    As an organist I would've had SO MUCH fun with this. Usually in these old churches the organs don't work. You have no idea how lucky you are!

      Dan I'm learning the organ. Our Church organ recently had the blower replaced, along with the trumpets and a few other instruments. We also got new chimes! It sounds amazing!

    So sad to see such an instrument abandoned , too expensive to remove !

    Pipe Organist here. What The Actual Fuck guys. Do not, under any circumstances, go into an organ chamber and mess about with things. The bigger pipes in there can weigh upwards of 500 kg, and despite what it may seem like, they are usually not very well secured. Also, Please don't touch things like that. Pipe organ need to be thoroughly cleaned if they have been sitting in a dusty environment for a while before they can be used again, as the dust can be extremely abrasive when air is blown through the pipes. I have learned that from experience. Bottom line: don't go touching things worth more than you house that you do not know how to operate, because if you break it, it will be very, very, very expensive.

      Possibly, or someone might actually rescue it.

      Death By Asbestos That's a shame. It's a beautiful instrument. It seems to need repair though. It has a few pipes that are ciphering. Too bad it won't see that repair.

      That's very unfortunate. Everything is in such good condition. Seems like a waste. And I'm not even religious.

    That's about a million bucks worth of pipe organ. I hope some church can grab it.

    Looks very recently abandoned. No dust anywhere....wonder if it's for sale?

    Wow, what a beautiful instrument! Surely, someone must have taken interest in purchasing it?

    Where is this? Looks like a really decent instrument deserving restoration or a new home!

    you guys need to learn how to play phantom of the Opera and then go back and play with the organ again. that would be awesome 😂

    • @SubExploration
      @SubExploration 7 років тому

      I hadn't but i found it on youtube. Im guessing your referring to the music at about 32 minutes in :-P

    • @patrickmeyer2802
      @patrickmeyer2802 7 років тому +2

      There is no piece titled "phantom of the opera". It's Toccata and Fugue in D Minor, BWV 565 by J.S. Bach.

    The big question is how did you get in there and do you guys have permission to be in there. It might be abandoned / unused (for reasons unknown), but it still belongs to the owners.

    Am I unusual in finding the use of the 'f' word even more offensive than usual when used in a church? You don't need to be religious to know how to show a modicum of respect when in such a building. Common decency and good manners ought to be sufficient.

    • @wurlitzer895
      @wurlitzer895 7 років тому +2

      I'm sure you didn't, but at your ages, you really ought to.

      You must realise how false is that logic. Just because A and B are heinous crimes and therefore infinitely more serious than C (which isn't even a crime), it doesn't automatically follow that 'C' is therefore acceptable. It's a false and meaningless comparison. But I must say that the video was good apart from that one point - the more so as I know both the church and the organ! For what it's worth, I am genuinely grateful that you especially asked for the location not to be revealed, should anyone recognise it, so as to prevent any potential vandalism. So whatever difference we may have, thanks for that!!

    • @wurlitzer895

      That's good of you. Glad we're in agreement! All the very best and kindest regards Peter A

      The church is completely disused. What exactly are they "respecting?" Would Jesus have walked into the church and heard Death By Asbestos swear?

    Thank you for not trashing the church. Be very careful around the organ pipes, they are easily damaged. Hopefully this instrument can find a new home or................. remove the pews, install a bar, maybe brew beer on site, open a live music venue, organ gets used by touring bands, Everything is saved!
