Love Shin Whizzers. Super useful for many wrestling styles. Work not only as submission threat but also as a Single Leg defense and exhausting opponent's energy tank.

Yes. I don't know how realistic that finish is though, I think most guys would just pull half or get up to a single leg. But it seems to work for him. It is a fantastic front headlock entry though, that's something that would work all the time. Going from the shin whizzer to the front headlock using that technical stand up (sort of). I'm definitely adding that to my knee shield half game when they weave their arm through. But to answer your question, it's a shoulder lock that rotates the arm externally so it's sort of like an inverted americana because he's facing the mat, but same mechanics. The reason why I don't think it would work often is because you're relying solely on your arm strength to pull his wrist up, but in the mean time he's gonna be coming up to a single. I don't think it's effective enough to waste the energy required to execute it. But I'm sure some people could make it work. It definitely is unique, it does have that surprise factor for sure.

Shin whizzard, eh? Cool trick! I didn't know it. Thanks Neil!
Nice. Must be hell to roll with Neil. Hands callused from tapping.
Hi Marshall. So you give your weight onto his shoulder and then pull up the forearm like Americana mechanics? Is it that?
Nice
Is that an Americana finish?
