for AMERICA!!!
Hey man, just came across this video. Thank you for what your family has given our country.
That was awesome. I'm so glad to hear he beat his cancer! He deserves it - to live a healthy happy cancer free life. Thank you for your sacrifices and service!
From England, respect to this man, what a life, what a man,I've done nothing with my life but struggle with addiction and depression and anxiety, this man is a true hero. His family must be so proud
Your struggles are no less painful. I hope that you are doing well.
Your father is a hero! I'm a Canadian but I doesn't matter that I know what your father did for his country and this is exactly what makes him a hero. I'm happy to see in the comments that you father beat the cancer! I wish him and your whole family an excellent day. 👏🏅
I honestly hope he is ok in remission and living a full life well lived thank you for your service for your country

As a disable vet, I am so proud of Americans (and other nations) who serve and who have served, because freedom is a right for everyone and some don't have the ability to fight, so we do it for them.
