Looks great and the modules has some nice features!!
I received mine today, awesome kit for the money perfect for practice 🙌
This kit is great. I have been looking at electronic drums for a long time. I'm sold I am buying these. Great job. Well done.
Great performance and instruments!!!
Besides the sounds honestly this is such a great kit, having an 18" ride for 990€ is such a great feature, also we can always edit the sounds even if this takes time, thanks a lot millenium and thomann !
you can use ezdrummer for better sound
I’ll be triggering with a vst anyway, after owning a td17 and not liking the sizes of the drums, this kit is literally my dream kit. Triggering sounds great and I didn’t hear any dead hits in your playing. The extra stand for the module is amazing and especially the 18” ride, which I had to upgrade separately on my Roland. The fact that these are real shells and look great is astounding to me at under $1000. Thank you so much millennium for this amazing kit!! And great review!!
Min 3:53 You played L’enfant Sauvage!!! OMG!! that’s a nice touch. Also the drum kit is really cool. Definitely looking forward to get one!
this is amazing! great review
Thanks so much! Glad you like it! //Simon
Absolutely an amazing piece of kit Simon
Just received my kit today here in Australia. It only took 8 days to arrive. Very happy so far. A big thank you Millennium and Thomann.
How big is it on the floor? including the drummer. can you please give me a measurement?
Can I ask how much you paid and where you ordered from? I'm in Adelaide
@@jeppo1185 It’s $1,590 AUD From their website Thomann drums
How do you rate the kit now after using them for a year?
I’m a beginning drummer and will order one. Looks great. Just hope I’ll get the hang of all those settings.
Whoa, shots fired to all the big brands with this design to price point. The outs, 360 cymbals, moving hi-hat, bluetooth at this price PLUS a whole acoustic size!!
Meanwhile Yamaha didn't bother releasing one acoustic shell version of their new flagship 😬
No? I think they did.
i am likeing this more and more
Just got mine wow well worth the money looks really good solid feel got a day off Thursday going to be playing this all day had a few little goes played a couple of kits waiting on a bigger drum mat the drums only took 7 days to arrive and was asked what time would you like it delivered great job Thomann happy guy from the UK 😊
Much more up to date than the new Yamaha e kits!!! Well done millennium!!
Epic. Looks incredible. Would be super interested to try this out with a drum VST plugged into my DAW
Go for it! Did you check Connectivity video yet?: ua-cam.com/video/P5Chv-CT5rU/v-deo.html
Cool kit !
Great video! Love the fact that you can get 5 shells & 3 cymbals and hardware for under €/£1000
shame about the sounds but think bigger millenium! you may have got on par with an alesis module
but you still need to smash 2Box & roland.
Great review! I hope this kit will be available in Canada sometime. This is a great option without having to spend thousands. Module has a lot of useable features for the price range. This will make gigging more interesting with real look drums instead of tiny discs.
you can order from there site(they can ship to Canada) because is a brand names for there music store only and you will never find in other music store
did you get them? I am looking to get and we gig quite a bit - need to know about durability
@@daveg4236 I ordered the mps-850 from Canada and they arrived in spectacular condition and play very well! I am looking to upgrade the module so I can attach a 3 zone snare, expand the kit, and add the millenium nonapad drum sample to it as well.
Awesome kit. Color screen. Beautiful shells, sounds, and cymbals. Great price. It's literally a dream.
save money til christmas :D that's what i done for my guitar and what i'm def gonna do for this kit
Wooow. I like those low priced kits.
This looks awesome. Huge cymbals.
I got the MPS 850 Xmas 2019.
I would really like to now, what trigger system is used... Center mounted or not.
Anyway, our MPS-850 pads are still working.
Hi 😁 thank you for this video. Please tell me if it is possible to save sounds from VST plugins in the module's memory in order to have these sounds without having to connect the module to the computer every time? ☺
Exellent introduction...thanks
Would love to see what kind of trigger design the toms have also are you guys going to sell the cymbals indivuedually?
Hello Simon, thank you for the great review and I really liked it so much and made me buy my drum kit! I just want to ask you what is the best double kick pedal for the 1000E ?
Hi Firebird. Well, you can choose the best pedal which suits your playing style. It will also work with the MPS-1000 //Simon
You know even with the 4K Roland VAD kit that is not perfect and the sounds not all that great, this right here is a GREAT alternative for sure as most would be using it as a practice kit anyways.
This kit is almost perfect for my requirements. The only deal breaker is the rim and cross-stick are triggered from the same zone at different velocity layers. I really wish they cross-stick was triggered from a different area of the rim like the Yamaha XP80 from their DTX Kits!
4:01 shamelessly playing gojira haha :D
So...2 years later- how are these holding up for those who have them? I am looking at picking these up and we gig a lot so we need something durable. Both hardware and the brain. Thanks
This is pretty good for the price. You get alot of nice features. It can work as a shell-based practice kit and if you mess around with some fx and editing outside the module, you could have lo-fi/indie drum sounds. Right out of the box, it doesn’t sound great but if you are creative and think differently, you could make this work.
I don't think a good e drum exists where you wouldn't need ezdrummer/addictive drums etc. Unless you have 12k to put into an e kit. It doesn't matter if the built in sounds are bad
Great review! Thank you! I got two questions
1. There is a mash pad on a bass drum, it does not affect the sound of playing with double bass pedal? No extra sounds etc when playing fast?
2. Does the modul have any trraining features? Roland and Yamaha have so colled Rytm Gates, so first of all it shows you on the screen your accutacy when you play with metrenome, or yamaha could even cut out the sound if played out of time. Does this module have anything similar?
Thank you!!
Good afternoon Simon, this video has been really helpful 👍.
I've found the EQ settings as you explained & made some adjustments... My kit has come alive!!.
I haven't gone into edit my Trigger menu that you've mentioned yet, because to be honest, I don't completely fully understand the different options. I can hear a difference in sounds, but I don't really understand the graph that you display 🤔. ( I'm guessing it's all down to taste & preference? But I don't know??).
Thank you very much for your support & feedback.
Kind regards, Shaun 👍.
Hi Shaun. Sounds amazing. Glad i could help. Yes, it's all about taste & personal preference. Choose the one that feels best to your playing. //Simon
How do the sounds of this module compare with the sounds of the 2box Drumit 3?
No midi output? Is the a way to connect to the module to the midi input of an audio interface? As i dont see the usb direct to computer working well with out conflicts if you are usung an audio interface and the same time.
This and the mario duplantier archetype gonna smash my house
Quiero añadir un plato más además de los que ya tiene esta batería, se puede hacer?? Donde se conectaría al módulo??
Graciass
Question ❓ can I add another drum or extra cymbal on the same module,or do I need a separate module for that?,I'm planning on buying one this Friday
How about a video with the new versions of this drum set? The white one is amazing
Will this work with DTX module too?
Das ist gut 😊
What kit do you think is better, the MPS-1000 or the Fame Hybrid Pro?
Can you layer the imported samples with the onboard sounds and is there a smooth mixing setting like in Roland modules?
Hi! Direct Outputs is balanced? Awesome review!
how to get your drums sound from a computer (ZEdrummer 3 ) in to and out through the 8 outputs of millenium MPS 1000 soundmodule ?
I have bought this kit but want to use it with a Roland TD30 module, but the hihat won't work properly with this configuration. Only open sound, can't get the closing sound at all...
hey good video! how are the settings of your hi hat? I just can't get it set so that it works properly, I'm starting to think that it's defective.
Keep wondering if the MPS module is comparable to a Roland TD27, although It looks more like an Alesis Strike to me.
Hi,nice review, am very interested in saving my play stand alone, can I save midi notes or it's only saleable in mp3 format in the quick record?
Thanks in advance
Can u please answer my question?thanks
New to these Elec kits, Can you tell me what speaker [s] and would I have them up hi mounted behind me ?
Very intstresting 😎👍🏾
It s possibile recorder whit only USB in module?
Is there only 1 input required for the ride cymbal....seems strange as most rides of this size these days have 2 inputs for bell/bow and bow/edge and 2 ports on the module....worried that this makes this cymbal incompatible with other modules
If the storage was bigger then definitely this is a huge VFM drumset 🎉
QUESTION: what about the actual noise of the kit with shells instead of pads? Is noise the same? Wondering about playability in a condo with neighbours
Min 7:25 you played Rock and Roll!! OMG!!
Wie sieht es mit einer Erweiterung aus? Zusätzliches Crash, oder eine weitere Tom?
Wurde das Problem mit der hi hat (gost notes) gelöst?
Are the drum pads (mainly the bass and tom pads) compatible with a roland td-27 module?
Hi, where is the link to download the User Kit (Bonham Style)? I can't find it in the description, i'd like to try, send please. Thanks
Can you use different modules with this ??????? As in efnote , or mimic pro etc
Hello :)
is this Kit expandable? like can you add more Toms? More Cymbals? :)
How much space do I need for the Millennium MPS 1000 edrum kit?
The hit hat yamaha rhh 135 is compatible with this drums? Please.
To record a drum cover how do I get good audio from the drumset to my phone
where is the downloadlink for the created sample? :(
Ok, what if I decide to add more cymbals. Can I do that? And how?
Yeah would love to see a video of this using superior or SSD or something similar :)
Coming soon! //Simon
Great stuff Simon! Thanks 🙂
Probably gonna switch from the 850 to this!
Is there an option for wires off sound on the snare drum?
The download of the samples you made is not in the video description as you stated?
Great sounding kit for this price point it's honestly unbelievable for under a grand and it comes with all the hardware! Most don't come with hi hat stand, pedal for the bass and at these sizes for the toms! It's gonna be a contender for sure with other drum modules especially since it is a conversion sort of kit! Truly amazing price honestly! I do have a question Is it compatible with other drum modules like Roland td 17 module?
Please anyone answer! Especially if the bad latency of 10 milliseconds would be cured by another module. Important question for me!
I was wondering the same thing. I have a pearl mimic pro.
En teoría si se podría utilizar con otro módulo Roland, por ahí he vistos con la batería Millenium mps 1000 con módulo td17
Good evening! I bought this drum set from your store in Ukraine.I played for two hours and the module froze.I turn it on again and it hangs on the drum set model and does not load further. How to restart the module? What key combinations are used for this? Thank you for your answer!
There are 9 faders to adjust the 9 different drums pad levels but there are only 8 direct outs. I understand that you can adjust each direct out to be whichever drum pad but If I was to use this kit live or to record with the direct out then would I have to not use 1 drum pad out by default?
Please let me know if you have any idea as I am iterested in purchasing this kit
I think you can send only a pad/sound to main out, or, build a kit that sends the bass drum to the left channel, the snare to right and mute all other sounds in main mix, then you will have another 8 out :P
Hello Simon ! two questions about that new set : - Is the charleston sensitive to hit when closing it AND opening it? (when you hit it and release it right after)? Also, is the USB working correctly to set on VST on computer, as its the only midi signal out apparently? Do the software get the signals easily? ezdrummer etc through ableton. Thanks
Hi OktoPulse. Thanks for the comment. 1. What exactly do mean with charleston, or was that a typo mistake? 2. Yes the USB is working correctly with a VST Plugin on the Computer. There is a video coming pretty soon exactly about that topic! //Simon
@@ThomannsDrumBash Thanks for your answer, I meaned HiHats (Charleston is the word we use in france for it, sorry ;) ). Basically while most Hihasts work fine with the cllosing sound (if you hit it and close it right away), it's harder to get the other way around : to have the "opening sound" (hit and open right agter).. I hope its clear, and looking forward for the video ! I like what i see in this one, maybe just the snare looks a bit loosy like moving aroung when you play it..
cheers!
@@ThomannsDrumBash I'm waiting for that video before I make my purchase. I use SD3
Hi, its possible to add video how loud its without connection? It's similar like electronic drum kit ? I'm looking something to our flat . Let me know if possible
Thank you
Same question is here. How loud it without amplification?
But being an e-kit - what does it sound like when its NOT plugged in / playing through the headphones for home practice ?
check this video out - playing the kit without sounds - includes a lot of stick clicking to give a reference to volumes ua-cam.com/video/hxtJ2xTmZwg/v-deo.html
When will you have more videos....VST etc?
Just wondering if you play this with headphones, is the sound others hear minimal or do the drums make noise?
Can you add more cymbals to the kit?
Wow!! I would like to buy it, do you sell to Mexico?
does this ship to the US?
Can this be used with a Roland module ?
I'm hoping its going to be possible to buy additional drums if you wanted to expand...i want a 3 up and 2 down so will want an extra tom-tom and floor tom and also an extra 2 x 15" cymbals, using splitters or an additonal module to connect up........hoping the Thomann website has these available for purchase as individual items
It seems strange that they went for a 13 snare and not 14 but for the price point u cant argue too much i suppose
Hi Darren. Yes, it will be possible to buy single drums and cymbals to expand your setup but not until the end of this year. //Simon
Did you buy additional pads? And if yes did you use a splitter for the expansion or an additional module? Because I'm thinking of buying this set and expanding it too!
Can’t see the link to the Bonham kit that you mention in the video - it’s not in the description
Hello, first of all, I'd like to say that this is a great presentation video. Very nice work! After that, I have a question.
Is this product compatible with Superior drummer 3 to change the sounds of the drumkit? Thank you in advance for your response.
Seems to work with Superior Drummer 3 rather well ua-cam.com/video/ZBahHL7UkJE/v-deo.html
Is it possibile to use it with a roland Module? (For example TD-17)? At least pads like toms and snare.
Yes, I am pretty sure you can, but the more expensive Roland modules may require a specialist cable from Roland for the cymbals to work properly (I believe they have a resistor built into them?). I use a Millenium MPS-850 with a Roland TD-6V module and it work a treat, but the TD-6V is an older Roland module.
Can anybody tell me how we can add our own track so we can play along with it?
Hi, great video, do you think its worth to buy the MPS-1000 over the MPS-850? or i'ts not that big of a difference comparing to the price difference
I have the MPS-850 and would like how much better the cymbals are in this, because the one-zone cymbals from the 850 are pretty bad.
@@xBaphometHx I also have the MPS-850 but mine came with 2 x dual zone crash cymbals and 1 x triple zone ride cymbal. I still use it today but with a Roland TD-6v module - it sounds awesome and I gig with mine too!
@@andyblank2139 you are so lucky! I want dual zone cymbals!
Hi. I'm thinking about learning to play drums and buy my first kit, so sorry for my really silly question. Why the snare in moving all the time while you play it? I can see that toms keep stable while you hit them but snare doesn't (seems disturbing to me). Is that because an unstable fixation of this kit or it's a normal thing in every kit? Thank's for your fantastic video!
Hi Robert. I think this is because I am a pretty heavy hitter 😅😅😅 so if you don’t play that hard it will not move at all. //Simon
Btw im pretty late but even acoustic kits do that, its not an exclusive thing and it doesnt mean its not sturdy
looks great, but I need one of those compact jobs. I have a small apartment in the city.
Stumbled across this as a possibility for a practice kit at home. Does anyone have any understanding of the outside sound? Is it fairly quiet when hitting the pads and also using the kick?
You can still annoy your neighbours with this kit! The mesh pads on the toms and snare would be similar to drumming on cushions or pillows. The kick pedal will vibrate through the floorboards without any dampening. The cymbals and drum rims are noisy and similar to a drum practice pad. I'm assuming you'd like to know how the kit sounds unamplified.
@@astrecks Thanks for replying. I have a small electric kit and know the pads are fine its the kick on the floor that is fairly loud. I would always use this with in ear's anyway so not bothered about that sound. It was more in case it sounded louder than a normal roland for example.
What's a realstic free space you need for these?
can i change the heads to normal heads?
What does it sound like not plugged in?
Just bought this kit. I am trying to play along to songs using headphones and a mobile phone conneted via Bluetooth.
The volume of the song is however way louder than the drums. What am I doing wrong?
Volume of the drums through headphones is really low, even when not playing other songs.
How big is it on the floor? including the drummer. can you please give me a measurement?
Hello Mr Simon
I'm about to buy it but I have a question please I need your answer
(Can I change the sound of each one to the sound I want?)
Edited: Thank you Mr Simon you already answered my question in the vid
Glad i could help :-D //Simon
Wow! Can’t believe I bought the crimson 2 for the same price.
Is it possible to use this kit with BD pedal?
I literally just bought the MPS-850! *cries* Are the cymbals available separately?
The will be from next year in! //Simon
Does anybody know how to factory reset the module?
how to compare this with the 850?! that one is less money of more tom toms! ....but not the look of an acoustic kit.. anyone that tried both that can tell me what to chose?! thanks
