I'm surprised how good this sounds. Those room kit sounds are actually really nice, not really fake sounding like a lot of edrums.
Hi guys, finally a video on this kit, which seems like the best value for money at the moment, thank you for this. Here are 5 things you want to show people with any e-kit:
1. Hi-hat continuous control
2. Snare center vs. rim vs. cross-stick (and for all pads, head vs. rim)
3. Snare buzz rolls everywhere on the head (for trigger detection)
4. Ride edge vs. bell
5. Cymbal chokes
I totally agree! The most important things are the hardware capabilities, not the cheesy sounds of the module. Many people will use this set with EZ Drummer or Addictive Drums, so we need to know how chokes/bell/rimshot etc. sound/work! Also Leute, das bitte beim nächsten Video berücksichtigen, Danke... ;)
Totally agree. And the PDF manual
This is only a sound demo. My tip: Read the bonedo review to find the information you want :)
FreezeWarrior "READ"??? Oh my... ;) Thanks for the tip, I didn't know there was a review.
@Nix Neato: My irony detector doesn't come to a clear conclusion...
Oh my, can't believe how good that standard sound :O
It sounds way better than I expected
6 drums for 600 dollars?!? I’m sold.
And four cymbals and don’t forget the bass drum. Also the great drum brain
why is the snare miked? haha
Because they want to measure latency, the time between actual strike and sound.
@@brynte65 hmm, that's a good explanation
@@demonicsweaters you seem to be here too lol
How does it gel with logics midi drums, i rarely use the sampler that comes with the drum kit... so how does it fair with usb midi?
La concurrente parfaite..des yamaha et Roland !
How does it work with double pedal?
Hello, this is one of the oldest videos about this set and i wonder how its holding after 2 years, any problems? Thank you.
nice instrument to study at home!!
My grandson wants to learn drums !!
Great!
That’s nice to know
Very fun to see that heads are not so white they are soft grey and a bit clear
If anyone is wanting an Ekit to trigger drum software then this is a great option. Far less expensive than the top 3 brands.
But what about latency?
This brand is hard to find the inform on Google . I want to know more about it
what country it is made in?
It's a german music store "house-brand"

Can you send all pads individually per channel via MIDI? you can record your drum on your own channel so that you can then record it on e.g. can mix cubase? Thanx for answer
Yes absolutely. When adding the vst (in Reaper for example) it asks me if I want all the channel in one track or one track per channel. From there, you can map each midi channel with each drum sample you want
Apologies if this is a stupid question to ask but do you have to buy a speaker for this E-drum set in order for it to work in a venue setting? I'm thinking of buying one but I'm not sure how the thing works. Thanks
You dont, there is a place you can plug in headphones
Will I be able too hook this up to laptop in order to use software like EZDrummer?
Yes
Definitely. I plan on getting a set of either these or the 750s for the same reason although I'll just use the drum rack in ableton as I can have a varied range of fx assigned to each individual drums 😉

@@galeadis The video doesn't answer the question.
Hi there, I'm just wondering if I bought this kit for Xmas would it be possible for me to upgrade parts of the kit over the years? For example if I wanted to upgrade the module/brain a couple of years from now would that be possible? Would I have to purchase a module that is of the same brand as the rest of the kit? Thanks
i asked them something similair a while back on their support form regarding if other pads from for example roland would be compatible. to which they responded with a Yes. so i assume the same goes with regards to the module
you can actually, just see if the module is the one with separate cables for every pad or just the big cable with pins with different jacks
Some of these samples sound like they have already been in other modules before. I suspect it's the companies that outsource to medeli like Kat, alesis and Simmons. I have a Kat kt4 module and it has some decent samples of DW and Gretsch drums, but the rest of the samples are of lower quality put in for numbers sake and I have heard many of them in this video and others of the same kit. Anyone else hear any familiar sounds?
Stephen Petrikowski Thomann’s Millenium, Musicstore’s Fame, Alesis, and some other branded cheap kits are built with generic chinese part.
The module is the same for all the kits in this price range and made by the same company. The design is just different but the electronics are the same.
If you compare equivalent models from different brands, you’ll notice the pads and cymbals are the same too, except the brand printed on it (custom design but same manufacturer)
WAV sample import - excellent option!
Gracias
Why is there a Mic on the

Hi, we also check the latency between the stroke signal on the pad and the module output in our reviews. Thanks for watching!
@@DrumsBonedo that's great that you do that.
Is the latency & velocity okay?
@@Arsinoe22 it does, you check when the hit happens and when the sound comes from the module, therefore u can measure the latency
@@DrumsBonedo Hows the latency then?
Does this kit have a ride bell?
someone knows where can i find some new preset sounds for this kit? Thank you!
you can download drum vsts, check out battery 4 and ssd 5 (steven slate drums)
Use superior drummer 3 with it ;)
why this drums is not available in USA?
Hi I want to by this drum kit but first i had to check the dimensions of it can you help me ?
Hey! Dm me if you want I got it for Christmas !
Ben Badarou you need 1.1 by 1.5 meter
where can i buy this is in PHILIPPINES?
Hello, great review! Is it possibile to swap the supplied heads with the Roland's ones or others?
Lju ` If theyre the same size I can see why not
As long as it has a female jack you can put any pad from any size and manufacturer, and replace toms with cymbals and vice versa depending on what you need... but if you mess with the pad types you’ll need to use a plugin, unless you want to hear a tom when you hit a cymbal ;)
Pretty good kit
This module uses the same stock sounds as the Alesis Surge Mesh.
Can you use any other bassdrum pedals like double pedal or do you have to use the pedal what comes with the set?
I think you can use whatever you want even a double pedal
www.thomann.de/de/millenium_pd222_pro_serie_fussmaschine.htm
How's this compared to say and Alesis Nitro Mesh kit?
This is way better because you get more and it is bigger
Why is there a mic on the snare?
Looks great as a practise set for home. How durable would the kickpad be for a doublebass metal drummer? I get the feeling it's going to wear out hellafast.
Use a kick pad protector a kick patch and you should be good
If any, what would you say is the difference between this set and XDrum DD-530? They both look way too similar...
the millenium has an extra tom and one more cymbal. the HI-hat is also on it's own stand. with the pedal connected to something that lifts it up when you press down on it to add a more realistic feel to the drums while playing them
Mine doesn’t even sound close to this. Anyone have the same issue or any fixes?
Hello i cant get rim shot ans cross stick at the same time ? Need help

Have you had issues yet?
@@masondchong no , i did not have any problem, i own 1 year now and the kit very durable yet.
@@masondchong I just got this kit 2 days ago. I have seen it's made by Medeli, the same co that makes the Alesis. I have the Alesis Nitro and have literally beat the sh-t out of them. Yes. Plenty of room for two pedals.

Sadly only 2 hi hat positions..
How is this kit reacting with a vst?
I'm interested too... is there anyone that have this kit? How the rack is? is it stable? is the hardware good? the vst configuration/respone? tnahks
I think a large majority of people who would buy this drums wont use the sample inside the module but VSTs instead. So it's a very important part to test x)

niklasoh yes
@@marc7970 so I can buy it right? Will it have a problem with fast double bass drumming? I say no but I want to ask if someone knows.
hi, someone can tell me if snare has cross-stick?
Yes the snare has cross stick as I’ve seen many people play cross sticks on this kit
Why does the snare drum need to be amplified with a microphone?
It's already been answered.
It’s to measure latency
Is it possible to switch the 2nd floor Tom with an additional cymbal? And how many cymbals is possible to add? Thanks
Hey since you haven't been answered, I'm pretty sure you can the extra tom for another cymbal and unfortunately you can't add any extra inputs as the two extra inputs are already taken up by the extra floor tom and the cymbal to the right, if you wanna see more about the millennium MPS 850 I've got plenty of videos and my channel! Take care :)
@@Jimmyoldfield thanks a lot mate!
@@fabriziot.4657 no worries man!
You can add many cymbals if you wish you just have to buy splitter cables. I added two cymbals and an extra pad.. You just lose rim sounds for the toms
Pretty decent sound kit with good sounds. Hihat is a little wonky.
What do you mean by the hihat is wonky?
The hi hat is stand alone (the drum kit includes a hi hat stand ) which may make it seem out of place or “wonky” if not set up properly, although here it seems to be set up correctly so I do t know how you think it’s “wonky”
Hi. Very good playing :). I thinking of buying this kit in the near future.
Can you tell me if this kit runs well with ez drummer or other software?
Does it have high latency?
Thank you!

Amp for external audio, or headphones or any sort.

How come it's only 600$? For such a great kit...
pretty inexpensive compared to the Roland E drums
j o m be careful, don’t let the price tag distract you from the fact they use a mix of Roland, Alesis, Simmons and other brands in their “house-brand” kits. Look at the pictures closely. I haven’t seen any disclaimers stating the stock photo may differ. Buyer beware

@@aaaaa-dq7ko Nobody goes on a stage with this kit. It is for practicing meant for the people who can't have an acoustic kit in their room and can't spend 2000+$ on an e-kit. If you don't like the sound then buy a VST like EZDrummer and then you will have great sounding drums.
when you hit the drum it takes a long time before the sound comes. I think it is not easy to play along with others that way.
That’s not what it actually plays like though. That’s an editing mistake, it’s audio recording latency. No reputable drum set would pass if there was that much delay.
The coll drums 🇬🇷🇬🇷
Why a mic on the snare?
Hi David, we also check the latency between the stroke signal on the pad and the module output in our reviews. Thanks for watching!
Makes sense, understood! Good playing :-)
How was the result with this kit? Thank you
Can u add a double bass drum pedal to it
You can so I've heard in a review but it said that after a little while the pedal broke through the mesh
I saw a video on the 750 mesh set and the guy was doing a cover of almost easy by avenged sevenfold and he was using the hi hat pedal as the secondary bass pedal. I'll share the link to the video shortly.
I bought it for the electronic drum sounds, but i thought my Alesis mesh kit would have some real-sounding acoustic kits, lol. Snares and cymbals are good, but all the toms sound overly processed and fake. This seems to be what I should get, I think.
Can you use Get good drums on this module?
What about the rims?
You just gave me flashbacks, I used to have this profile photo like 3 years ago and it's like one of these photos that you find when you google cool profile photo XD
