YO, I dunno which video someone said Bernardo sounds like Kermit, but now I cant stop hearing it.
Man , I was trying for years to explain the annoyance I felt while hearing his voice. Now that you have so brilliantly nailed it, my conundrum is finally solved. Thanks bro.
Awesome, although Neil needs to get the moustache happening again.
Agreed
This is gold. More of these Catch wrestling techniques!
Melanson is a Wizard when it comes to grappling
I love catch wrestling, it only just adds to my bjj
Raj Joshi bjj is 90% catch wrestling
@@karimsayed6292 bjj guys don't like to talk about that...
Nice. Very unconventional. I have been thinking about the need to have more aggressive attack options when playing from seated position so this appeals. Opponents tend to have a certain idea about what you might do if you take what appears to be the more passive and "submissive" position and will be quite miffed if you suddenly leap to your feet with a technique like this.
What Melanson doesn't mention in this video, is that Folkstyle wrestling is a direct descendant of Catch wrestling. Of course most of the techniques will be similar, only the submissions are missing.
Wow! Excellent demonstration.
This shoulder attack is like the Americana / Keylock, but wedging your opponent from the top instead of allowing the ground to be the wedge.
"ranch cachure"
Interesting Guard. Just one question.
Any entry transitions to get there?
We neee a neil leg lock dvd right now
Neil looks like a tough, knowledgeable grappler but I don’t see mma fighters or grapplers pull of anything in his “systems”. Danaher guys pull off all his stuff in high level competitions. I don’t see that with Neil’s stuff.
Not all great grapplers are great teachers but I think it’s a matter of people that practice with him, do they even compete in these.
Neil is the Bruce Lee of the mats.
If these teaser videos are coming out now I know what I'm getting for Christmas this year lol
Interesting idea. I will try it out!
Neil has some nasty stuff. One critique is how hard he is on Bernardo. Very jerky. Even just showing the moves in that way can hurt someone. Wrestlers are rough. Not a fan of training with guys like him for this reason. Often times they can take the "fun" out of rolling. Effective stuff though.
I can handle it when dealing with an honorable gentleman grappler, but if the guy's personality is crap, it's definitely no fun.
You two should look at how he treats his training partner nick the tooth. He constantly asks if he's okay (which is nice) but even grappling dummies don't envy nick
Neil is shit hot if I won the lottery first person I'd get to train me !!
How good is this for mma/self defense?
TURTLE GUARD DVD PLEASE!!! TAKE MY MONEY!!!
Neil will never teach turtle. You turtle in a fight, you're done.
@@Presence_o_Mind He literally talks about using turtle in multiple technique videos currently online. Look this up, you have no idea what you are talking about.
@@luchador1764 Just explain what you explained and recommend to look it up. No need to be a dick about it.
@@luchador1764 There are tons of videos out there. Obviously I haven't come by those while checking out others.
@@Presence_o_Mind This is the internet, expect people to be a dick about everything.
pretty advanced stuff
3:04 bernardo in pain lmaooo
Which of Neil's DVDs was this covered?
It's in an upcoming DVD
I'm skeptical of the effectiveness but will try to hit this in the morning roll and report back.
How'd it go?
Neil lessons make me sleep again
