Try clapping once at the beginning of your recording and make sure your camera can see! Then you match the video frame of the exact moment your hands met, with the point in your audio file where the audio spiked from the clapping sound. Easy! Its the same idea as slating in film but without the slate.

Honestly how GRATEFUL could a human be for another human. Your techtalks helped me TF out. I binged watched them once and since then I've upgraded to sony vegas 13, recorded my sound witg my old iphone 4 and it was pretty dang great but now i have an huawei and i ain't trusting it so gotta figure that out as well. Still have my first camera (nikon L320) and need to upgrade that as well but cameras are expensive. so you saying, gotta make it work when you don't have it is my whole life as youtuber. i have my makeup on an old irontable infront of me, my boyfriend made a backdrop on which i put different fabrics and I will not stop until my set looks like a whole film set lol. You inspire me so much to just trust in improvement.

I currently film my videos using my ipad air, the audio is usually very low especially when I do talk through/ live reviews. any suggestion what mic should I use? something that can be plugged into my ipad/iphone. or a suggestion for a camera that has good audio? my subscribers are growing really fast xD so I want to slowly improve my video quality thank you!!

Love this video ❤️ I have a tip one of my uni teachers gave me that might help people with proofing - think of sound like water - if you throw water at the surface, will it soak in, or will it splash back? Can be really great to think of something we can't see in such a material way! Doesn't work for every surface but it's such a simple analogy, and I still think about it all the time when setting up a space 👌
