Standing Pilates with Weights | Pilates At Home Workout

This 28-minute standing pilates workout incorporates light weights to add extra strength work for the upper body as well as additional stability work. As always, core strength and stability will be key, especially during single-leg balancing movements. Along with finding stability and balance, we’ll also move our spines finding fluidity in the upper body.
Your weights only need to be 1-3 pounds, and if you don’t have weights you can use water bottles or cans of food that are evenly weighted! If you’re moving with control and intention, light weights are perfect for toning and lengthening the muscles without adding bulk. Adding weights to my pilates routines is one of my favorite ways to enhance and change up my workouts. I loved this. Working on balance. I have an issue with right arm so I can't clasp behind. Trying to modify.
Thanks Maryann 😀 If you have trouble clasping your hands behind your back, you can use a towel, strap or belt between your hands which will increase the distance and not pull on the shoulders/arms as much. Great job working on your balance!
