Hello Rob and Marvy!! So nice to meet fellow UA-camrs/vanlifers! We will be hitting the road soon in our vingtage conversion van. Hoping to go to New Mexico/Arizona first and do some winter boondocking. Appreciate the info we found on your channel! 💙Terry and Terri
I subscribed to your channel a couple of days ago because I truly do enjoy the way you describe things and places and just seems like you all are such kind caring people.
You actually need to go on the road the whipple observatory is actually on instead. That area has the most diverse, lush landscape in all of Southern Arizona. But it must be on the same road as the observatory. It's beautiful up there.
last time i stayed in tucson i was told , and it was true at the time , that the city didn't care if you parked on the street.....it may have changed by now , that was maybe 8-10 yrs. ago.....i parked near a city park in south end ........
Just a cautionary about pets indicated by Robs comment and it applies to humans, too. You really can't let your dogs run out beyond the bare camp area or they will get to looking like a Porcupine. Its an awful experience for your pet and you. Speaking of you and yours, same thing. Forays past camp can be an exercise in pain with jumping cacti and all. Cacti don't jump, but you might think so after you inadvertently collect a few or more ruining your adventure. So stay on the path/trail and away from unnecessary pain and your pets on a very short lease.
We had to head up to Las Vegas and Pahrump. Neither of us have COVID but Marvy has pneumonia and we had to get her on antibiotics and our Doctor is here in Nevada. We have a several more weeks here waiting for the snow to clear before our migration north,
So many varieties of cholla in your 👎 review. Pretty to look at but a good reason to keep pliers handy! Poor Jackson! I like how you tell both sides & remind people to use good sense in free parking lot spots. Tis a shame but some folks just dont know or care about the damages their thoughtlessness causes.
Sorry you might not be reading the GPS correctly. I have no problem copying them and entering them in a maps program ... try going to Google Maps and copy and paste. For example: www.google.com/maps/place/32%C2%B009'16.8%22N+111%C2%B006'56.1%22W/@32.154679,-111.1181434,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m4!3m3!8m2!3d32.1546745!4d-111.1155685?entry=ttu
Cracker Barrel right off IH10 northside of town, also Lowes and Homedepot parking lots JUST for overnight

My pleasure

Such practical advice. I am looking forward to seeing the desert. Lived on the east coast my whole life.

Great video of the Tuscon area, I learned a lot. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
You can use a hair PICK to help extract the Cactus 👍
The last place looked nice. 👍
It was!

Thanks for the reviews Rob! :). What is the cell service like in Ironwood Forest?
Ahhh forgot to say... it is between 2 to 3 bars on verizon... about -92db without a booster. Good enough for even Skype or movie streams.
Check out state route 79 towards florence AZ and Park Link tons of BLM out there.... Cattle Tank Rd, Terry Pots rd etc...my neck of the woods...

I subscribed 💯🤙
Nice sunrise/set opening! Question, why do you keep your hood open when parked?

Pack rats. Will eat your wires. Many use lights at night to discourage nocturnal activity as well
Where are you now ?
Did the southerly snow hit you ?

Oh dear very sorry to hear that.
Hope she clears the pneumonia.
I had thought ye would be down south.
