- Did I mention that I don't like the farm chicken wire grill material? Well in this episode I explore the possible grill replacement options for my 1973 TVR 2500M. Please help me decide.

Awesome unpacking of the big sample pack! It's always a tough choice to narrow down the styles to the choice you want for the vehicle. I like the mesh you just ordered yesterday and look forward to seeing it installed on the TVR.
Thanks, Customcargrills the installation will be a video on itself as I am planning on a new mounting method.
I really like the fish scale sample...
Thanks for the comment Jas.
Wow, tough choice. I think I’d go fish scale type or single crimp type…it will be interesting to see what your final choice is. As you said, pretty much anything would be better than what’s in there currently. Cheers, Tush
David, that's two for the fish scale.
I'm editing next video now and pretty happy with the first fiberglass repair. 👍
I have to agree I like the scallop, but as you said it might be too modern. The single ply bias weave is my vote for best compromise between modern and traditional. I have a 77 2500M with that same chicken wire and it is ugly. I'll be interested to see what you choose and how it looks installed. Please keep making these videos - they're great and an inspiration to those of us that have a 2500M. I'd be really interested in seeing how you removed the old glass and do glass in replacement. Keep up the good work.
Thank you @balanair8826, I appreciate the comment and the compliment. The fish scallop is getting the most votes especially from my family and friends. One of the benefits is that I have a small version for the NACA style ducts on the hood. Then they can be matchy matchy! I'm going to decide soon.
As for the grate removal, sorry no video, but what a PITA. I used a combination of the sander (link below) and a Dremel with both cut off wheels and lots of tinny sanding drums. I think i even used a well worn grinding disk with nice radius rather than sharp corners on a standard angle grinder.
Stay tuned for a future video of how I modify the bonnet front for installation of the new grill.
