You’re very welcome!
Thank you so much I’ve always loved to bake and I want to start making my own Mexican bread. I’ve just recently saw someone on tik tok do coco melon and Winnie the Pooh on conchas but like u said there was no instructions or recipes. Can’t wait to make some concha’s for my cousins on their birthdays or special holidays with their favorite characters on them ❤. Baking is my love language and this was much help! Thanks!!
That great to hear,I hope the recipe helps you.
Thanks ❤
You're the real MVP! 🤗

Thank you so much ☺️. I always wonder if anyone enjoys my tutorial. Thank you for your kind words they really bring me so much happiness . 🤞 That my channel continues to grow!!!
@SC Cakes & More I tried piping this weekend and I guess I went a little too crazy when adding the cake goop because all my piping melted/disappeared once I baked it 😅😭
@@cristis2859 😅 try again add more paste, make it as thick as you can put still able to be piped. It also happens to me a couple of times🤗
Thank you! For the concha paste: is 2 cups of flour. On the video you said 2 but the recipe you listed says 1. Thanks again for sharing!
Hi, the Concha paste is 2 cups of flour and it might feel like it's too dry but just keep working the paste and it will come together.Thank you for letting me know. I'll fix that !
Thank you so much for sharing! Would you say it's equal parts cake goop to concha paste?
Hi thanks for watching I have better results with a one to two ratio. So for example let's say 1 tsp of cake goop to two parts Concha paste. The idea is to make the paste thick enough to hold it's shape but still be able to pip. Hope that helps
Thank you so much for sharing beautiful 🫶🏼🫶🏼
You are so welcome
I actually wanted to give this a shot, but before trying something that for sure would work, I wanted to do a experiment. Adding extra shortening to the normal costra paste to where it was pretty 'liquidy' did the trick! I think it should be worth a shot.
Oh yes definitely, I’m pretty sure that’s how it’s done. But at the time I was trying to figure it out . The cake goop was what I decided to use.and it worked so I continue to use that method. Like you said, just adding shorting works just as good. Also, if you don’t use cake goop it’s a less extra step to have to make .
Could I use butter instead of vegetable shortening?
Hi there , Ive never tried butter , but give it a go .I always make cake goop with shortening. Make a small batch for example 1/3 cups equal amounts butter, oil , flour.see if that gives you good result. In regards to the concha paste I have seen people use butter instead of shortening but I personally haven’t tried it. Hope that helps.
Thank you so much for this! It’s always frustrating seeing others say they’re here to help but when you ask they won’t share. I appreciate this!! 🤍
Aww thank you, that’s exactly why I shared this tutorial. Hope it comes of great use to you.
I have tried asking also and I never get an answer
do you add any sugar to this!?to the piping mix!
Hi so I use the Concha paste to make the piping paste. No extra sugar added since the Concha paste already has the sugar. I mix the Concha paste with the cake goop and that's how I make it pipable. Hope that helps
thanks!
Hola podrías decirme los ingredientes en español ?? 🎉gracias
1/2 taza Crisco
1/2 taza de aceite de vegetal
Para la pasta de conchas use
1 taza de azúcar glaze
1 tasa de Crisco
2 taz as de harina todo usó
Lla está en Español espero que te ayude!
I tried making the paste but it bled on my conchas :( Did i add too much cake goop?
Hi yes definitely it has happened to me too. Try more concha paste then cake goop . You need a very thick consistency. Also, if you’re doing dark colors, I suggest to pre-color the concha piping paste a couple of days ahead, so you won’t have to add so much color food dye.
thank you so much for your reply! i’ll be trying again this weekend!
No problem , let me know how it goes!!
2023 is my concha era. This is going to change my life 😁😁
Awww that’s awesome, I’m super glad the video was helpful to you.
